We suggest you to come in our special apartment, located at the second floor of a 2 storeyed 1928 building with a out-of-time courtyard. The flavour is that of a lively countryside still being in the centre of Rome!
At the same time, the space has a good luminosity and is very quiet. It's also a really nice and pretty place to stay. San Lorenzo is central and easily connected to the city's wonders:
20 minutes to get to Termini Station.
One bus straight to the historical center (Piazza Navona, Pantheon etc.)
Ten minutes walking to Catacombe di Santa Priscilla and Catacombe di Santa Costanza.
In few meters supermarkets, cinemas, restaurants (Italian, Chinese, Japanese ).
The room you will stay in is independent, and has a door. Closing it you'll have your own intimity. There are 3 different spaces: a high ceiling room for daily life, a mezzanine with a large double bed and shelves, a private bathroom with small bath tub.
Before making a reservation please note:
- the sleeping around is planned only for 2 persons, but eventually and with a small surcharge a third one can sleep in a futon/sofa.
- Towels and sheets are supplied.
- Inclusive Wi-Fi internet.
- we are always with a smile ;) and if you have any question, we will answer you with pleasure !
ABOUT SAN LORENZO DISTRICT (from the '36 Hours in Rome' guide of the New York Times)
Not all of Rome is set in stone. For a dose of neo-realism, stroll around San Lorenzo ((website hidden)), a former working-class district near the Termini station that’s come alive with chic boutiques and workshops. Find handmade women’s clothing and jewelry at Myriam B. (Via dei Volsci, (phone number hidden); (website hidden)). Claudio Sanò (Largo degli Osci 67/A; (phone number hidden); (website hidden)) makes custom bags and other leather goods, and Candle’s Store (Via dei Campani, (phone number hidden); (website hidden)) has artisanal candles.
A handful of restaurants specialize in what Italians call “creative cuisine,” new takes on old standards. One of the newest is Pastificio San Lorenzo (Via Tiburtina, (phone number hidden); (website hidden)), an upscale yet informal restaurant and wine bar that opened last year in a former pasta factory. Favorites include a breaded poached egg in a delicate Mornay sauce (10 euros), grilled tuna with a yogurt sauce (20 euros) and a roasted suckling pig with sugar-coated figs and blanched French beans (18 euros).
Very nice and clean apartment in San Lorenzo. Eva is a very obliging person.
we had nice time at Eva's home.
We hardly spent hours there (only sleep) since our plan in Rome was to discover it:).
The house was lovely, especially the inside yard with all the plants and flowers. Our separate room with its own bathroom was nice, clean and spacious, it absolutely met our expectations.
Eva's place was not in a centre but with public transportation all the attractions were easily reached. The stops - of all the buses and trams leading you to the centre - were couple of minutes away from the place. WE had no problems getting home even in the late hours.
Eva was accommodating and easy-going (of course in a good way).
She gave us all the information (maps and directions) when we needed.
Highly recommended her and her home! Anita&Zoltán;Budapest
Staying at Eva was a great pleasure. She is an excellent host and made us feel comfortable the whole stay.
Eva's apartment is located near a very great area with lots of good restaurants (Eva can give you a nice overview of the restaurants).
The double room is nice and clean and gives you enough space. It has some fine pictures on the wall and the 'yacht cabin'-feeling is fun.
We definitely recommend staying at Eva's place!
Eva's room was quite nice. Very private with its own bathroom and sitting area. It's in a neighbourhood a little-out-of-the way from sights, but great for seeing actual life in Rome. We didn't see Eva much, but everything was went smoothly, the room was clean and comfortable and we had a good stay.
I really enjoyed staying in this room, it's clean, spacious and the private bathroom is so cute! The location is great, in the heart of San Lorenzo. Eva was a wonderful host, highly recommended. Just book it! :-P
I had a very short stay at Eva's place. The room was exactly as described. Note that the closet you see in one of photos above is not available-there are stuffs inside and trash bin is not provided unless requested. The location was quite good. I had only 4-5 hours for sightseeing and I could easily walk to most of famous attractions such as Colosseo, La Bocca della Verità, and Fontana Di Trevi. There are one big grocery store nearby (but note that you cannot use kitchen as mentioned by the host above) and a good restaurant called "Soul Kitchen" just in front of the house-it has a nice buffet menu.
Eva is a very nice and intelligent person. The apartment was very clean, and the overall atmosphere was very comfortable. The room I was staying in made me feel like I was in my own separate apartment, due to the bed being on a separate floor, the private bathroom (which was a plus), and the study area (which also was a plus, since I need study/work space). The area seemed safe, and transportation is literally down the block. I highly recommend Eva's B&B.
