Our experience did not meet expectations. If the price of this B&B were a quarter to one half of what we paid, it might have been OK given its Allentown locale ( though this place is in the bottom quartile compared to other Allentown locations we saw). The air conditioning was in…
Response from Todd:
William had 6 guests in a 3br apartment and paid less than the cost of two hotel rooms, apparently he expects it to cost the price of 1/2 hotel room. It saddens me that he didn't say a word about any of this during his stay. I communicated with him several times prior to the stay, made extra accommodations for him (added an extra table, answered many questions). I'm sorry he booked the apartment as I want all my guests to be happy. To address his comments: 1. Buffalo is expensive on weekends in the summer. He booked it many months in advance. 2. AC doesn't work well with open windows and closing the shades helps mitigate heat gain. 3. Light bulb in bedroom flickered, that has now been replaced. 4. The fridge is clean, not as clean as Williams. Some guests expect a stocked fridge, some expect a completely empty fridge, mine is in between. It has the basics, water, butter, condiments... 5. My flowers had bloomed for the season, sorry. 6. House was built in 1872, has original windows that are clean & functional. 7. TV is exactly as shown, located exactly as shown. It's not the best, but it is exactly as advertised. 8. I asked him not to use the front hall as other guests have forgotten to lock the door. It's fully functional and the mail man puts my mail through the door slot so it ends up on the floor. As for storage, there is a mail basket & a broom. 9. There is no door to the cellar, as is common in 140 year old houses. 10. I wish William told me of any of his "problems" during his stay. I would have been happy to try and address them. Please look at other comments as it is difficult to meet everyone's expectations. Feel free to ask questions before booking. Todd
