Interaction with Guests
I have a day job so I might not be around a ton during the week but I like to try and connect with everyone who comes through for a bit. I live in the unit so I'm sure we will catch up but I'll respect your space.
The one thing I love most about this place is the location! You can walk about a block to the heart of Fillmore Street for cafes, shops, restaurants, and just about anything you need. If you want to explore the city, we are a few blocks from two great parks, a half a mile to the cable cars, and a one-mile walk through Pacific Heights' magnificent "Gold Coast" to the beautiful and historic Presidio.
The location is also very well served by the bus system. The central location puts the whole city in reach!
The location has a walk score of 98, a transit score of 86, and the roads are great if you aren't afraid to tackle a hill or two by bike.
This is city living. Parking can be a little tough, but, fortunately, you don't really need a car.
Several bus lines stop within 2-3 blocks so you can get anywhere.
Lyft and Uber are very easy ways to get around. Download the respective apps on a smartphone and you can hail a private driver directly to you within minutes. If you're a first timer, use the promo codes below and we will both get a free ride!

Other Things to Note
I have a selection of cereal for breakfast and plenty of coffee.
Also, please note the strict cancellation policy. Please don't book until you're sure you're coming!
My building has official quiet hours starting at 10 pm. No one is crazy about enforcement, but that does mean no late, noisy parties.
This is very much city living and, as such, outdoor space is scarce. To be respectful to others in the building, I don't allow smoking on the property. The neighborhood is great for a stroll if you'd like to smoke.
Feel free to use the kitchen and the washer/dryer, but please clean up after yourself!
Please keep the unit locked when you leave.
No smoking anywhere on the property.
Pretty nice environment. Though didn't spend a lot of time there, I really enjoy living here. Jay is also a nice guy.
All of the fixtures are modern and well considered. The bed is very comfortable and the kitchen is planned out. One day in I looked to extend but it was already booked up.
Router is close to room and internet is speedy.
My favorite part: the doors are on electronic keypad, so getting in is easy but you still feel secure. Every airbnb should have this.
Everything was accurate, house is very nice. Jay was very responsive when making arrangements and nice when I met him. I would stay there again.
Heard about Jay's AirBnB from my neighbors, who happened to be good friends of his. I was in town for a few days for a conference so I decided to stay with him. The pictures almost don't do it justice for how nice the accommodations are. Great location, very safe. Easily acccessible by Uberpool. Jay was out for a last minute business trip for the first day, but we were able to hang out for a bit after he got back on the next day in between my busy conference schedule. Great guy, very welcoming, and a lot of fun to kick it with. It was fantastic to stay here, and most certainly if I am every in SF again I will make it a priority to stay with him!
I only crossed paths with Jay briefly, on my second day there (access to the place is given via a number combo, entered via keypad) but he was bright and friendly. The place itself is very nice, with a well-appointed kitchen and bathroom, comfortable living room, clean towels left out, etc. Jay has great taste and seems to have thought of everything.
My only warning is to be aware that the space is on the first floor and around the side of the house, very close to the house next door. As a result, very little sunlight gets in here and it can be a bit cavelike (albeit a very comfortable and attractive cave).
The neighborhood is the primary reason I chose the place, as it is very close to Japantown, the Sundance Cinemas, fashionable Fillmore, and a fifteen minute hike from Union St. It suited my weekend stay perfectly.
Jay's place was exactly as pictured, and very welcoming and comfortable. The neighborhood is very quiet -- perfect for a peaceful night of rest. Additionally, Jay's place is a short walk from two very nice city parks, as well as a strip of boutiques and restaurants. It's the best of both worlds!

About the Host, Jay
I am a San Franciscan originally from St. Louis but I came here by way of Colorado. In my free time I love exploring this city and others. I'd love to swap stories and ideas of fun things to do in SF and elsewhere!
Drop me a message if you're coming to town!
