About this listing
Real bed in newly remodeled 3bd 3ba unit in 19th century Victorian. A block away from shops, cafes, & restaurants of Fillmore St. Walk to Lafayette & Alta Parks, bus lines, and even cable cars! Walk score 98 and transit score 86!
You will be in a private room with a full size bed. The bathroom is in the hall but it is a 3 bed 3 bath so don't worry about waiting for the shower!
The main level of the unit features an open floor plan where you can enjoy the modern amenities of a newly remodeled kitchen or relax on the couch. You will also have access to a washer and dryer.
This room sleeps two in a real bed. Need to bring a larger crew? Check out my other room which can sleep a total of three: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/2374370
You will have access to the living room, kitchen, and bathroom. My room is "off limits" but make yourself at home outside of that!
Interaction with Guests
I have a day job so I might not be around a ton during the week but I like to try and connect with everyone who comes through for a bit. I live in the unit so I'm sure we will catch up but I'll respect your space.
The one thing I love most about this place is the location! You can walk about a block to the heart of Fillmore Street for cafes, shops, restaurants, and just about anything you need. If you want to explore the city, we are a few blocks from two great parks, a half a mile to the cable cars, and a one-mile walk through Pacific Heights' magnificent "Gold Coast" to the beautiful and historic Presidio.
The location is also very well served by the bus system. The central location puts the whole city in reach!
The location has a walk score of 98, a transit score of 86, and the roads are great if you aren't afraid to tackle a hill or two by bike.
This is city living. Parking can be a little tough, but, fortunately, you don't really need a car.
Several bus lines stop within 2-3 blocks so you can get anywhere.
Lyft and Uber are very easy ways to get around. Download the respective apps on a smartphone and you can hail a private driver directly to you within minutes. If you're a first timer, use the promo codes below and we will both get a free ride!

Other Things to Note
I have a selection of cereal for breakfast and plenty of coffee.
Also, please note the strict cancellation policy. Please don't book until you're sure you're coming!
My building has official quiet hours starting at 10 pm. No one is crazy about enforcement, but that does mean no late, noisy parties.
This is very much city living and, as such, outdoor space is scarce. To be respectful to others in the building, I don't allow smoking on the property. The neighborhood is great for a stroll if you'd like to smoke.
Feel free to use the kitchen and the washer/dryer, but please clean up after yourself!
Please keep the unit locked when you leave.
No smoking anywhere on the property.
Jay's place was exactly as he described it in his listing (if not better)! Jay keeps his place clean and welcoming, and I felt like it was my home away from home for the 5 days that I was staying in San Francisco. In addition to that, Lower Pac Heights is a great area and the access to Fillmore Street is exactly as he describes, which makes it really nice to be able to step outside and explore by foot. Jay was helpful to me if I had questions, needed recommendations, and is just an all-around good person!
We really enjoyed staying at this well located airbnb. The local area was lively and provided all our needs, markets, banks and restaurants as well as being close to public transport? Our room and private bathroom were clean and provided all the necessary convenience. The living space and kitchen adjacent to our room was also an added bonus. Jay, our host, was friendly, welcoming and helpful.
My stay at Jay's place was great! I didn't get a chance to actually meet Jay in person as I was barely there and I don't believe he was home at the time, but he was super communicative and welcoming via text/emails. The room, bathroom and common areas were IMMACULATE and the whole place was super charming and in a great location. I would definitely stay there again next time I'm in San Francisco. Excellent place, excellent host!
Excellent stay! Really clean (love the Roomba tooling around mid-day...). The place looks recently renovated, crisp, recessed lighting, fresh, modern bathrooms, very nice decor but still comfortable. I slept very well. Wifi is solid.
Jay is a great, personable, responsive host. I called at the last minute, and we were able to make a several-day stay work.
Excellent restaurants in the area, and great recommendations from host. (Tataki - sustainable sushi; Woodhouse - seafood dinner; Sweet Maple - brunch) Very walkable.
I would not hesitate to stay again. Both host and home were great. It is on my favorites for SFO!
Jay has a beautiful place and the location is great - just steps away from great restaurants but the room is quiet and the bed is comfy. He's a great host and place is as described. Definitely recommend it!
Everything was great and exactly as described. Jay did a good job letting us know what to expect, where to eat and being accommodating to our travel itinerary. Having the extra lock to the bedroom helped give us peace of mind before exploring the city.

About the Host, Jay
I am a San Franciscan originally from St. Louis but I came here by way of Colorado. In my free time I love exploring this city and others. I'd love to swap stories and ideas of fun things to do in SF and elsewhere!
Drop me a message if you're coming to town!
