Interaction with Guests
I am sociable but also discreet and I will give you all the space you need. I think myself as a good host since I have already put lots of my friends up and I really enjoy having guests. I will be glad to help you with everything you need and give you tips and recommendations for enjoying Athens to the fullest.
Thissio is one of the most historic locations of Athens, only a few hundred meters from Acropolis and surrounded by many archeological sight-seeings. The area is also popular for its cafes and restaurants with view of Acropolis. It's a safe and picturesque place with many quite streets for you to walk enjoying the spirit of the city as well as some great architecture. Cine Thissio, voted as the most enjoyable open theater in the world, is just a five minutes walk away.
The house is in a central place and is easily accessible through metro. There are two metro stations in walking distance, Thissio and Keramikos.
-If you are flying to Athens, you can take the metro from the airport to Monastiraki (45 minutes) and then change to the green line for one more stop till Thissio (10 more minutes).
-Alternatively you can take the bus to Syndagma. You then have to take the metro from Syndagma to Monastiraki (one stop) and then change to the green line for one more stop from Monastiraki to Thissio. That takes a little longer but it's also a little cheaper.
-If you are coming from Piraeus port, you can take the green metro line directly to Thissio -it's only six stops and about 15-20 minutes away.
Other Things to Note
I have an extra mobile device with a local number available for my guests to make communication easier. You can use just the SIM card or the whole device as it is.
- Please do not disturb the neighbors. Try to be quiet when in the common stair space and the balcony, especially in the afternoon (2.30 to 5.30 pm are officially "quiet times") and late night hours (11pm to 8am)
-Do no throw papers into the toilet because it may clog.
-Leave the kitchen clean and neat after using it
A great and memorable stay.
The location is perfect for the must-see landmarks and the popular hang-out areas (10-15 minutes of a pleasant stroll to the ancient sites or to the lively Monastiriaki) as well as for experiencing the other attraction we coveted - a local side of Athens in a very charming district.
The apartment is very spacious and comfy. Best of all, Theodora was a lovely warmhearted person. As a host, she went beyond her duties to help us with our needs!

About the Host, Theodora
My name is Theodora and I live in Athens.
I love reading (particularly fantasy and science fiction as well as historic novels), watching TV series (Arrested Development and Community are top for me) and dancing (mainly tango).
I travel as often as I can and my favorite countries are Turkey and Israel -Middle East fascinates me.
I love meeting people from different countries and get to know their special culture -having studied Social Anthropology certainly helps that ;)
Thissio is named after this temple which is also known as Theseion. Its a well-preserved temple inside Athens Agora unlike imposing Parthenon, it feels more approachable, almost inviting.Athens 105 58
Technopolis used to be a gas factory and has now been transformed into a cultural center for concerts, exhibitions and other events. It is surrounded by the most hip bars for your night out118 54
Acropolis, the emblem of Athens, is not only an architectural wonder of great historical significance but it also offers the most spectacular view of Athens.Θεωρίας Athens Attica 10558
A very touristic yet picturesque area with a very unique color. With its little alleys and traditional taverns it feels a little like being on a Greek island.Athens Attica 117 42
