Great location to spend time with family and friends in Chicago. One of the most notable and desirable neighborhoods, Lakeview. Just a short walk to Wrigley Field and nestled between the 24/7 Red and Brown line train Addison "EL" stops makes this an ideal location to call home base when visiting the city and local attractions.

The speedy train will have you to the steps of all area sites within minutes; such as Magnificient Mile for the shoppers, Museum Campus for those who wish to explore the Shedd Aquarium, Field and Science and Planetarium. Or if your wish is to wander Navy Pier or take in the beauty of Lake Shore Drive and the miles of lakefront bike paths, this is it.

Our clean, safe home is nestled conveniently between the 24/7 Red line and Brown line Addison train stops. The #9 (North and South) and the #152 (East and West) bus stops are at each end of our block.

Wrigley Field is just a short walk from our home and baseball fans enjoy free parking as our guest for game nites.

After dark when the "Loop" and downtown sites are desolate, enjoy the uniqueness of one of the best North side neighborhoods, Lakeview. Experience great restaurants, a plethora of bars, shop at our local stores all within walking distance at nearby Lincoln Avenue and Wrigleyville. Just 2 blocks away, check out the up and coming Southport Corridor and Music Box Theater.

Share this convenient space with fellow travelers like yourself. Enjoy a wonderful breakfast to get your day started while hearing about other guests journeys. Wind down at the end of a long day of site seeing on one of 3 outdoor decks. Learn about where fellow travelers are from and where they are headed. Enjoy impromptu s'mores in the fire pit or a glass of wine with other guests and hosts.

This is an incredibly spacious place for a city dwelling! Great eat in kitchen, wonderful gas burning fireplace for those cold chilly evenings and enormous decks to enjoy the fresh air and sun as well as an amazing view of the city Skyline.

We've got it all! Whole Foods, Trader Joe's and Jewel Osco are just a couple of blocks. We provide Wifi, cable TV, parking, etc. We love hosting out of town guests and ensuring they have a great experience. We realize you are either on vacation or here for business and want you to feel right at home. Whatever we can do to make this a memorable trip, please let us know.

The Bean, Millenium Park, Grant Park, Soldier Field, Navy Pier, Lincoln Park and the free Zoo all easy trips as are neighborhoods like Old Town for a visit to Second City, great restaurants and nightlife or trendy Bucktown and Wicker Park for shopping or food tours. Nearby DePaul and Loyola make this a great stay for parent visits or temporary housing for college students. Interested in historic architecture? Or is your passion food?

Sleep peacefully-we are close enough to the "EL" for convenience but far enough that it is a distant if unnoticeable sound. Rest soundly in a comfy raised air mattresses for the single traveler in a shared space or if traveling with a friend we can make it two!

Great way to "live like a local" while exploring the city.

Be our guests! Be our guests! Be our guests:)

  • My stay with Cris and Stephanie was an exceptional experience.

I had lived in downtown Chicago for over 20 years and needed a place to stay short-term before heading to the west coast. After reviewing numerous properties, I selected theirs based upon
quality of accommodations, location, reputation, and cost. They delivered with high marks in each of these critical lodging areas.

The private room was modern, neat and extremely comfortable.
Their location is within a quaint, quiet and safe neighborhood that is just a short walk to swift subway trains that wisk you downtown in a mere 20 minutes.

I opted instead to explore the neighborhood nightlife which is a brief stroll to the east and south. You are immersed within a diverse nightlife and dining area. Authenic culinary adventures await with a vast variety of flavors that span the globe. Lively and friendly bars beckon you with friendly crowds, lively music and a wide assortment of craft beers and wine.

One of the most impressive parts of my stay was the other guests. There were individuals, couples and groups from all over the country as well as the world. High quality individuals that would share their day's adventures over coffee or tea at the island table in the kitchen.

Finally, I must comment about the hosts. They are warm, friendly and helpful. They genuinely like hosting travelers and provide you with ample privacy and respect during your stay.

Overall, the quality of my stay exceeded all expectations and even my unusually high standards.

    Response from Chris And Stephanie:

Howard was a pleasure to have in our home for so very many reasons but most of all I have to say I greatly appreciated the insight of his experiences of living downtown that he shared with us. Chris and I lived in 4 different neighborhoods in this city before choosing this one as our home. A little part of me wanted to live downtown but having Howard rave about how much more we have at our finger tips in shopping, restaurants, bars, theater and live music venues along with how safe it is in comparison to the "loop" just reiterates that I am not missing a thing:) Thanks so much for being our guest Howard. We have been given many wonderful gifts by spending time with you.

  • Stephanie is defintely the perfect host: very kind, very friendly, very (email hidden)rfect! I spent 3 nights in the private room and it really felt like home. The house is pretty big and quiet, nicely furnished and absolutely clean. Very green, cozy and residential neighbourhood, just steps away from the brown line subway station and some of Chicago's best bars & clubs!

  • Our time in Chigago was awesome!
We had a whole apartment to ourselves (thanks to Sandy) and it was the perfect spot to start our daily trips.
Public transportation is easily accessible, a ride into the city center doesn't need to long. It's a quiet area, but if you walk some blocks towards Wrighley Field, you can have bars and clubs as well.
Stephanie and Chris were really nice and very helpful with planning our stay. Thanks again for everything!!!

  • I traveled with a group of 8 college students and a 4 year old to Chicago to cover issues related to Election 2012. Cris & Stephanie were wonderful hosts and went above and beyond for our group. I cannot say enough about the hosts or their home. They had coffee and breakfast treats awaiting us each morning and made room in the fridge each night for the students' leftovers from dinner. It was located in a quiet neighborhood and was within a couple of blocks of CTA. I recommend this b&b for anyone passing through Chicago and needing a comfortable, safe, and centrally located accommodations.

  • Chris was a great host (Stephanie was away). He picked me up from the CTA blue line stop as soon as I arrived and offered plenty of advice and suggestions which were most appreciated. We were a group of 4 that had one large room and we made use of the shared space (kitchen, living room, etc). Great location near wrigleyville and very accommodating hosts.

  • Cris and Stephanie are so caring and responsible. The place is clean and fully equipped. I will definitely come back and stay with them next time.

    October 2012
  • The apartment is fairly huge and really clean. We were ten of us for a week-end and we really enjoy this place. It's close to the subway station (5-10min by walk). More precisely, the living room is large enough to welcome at least ten people. The kitchen is well designed with everything needed for a Week-End. The two rooms are not really big but comfortable. A outside space is place for smokers.
The neighborhood is cute and quite.
Chris and Stephanie are very friendly. We had got in touch for a week before our arrival and they had given us all information we needed. They welcome all of on the Friday night.

  • Cris and Stephanie have a wonderful place. I scored Cubs tickets and wanted to stay in Wrigleyville. I had about a ten minute walk from their front steps to the stadium! They accepted my request quickly (pretty short notice)and their communication was great throughout the stay. Cris even helped me park and provided me with a parking pass (I am still parallel-parking-challenged in tight spaces, especially on the left side, haha).

Their bagel and jam provisions were great and the washer/ dryer usage was a major plus. I was able to wash the shirt I really wanted to wear for an interview I had an hour after check-out. The place was pretty quiet and clean. I will definitely suggest this place to friends traveling from the suburbs to home games.

    September 2012
  • The home was very clean and the location was great for hitting all of the areas we wanted to during our stay. We rented what we thought was a private apartment with a balcony. You could only access the balcony by walking downstairs and out the kitchen. A bit misleading. This is a ROOM rental. Make sure that you read ALL of the rules and fine print before renting. We had an 8 person reservation and we had 1 extra person and it was a HUGE ordeal. And we paid extra for that person to stay. They also have a dog so if you are allergic to dogs like one of the girls in our party, please be sure to ask that question as it was not disclosed.

Hello Fellow Traveler! We welcome you to our Airbnb listing and appreciate that you wish to learn more about us as your potential hosts. We enjoy meeting new people and look forward to sharing with you what we love about Chicago:) Why have we opened our home? We arrived about 3 summers ago for a 3 day business trip, fell in love with Chicago and never left. This is our 3rd summer! Since we are both adventurous spirits, with some trepidation, we tried this thing called "AirBNB". We had such a great experience because of our host; we thought we would pay it forward. What has been our favorite experience hosting so far? Lollapalooza:) Who are we? Chris and I met in High School and reconnected on the site that begins with Face and ends with Book a couple of years ago. We think we have quite the love story that resulted in a proposal a few years back and would be happy to share it with you on one of your relaxing evenings on our deck or over a cup coffee while you are sorting out your travels for the day-but we promise not to bore you with it! What are we doing here? After we reunited, we had the amazing opportunity to become Environmental Stewards for a wonderful company that brought us to Chicago. One of our company's core values is to stimulate the local economy, find other Environmental Stewards like ourselves and train them for leadership roles. (Another great story if you are out of sorts from your trip and can't sleep one nite-and of course care to hear it:) ) What we think about ourselves as hosts? We pride ourselves in being open and available hosts for a chat, a recommendation, throwing darts, a game of scrabble or an impromptu cook out or s'mores on the fire pit but we also completely respect your privacy and understand this is your trip. We only wish to ensure your travels are more than you would have hoped for thru spending time at our home and meeting other guests. Where have we been? Chris is an Army Brat and has lived all over the States and I have traveled around Europe while living in Madrid, Spain for 3 years. Places Chris has lived: He spent his youth in San Antonio, Hawaii, Denver, Colorado Springs and Maryland (the DC area). As an adult, he lived in Kansas City for a bit, he settled for many years in Norman, Oklahoma (if you've heard of it), Dallas/Ft. Worth, back to Maryland (to get me;)) and now Chicago. Places Chris has traveled to: Boston and other parts of Massachusetts in which he has tons of family and for our business, all over New Jersey (our company has a HUGE presence there and helped tremendously with the Hurricane Sandy clean up), many parts of PA (we really enjoyed our time in Pittsburgh), Philly a few times (best sandwiches we have found yet!) and many more. Stephanie lived most of her life in the Maryland area traveling for work in the DC and Virginia areas but joining her friends on their business trips in the States to visit as many cities as possible. Of course, the fun-damentals like Las Vegas, Miami Beach (along with many other Florida cities that my family lives such as Ft. Lauderdale, Deerfield Beach, Jacksonville) and NYC. More relaxing fun in Savannah, GA; Myrtle Beach, SC (where my mom has retired), Portland, OR, Phoenix, AZ (where my brother used to live), San Diego and Coronado (a couple of times since they are some of my favorite), Hawaii (to see the first grandchild in our family), L.A. (had the opportunity to cruise Monterey's 17 mile drive)... Stephanie's European Travels: Of course many of the big cities like Paris (the food!), Munich (best airport ever!), Frankfurt, Barcelona, Valencia, Sevilla, Malaga, Bilbao, Gothenburg, Sweden (for a dear friends wedding), but also some off of the beaten path that became my very favorite memories like Morocco, Tunisia and more.... Places we will go: Brazil, Fiji, South America, Canada....
