Real bed in newly remodeled 3bd 3ba unit in 19th century Victorian. A block away from shops, cafes, & restaurants of Fillmore St. Walk to Lafayette & Alta Parks, bus lines, and even cable cars! Walk score 98 and transit score 86!
You will be in a private room with a full size bed. The bathroom is in the hall but it is a 3 bed 3 bath so don't worry about waiting for the shower!
The main level of the unit features an open floor plan where you can enjoy the modern amenities of a newly remodeled kitchen or relax on the couch. You will also have access to a washer and dryer.
This room sleeps two in a real bed. Need to bring a larger crew? Check out my other room which can sleep a total of three: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/2374370
You will have access to the living room, kitchen, and bathroom. My room is "off limits" but make yourself at home outside of that!
Interaction with Guests
I have a day job so I might not be around a ton during the week but I like to try and connect with everyone who comes through for a bit. I live in the unit so I'm sure we will catch up but I'll respect your space.
The one thing I love most about this place is the location! You can walk about a block to the heart of Fillmore Street for cafes, shops, restaurants, and just about anything you need. If you want to explore the city, we are a few blocks from two great parks, a half a mile to the cable cars, and a one-mile walk through Pacific Heights' magnificent "Gold Coast" to the beautiful and historic Presidio.
The location is also very well served by the bus system. The central location puts the whole city in reach!
The location has a walk score of 98, a transit score of 86, and the roads are great if you aren't afraid to tackle a hill or two by bike.
This is city living. Parking can be a little tough, but, fortunately, you don't really need a car.
Other Things to Note
I have a selection of cereal for breakfast and plenty of coffee.
Also, please note the strict cancellation policy. Please don't book until you're sure you're coming!
My building has official quiet hours starting at 10 pm. No one is crazy about enforcement, but that does mean no late, noisy parties.
This is very much city living and, as such, outdoor space is scarce. To be respectful to others in the building, I don't allow smoking on the property. The neighborhood is great for a stroll if you'd like to smoke.
Feel free to use the kitchen and the washer/dryer, but please clean up after yourself!
Please keep the unit locked when you leave.
No smoking anywhere on the property.
Great host. Quick to respond on messages and accommodating with the check in time. Location was convenient to where we needed to go.
Jay welcomed us warmly despite our late hour arrival. The apt was as advertised with private bath, lovely kitchen, Keurig morning coffee and a selection of dry breakfast cereals. The location was a big plus as it offered easy access to Muni (local transit) buses. Fillmore Street, just down the road, was an excellent walkable urban experience, with lots of choice for coffee shops and restaurants, many with outdoor seating. Although we didn't see much of Jay we felt looked after, as he was always ready to answer our questions via SMS/email. We really liked the code system for door entry and security on our own room. This is a quite neighbourhood where we felt very at home.
Jay's place is great. In a perfect very walkable part of San Francisco. Lots of great shops and restaurants. The actual place is 5 star, clean, comfortable, and accommodating. If you've never been to SF before this is a perfect place to start before you learn about city.
Jay is very easy to communicate with. Makes suggestions and open to any questions.
Jay was very helpful with restaurant suggestions for our first night in the city. His apartment was neat, clean and the perfect end to a busy day around the city. Loved the rustic, man cave feel of Jay's apartment, and would definitely stay here again!
This was a very comfortable stay. Jay provided great, detailed instructions beforehand that made my arrival a breeze, including that I was able to leave my bags there early without any problems. The room and bathrooms all were comfortable, roomy and clean. Though I never saw Jay, he was responsive to all my messages. And the neighborhood is really vibrant with easy access to the MUNI. Just head two blocks west, and you're good to go. And Jay had an assortment of San Fran tour and transportation brochures available. Highly recommended.
I stayed at Jay's place twice with a trip out of town in the middle, and it was great.
As the other reviews say - exactly as it looks on the pictures. I got the feeling of being at a hotel, but with the added personal touch. It was a high standard throughout and clean and fresh.
Jay was really easy going and friendly and made me feel very welcome the times we met.
The location is perfect, just two blocks away from Fillmore Street.
I am hoping to get the chance to stay here again next time I am in San Francisco, and can definitely recommend the place.
Jay was a fantastic host - really friendly and helpful. Everything about the experience was fantastic - Jay was quickly communicative. The place was great, bed was really comfortable, linens and towels were really nice, bathroom and shower were top-notch. I would definitely stay here again!

I am a San Franciscan originally from St. Louis but I came here by way of Colorado. In my free time I love exploring this city and others. I'd love to swap stories and ideas of fun things to do in SF and elsewhere!
Drop me a message if you're coming to town!
