Great location to spend time with family and friends in Chicago. One of the most notable and desirable neighborhoods, Lakeview. Just a short walk to Wrigley Field and nestled between the 24/7 Red and Brown line train Addison "EL" stops makes this an ideal location to call home base when visiting the city and local attractions.
The speedy train will have you to the steps of all area sites within minutes; such as Magnificient Mile for the shoppers, Museum Campus for those who wish to explore the Shedd Aquarium, Field and Science and Planetarium. Or if your wish is to wander Navy Pier or take in the beauty of Lake Shore Drive and the miles of lakefront bike paths, this is it.
Our clean, safe home is nestled conveniently between the 24/7 Red line and Brown line Addison train stops. The #9 (North and South) and the #152 (East and West) bus stops are at each end of our block.
Wrigley Field is just a short walk from our home and baseball fans enjoy free parking as our guest for game nites.
After dark when the "Loop" and downtown sites are desolate, enjoy the uniqueness of one of the best North side neighborhoods, Lakeview. Experience great restaurants, a plethora of bars, shop at our local stores all within walking distance at nearby Lincoln Avenue and Wrigleyville. Just 2 blocks away, check out the up and coming Southport Corridor and Music Box Theater.
Share this convenient space with fellow travelers like yourself. Enjoy a wonderful breakfast to get your day started while hearing about other guests journeys. Wind down at the end of a long day of site seeing on one of 3 outdoor decks. Learn about where fellow travelers are from and where they are headed. Enjoy impromptu s'mores in the fire pit or a glass of wine with other guests and hosts.
This is an incredibly spacious place for a city dwelling! Great eat in kitchen, wonderful gas burning fireplace for those cold chilly evenings and enormous decks to enjoy the fresh air and sun as well as an amazing view of the city Skyline.
We've got it all! Whole Foods, Trader Joe's and Jewel Osco are just a couple of blocks. We provide Wifi, cable TV, parking, etc. We love hosting out of town guests and ensuring they have a great experience. We realize you are either on vacation or here for business and want you to feel right at home. Whatever we can do to make this a memorable trip, please let us know.
The Bean, Millenium Park, Grant Park, Soldier Field, Navy Pier, Lincoln Park and the free Zoo all easy trips as are neighborhoods like Old Town for a visit to Second City, great restaurants and nightlife or trendy Bucktown and Wicker Park for shopping or food tours. Nearby DePaul and Loyola make this a great stay for parent visits or temporary housing for college students. Interested in historic architecture? Or is your passion food?
Sleep peacefully-we are close enough to the "EL" for convenience but far enough that it is a distant if unnoticeable sound. Rest soundly in a comfy raised air mattresses for the single traveler in a shared space or if traveling with a friend we can make it two!
Great way to "live like a local" while exploring the city.

Thanks so much for choosing us and our home as your home away from home while visiting or working in Chicago:)
Chris and Stephanie were really nice and hospitable, and obviously quite experienced at hosting travelers. They readily provided information about our stay as well as the attractions and restaurants available in the surrounding area (even pulling out a map). The room you stay in may vary from mine, but they make sure to provide you with all necessary information prior to your stay so that you're well aware of what you're getting. Overall, a great stay.
Chris and Stephanie were very nice people, I enjoyed my brief stay here and would have liked to stay there longer. Their home is very nice and is as described, when I come back to Chicago this will definitely be the place I contact!
Our hosts were very warm and hospitable from the start - they helped us with directions, spots to visit and provided us with a map of the city. Though our room was smaller than expected (we were a pretty big group of 5 to be fair), they had a lovely balcony, the location was ideal (close to lots of amenities, train station and restaurants), safe, and the place was cosy. We also got to meet other airbnbers staying there and socialized. A very pleasant experience! Thank you Chris and Stephanie!
Very nice hosts, always offering to help. Nice, quiet neighborhood. The picture only shows 1 bed. The room actually has a bunk bed, which was unexpected. But overall, I was satisfied.
Yes, Simon is correct but not sure how it was unexpected. We have upgraded a few things that the pictures may not reflect so I am certain to be as descriptive as possible as you can see from our email exchange included here. The pictures actually show a comfy raised queen size air mattress. I do have a habit of enjoying the under promise and over deliver:)
Thanks for the interest in staying at our home for your important trip. The room we have available for the dates and length of stay you have requested is the "Harry Potter" room which now has a real queen size bed with a twin size loft bed above under the stairs without a window. (shown in the first 4 pictures) If all is satisfactory, we are happy to accommodate you." Which was also followed up by another email confirming that Simon was happy with the accommodations prior to accepting his reservation.
We attempt to do everything possible in preparation for our guests to have the trip, stay and vacation they are hoping for. We are always working to improve but I feel the pictures are a good representation and although the air mattresses are very comfortable for a few nites if we are able to provide a real bed vs. air mattress well that's a bonus:)
Another GREAT stay with Chris & Stephanie! This was just a quick one night stay in Chicago, wish I had more time. Can't wait for the next time.

Hello Fellow Traveler!
We welcome you to our Airbnb listing and appreciate that you wish to learn more about us as your potential hosts. We enjoy meeting new people and look forward to sharing with you what we love about Chicago:)
Why have we opened our home?
We arrived about 4 summers ago for a 3 day business trip, fell in love with Chicago and never left. This is our 4th summer! Since we are both adventurous spirits, with some trepidation, we tried this thing called "AirBNB". We had such a great experience because of our host; we thought we would pay it forward.
What has been our favorite experience hosting so far? Lollapalooza:)
Who are we?
Chris and I met in High School and reconnected on the site that begins with Face and ends with Book a couple of years ago. We think we have quite the love story that resulted in a proposal a few years back and would be happy to share it with you on one of your relaxing evenings on our deck or over a cup coffee while you are sorting out your travels for the day-but we promise not to bore you with it!
What are we doing here?
After we reunited, we had the amazing opportunity to become Environmental Stewards for a wonderful company that brought us to Chicago. One of our company's core values is to stimulate the local economy, find other Environmental Stewards like ourselves and train them for leadership roles. (Another great story if you are out of sorts from your trip and can't sleep one nite-and of course care to hear it:) )
What we think about ourselves as hosts?
We pride ourselves in being open and available hosts for a chat, a recommendation, throwing darts, a game of scrabble or an impromptu cook out or s'mores on the fire pit but we also completely respect your privacy and understand this is your trip. We only wish to ensure your travels are more than you would have hoped for thru spending time at our home and meeting other guests.
Where have we been?
Chris is an Army Brat and has lived all over the States and I have traveled around Europe while living in Madrid, Spain for 3 years.
Places Chris has lived:
He spent his youth in San Antonio, Hawaii, Denver, Colorado Springs and Maryland (the DC area). As an adult, he lived in Kansas City for a bit, he settled for many years in Norman, Oklahoma (if you've heard of it), Dallas/Ft. Worth, back to Maryland (to get me;)) and now Chicago.
Places Chris has traveled to:
Boston and other parts of Massachusetts in which he has tons of family and for our business, all over New Jersey (our company has a HUGE presence there and helped tremendously with the Hurricane Sandy clean up), many parts of PA (we really enjoyed our time in Pittsburgh), Philly a few times (best sandwiches we have found yet!) and many more.
Stephanie lived most of her life in the Maryland area traveling for work in the DC and Virginia areas but joining her friends on their business trips in the States to visit as many cities as possible. Of course, the fun-damentals like Las Vegas, Miami Beach (along with many other Florida cities that my family lives such as Ft. Lauderdale, Deerfield Beach, Jacksonville) and NYC. More relaxing fun in Savannah, GA; Myrtle Beach, SC (where my mom has retired), Portland, OR, Phoenix, AZ (where my brother used to live), San Diego and Coronado (a couple of times since they are some of my favorite), Hawaii (to see the first grandchild in our family), L.A. (had the opportunity to cruise Monterey's 17 mile drive)...
Stephanie's European Travels: Of course many of the big cities like Paris (the food!), Munich (best airport ever!), Frankfurt, Barcelona, Valencia, Sevilla, Malaga, Bilbao, Gothenburg, Sweden (for a dear friends wedding), but also some off of the beaten path that became my very favorite memories like Morocco, Tunisia and more....
Places we will go: Brazil, Fiji, South America, Canada....
Our recent travels together: We recently finished an extended road trip and stayed at several Airbnb homes. Our travels took us first to Chris' families in Norman, Oklahoma onto Albuquerque; from there to Phoenix to our ultimate destination-San Felipe, Mexico where we booked 3 different homes one of which was exceptional. We included some side excursions to Coronado, California, Ensenada and Rosarito, Mexico where we stayed in an AMAZING home and had some fantastic food. On our return, we were fortunate enough to also stay in a Villa with OUTSTANDING views in Sedona, California.
