Janet's b&b was perfect for our first night in Greece after we came into Athens airport in the evening and had to fly off in the morning again to our final destination. Her husband picked us up from the airport and dropped us off again in the morning, making it an incredibly convenient stopover. Room was comfortable with a lovely balcony to enjoy the late night warmth overlooking their garden. Breakfast in the garden was delicious. Thanks for a great stay Janet!

We wanted a place close to the airport where we could get a good night's sleep before heading back to the states after 2 weeks of travel. This place was perfect. It is quiet, although there were many bees and mosquitos, comfortable and welcoming. Janet also provided us with a wonderful breakfast before we left for our flight. I wouldn't recommend staying here for your entire stay in the Athens area, but it is perfect for a day or two. There is also a very large pool that was inviting, but we were too tired from our travels to swim. Overall it was exactly what we were looking for and would stay here again if we were ever in the area for a night or two.

Janet was out of town when we arrived but her sweet daughter Elizabeth took very good care of us. Our flight ended up being a day later then we thought and she told us not to worry as we were welcome to stay another night. We were jet-lagged so we spent most of the day in bed but walked to the nearby town for lunch at an EXCELLANT local restaurant-a must if you stay here! If we ever make it back to Greece, this will definitely be a place we come stay at again!!!

Janet was most accommodating.. we called the night prior as we realized we probably wouldn't get to her place until 11:00 p.m.at least, and she said not to worry.. sure enough she was there to greet us and get us settled in. The lavender room was lovely and we got a great nights' sleep! Next morning we enjoyed breakfast out in the garden.. terrific! Janet's place is conveniently close to the airport, the place is great, and Janet is a lovely hostess!

Nice, clean accommodations for a quick stay outside of Athens. St. Thomas is great if you want a relaxing stay near the airport (not if you want to be in the city center). Janet and her husband were very welcoming and she even provided us a transfer to and from the airport (for a fee) which was convenient due to the strike.

Janet met us at the airport and made us feel at home in her comfortable B&B. Our every need was exceeded and the swimming pool was refreshing after a very long day of travel.

I thoroughly enjoyed my night at this lovely oasis. From the street, you'd never imagine the garden and pool out back. After a long day of driving from Lefkada, Janet was kind enough to pick me up at the airport rental car drop off. When I arrived at the B&B, Janet's husband was out by the pool, chatting with a couple that was also staying there. They introduced me to everyone and really made me feel at home. My room had two twin beds, which is fine because it was just me - and I was pleasantly surprised to find A/C that worked very well! I had my own bathroom and balcony overlooking the pool and garden. I enjoyed being able to socialize with Janet, her husband, and other guests with drinks around the pool in the evening but without feeling pressure to do so. The next morning, I had fresh fruit, yoghurt with honey, and cereal that was all very healthy and delicious. Janet, again, was kind enough to drive me to the airport. I can't say enough good things and I would highly recommend St. Thomas to anyone looking for a relaxing place to stay near Athens, the airport, Rafina, etc.

Hello everybody, my name is Janet, born and brought up in the north east of England and I came to Greece to satisfy my appetite for travel and foreign countries. Sadly that was 35 years ago and since then have only travelled between Athens and Newcastle upon Tyne! Although in the meantime I did marry a wonderful Greek man and had two amazing children (girl & boy 26 & 24 now).
I recently turned the tables at last and went for a few days to Rome with my daughter and had a great time being a tourist instead of hosting tourists!
I absolutely love meeting people from all corners of the world and making them feel welcome, like long lost friends or relatives, into our home. This started as my own personal passion but it has infected my husband too who enjoys this way of life just as much as myself now!
My ambition is to travel all over the world accepting all those great invitations we have received from the wonderful people who have passed through our home. Ahhh.... one of these days!!
Don't get much time for reading these days but love to get buried in a great book, would love to see as many musicals, plays, live concerts as humanly possible (but don't get much chance) and love Indian food ! Of course Greek food is amazing too !!
My motto in life is to smile, smile, smile - no matter what obstacle is put in your path! This precious life we have is not a dress rehearsal so enjoy it every day!
