Our retreat is located a quick 10 minute drive from San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge (GGB). This historical vacation destination for escaping “city life” has become the chosen land. The journey across the GGB itself is memorable. Views of SF Bay, the Pacific Ocean and rugged coast line are lovely. And they are ever changing with the tides, winds, fog, sunshine & shadows of the iconic towers.

San Francisco- via ferry, 10 min drive, or a walk across the golden gate bridge, city life is a few minutes away. World class dining, diverse cultural neighborhoods, historic buildings and sights, the renowned fisherman’s wharf and waterfront Embarcadero walkway, Ghiradelli square, Alcatraz, twin peaks, Chinatown, Victorian painted ladies, shopping in Union Square, cheer on the giants or 49er’s to victory, Lombard street, Golden Gate Park, cable car rides, California Academy of Sciences, Modern Museum of Art, the new Exploratorium, Castro district, and more awaits you… check out the farmer’s market at the ferry building (or the one at Marin civic center), Palace of the Legion of Honor, hike Land’s End trail…. Then...As you cross the GGB into Marin, take in the grand vistas. Explore the Marin Headlands, coastal access, multiple beaches. Watch for wildlife. Walk the majestic redwood forests, hike to the overlooks of the rugged California coast shoreline, keep and eye out for sealions or the occasional coyote on the trails…. Be sure to stop at the wwII lookouts, missile silos, marine mammal sanctuary. Take a break at the Pelican inn - great for an english brew, game of darts or nice rest with good english pub food.
Additionally you can visit Napa & Sonoma wine country for wine tasting, Monterey Carmel, Yosemite National Park, Lake Tahoe, and the lesser known quaint Mendocino coast with a short drive.

Beautiful Marin Headland Views, hang out on the deck, WIFI, and GGNRA (golden gate national recreational area) at your beckoning.... 2 beaches you can walk to, wonderfully quiet and inspirational setting, 10 minutes to fabulously fun San Francisco's culture, arts and "city" life.
Interaction with Guests
I will look forward to welcoming you into the house and property. Breakfasts and/or other meals can be arranged if desired. Recommendations can be offered as to Best Things to Do and See in the area according to your interests and time. somebody will check in here and there to make sure you have everything you need for a comfortable and fun stay.
Mother Nature is just outside the windows waiting for you to come and play. Deer roam freely through the yard, as do the growing flock of turkeys. listen for owls, watch for hawks, notice all the wildlife and variation of plants and trees. Town, the beaches, Golden Gate Bridge & San Francisco are minutes away, so close to everything!
we are on a hillside... so you’ll want transportation. Shops and restaurants are a few minutes away, as well as easy access to Highway 1 to Muir Beach, Muir woods, Stinson Beach, Marin Headlands with WWII army barracks, missile silo locations, Marin Mammal Sanctuary, Rodeo Beach, and 10 minutes in the other direction to San Francisco and all the world class dining, arts, shopping, culture, more beaches, alcatraz... just to start the list of great things to experience!! or ask! we'll be happy to make Cyndi Recommendations....

And little traffic in between… can’t get any better than that!!
Marin is beautiful! and 10 minutes to San Francisco! Enjoy Mother Nature at her Best during the day, then head to the city for an eventful evening. Have the best of both worlds!

*If anything gets broken/ damaged, please fess up so we can replace it for others to enjoy. If you use the last contents of a container/ bottle, etc, please replenish/ replace with like quality items so it/they will be available to others.
For safety and security reasons,
*IDs/ passports of each person staying on the property are to be provided within 1 week of reservation confirmation. Only these persons are to be on the property. Owner/ Rental Agent must have knowledge of and approve all persons allowed to be on the property.
*Please do not invite other persons into our private home. No additional persons on the property or entertaining.
*There is a refundable security/ damage deposit of $1500 due directly to owner/ rental agent prior to check in. Refund will be processed within 10 days following check out. We usually do a credit card “hold”, where the credit card is verified, but not charged.
* Cancellation Policy- Reservation cancellations more than 60 days in advance of arrival will receive full refund, cancellations up to 60 days prior to arrival will incur a 25% reservation fee, cancellations up to 30 days prior to arrival will incur 50% reservation fee, cancellations up to 14 day prior to arrival will forfeit the full reservation amount.
