Enjoy the city of Dublin in a house located just 10 minutes of the city centre.
Sleeps up to six adults, has a kids room.
The house sleeps 6 people in total, divided over two bed rooms and a sofa bed in the main living room.
The house has a large luxury open kitchen, dining and living room with all amenities you can think of.
On the ground floor: A master bedroom with a king size double bed, a large bathroom (with a Malaysian power shower) and a launderette where you will find the washing machine, dryer etc.
The master living room has a sofa bed which can hold another two sleepers additionally.
A second bathroom with Jacuzzi and 2nd bedroom which would normally be in use by our son, but if you have a kid (or want to have 6 sleepers instead of 4), we are more than willing to let you use this room during your stay.
Our house is slightly hidden from the main road, and secured by an (automatic) gate, and has private parking space available. Wireless broadband, Satellite TV, Dishwasher, Dryer, Washing machine, you name it, it's there for you and your friends to enjoy. (See the full list further down!).
With a bus stop going into town directly in front of the door, our house is the way to spend your time in Dublin!
Interaction with Guests
We only rent the house out when we're gone, so you won't see us there at all. Our neighbours will hand you the key and show you the house upon arrival.
Sandymount has a couple of local bars, some restaurants and of course some supermarkets and your local chipper.
The beach front is right in front of the door, and is great for getting some fresh air or exercise.
There is a bus stop right in front of the door, which will bring you straight into town, or walk for 8 minutes to go to the DART train station which can take you all along the coast of Dublin to Bray, or up to Howth.
Don't break things, and please... don't hide the forks and knives! (Also, we like our goodies, so please treat everything with respect and don't take anything home with you..
We had a great time on this year's(2014) Saint Patricks day. The house is in a great location by the sea which allowed us to relax and recover! It had everything we needed, including beer!
Emma and Chris maintain an amazing home, in the best suburb of Dublin, within shouting distance of the city but far enough away to feel like you're truly in Ireland. The house was a real pleasure to stay in, with all amenities (and a fridge with a sampling of Irish beers!) well exceeding expectations. The hosts gave excellent recommendations for things to do and see in Dublin and Sandymount (the great town within walking distance) and made sure we had everything we needed before they headed off into the countryside for the weekend. 5 stars.
We're a (freshly!) married couple, both hard working (as you do!), Emma runs a marketing company, and Chris (me) works in cloud computing. We enjoy life, enjoy honest and interesting people from all over the world, and believe in karma.
