Great location to spend time with family and friends in Chicago. One of the most notable and desirable neighborhoods, Lakeview. Just a short walk to Wrigley Field and nestled between the 24/7 Red and Brown line train Addison "EL" stops makes this an ideal location to call home base when visiting the city and local attractions.

The speedy train will have you to the steps of all area sites within minutes; such as Magnificient Mile for the shoppers, Museum Campus for those who wish to explore the Shedd Aquarium, Field and Science and Planetarium. Or if your wish is to wander Navy Pier or take in the beauty of Lake Shore Drive and the miles of lakefront bike paths, this is it.

Our clean, safe home is nestled conveniently between the 24/7 Red line and Brown line Addison train stops. The #9 (North and South) and the #152 (East and West) bus stops are at each end of our block.

Wrigley Field is just a short walk from our home and baseball fans enjoy free parking as our guest for game nites.

After dark when the "Loop" and downtown sites are desolate, enjoy the uniqueness of one of the best North side neighborhoods, Lakeview. Experience great restaurants, a plethora of bars, shop at our local stores all within walking distance at nearby Lincoln Avenue and Wrigleyville. Just 2 blocks away, check out the up and coming Southport Corridor and Music Box Theater.

Share this convenient space with fellow travelers like yourself. Enjoy a wonderful breakfast to get your day started while hearing about other guests journeys. Wind down at the end of a long day of site seeing on one of 3 outdoor decks. Learn about where fellow travelers are from and where they are headed. Enjoy impromptu s'mores in the fire pit or a glass of wine with other guests and hosts.

This is an incredibly spacious place for a city dwelling! Great eat in kitchen, wonderful gas burning fireplace for those cold chilly evenings and enormous decks to enjoy the fresh air and sun as well as an amazing view of the city Skyline.

We've got it all! Whole Foods, Trader Joe's and Jewel Osco are just a couple of blocks. We provide Wifi, cable TV, parking, etc. We love hosting out of town guests and ensuring they have a great experience. We realize you are either on vacation or here for business and want you to feel right at home. Whatever we can do to make this a memorable trip, please let us know.

The Bean, Millenium Park, Grant Park, Soldier Field, Navy Pier, Lincoln Park and the free Zoo all easy trips as are neighborhoods like Old Town for a visit to Second City, great restaurants and nightlife or trendy Bucktown and Wicker Park for shopping or food tours. Nearby DePaul and Loyola make this a great stay for parent visits or temporary housing for college students. Interested in historic architecture? Or is your passion food?

Sleep peacefully-we are close enough to the "EL" for convenience but far enough that it is a distant if unnoticeable sound. Rest soundly in a comfy raised air mattresses for the single traveler in a shared space or if traveling with a friend we can make it two!

Great way to "live like a local" while exploring the city.

Be our guests! Be our guests! Be our guests:)

*Smoking is permitted on the rear deck only!!

**Parking-this neighborhood has free non permitted parking which is relatively available except during Cubs games. We provide free parking passes for our guests on game nites. If you would like an in and out covered parking space, we do have one available for $25 per day which is a reasonable price for this City. The parking for hotels is anywhere between $25 to $50 per day minimally.

  • As the name says this is a great place to stay. It is in a safe and very pretty neighborhood. Plus Chris and Stephanie couldn't be nicer. I hope to visit again later in the year.

  • This was my first Airbnb experience and it was a great one. Chris and Stephanie are very gracious hosts. There place was very clean and they were kind enough to provide some tasty bagels. I would definitely stay here again!

    August 2013
  • I stayed with Chris and Stephanie's house for three days. It is located in a good neighborhood with restaurants, shops and public transport within walking distance.
Upon arrival I was not exactly thrilled to find out my room was in in the basement. There were two guests sleeping in the living room and I had to pass them to get to my room and leave the house. Things were fairly clean, but the atmosphere in the basement doesn't make you want to stay any longer than necessary. That is why I was only at home to sleep and hardly met the hosts. I can only say that they replied to my messages fairly quickly and were kind enough to let me keep the keys on my day of departure until I had to head to the airport in the afternoon.

  • Located on a quiet street with plenty of parking available, yet you don't have to walk far for a Cubs game or Wrigleyville fun! Chris was very nice and accommodating. Ask him about his beef jerky, you won't be disappointed: ) Great place for larger groups and for couples if you're fortunate enough to get the private room, witch we did!

    Response from Chris And Stephanie:

Thanks Joel for pointing out how conveniently located we are but we want to keep the parking a secret;) Now, Chris' beef jerky-yes, tell the world! Our private rooms all have real beds and are great for couples. If you are traveling as a family or large group, the rooms are so big we can even comfortably fit comfy raised queen or twin air mattresses:)

  • Chris and Stephanie were great hosts and helped make our stay in Chicago very comfortable! Tons of bagels, jams, and other treats for breakfast. Shampoos and soaps provided in the bathroom. The house itself was clean and comfortable - not to mention less than a 15 min walk from Wrigley Field. We were close to the brown and red 'L' trains and tons of bars and restaurants. The neighborhood was fun, and our hosts made us feel like we were at home. Would definitely stay with them again! :)

  • Probably the nicest house I have been in in all of Chicago in a great neighborhood that's still walking distance from everything. Chris and Stephanie are two of the nicest people you will meet. Cannot recommend this place highly enough.

  • Excellent location! Kind and friendly hosts.

  • My stay at Chris & Stephanie was FANTASTIC. they are really kind and welcoming people. Staying at there place made me feel at home especially after my first Airbnb experience I had in Chicago. The place is SUPER clean and I had lots of privacy and they were very good conversationalists though I just stayed there for 2 days. I really was feeling not good from my first Airbnb experience but those guys turned the table for me and made me feel great and at home. They even replied as soon as possible and agreed to host me without (email hidden)so the place is exactly as described and as it appears in the photos. You will wake up feeling at home with the good coffee and bagels they have for there guests :). I would definitely recommend there place to anyone coming to Chicago and I will make sure that I don't stay anywhere else except at Chris & Stephanie's next time I'm back in Chicago. And guys I can't thank you enough =).

    Regards, Ali

    Response from Chris And Stephanie:

We are really glad that we helped Ali have a memorable Airbnb stay in our safe neighborhood and home for his last few days in Chicago. I am always amazed when a first stay goes awry and folks are willing to try Airbnb again-then I remember how expensive a hotel is here (if you can find one) or the non existent short term housing options we experienced when first arriving:) As far as our home being SUPER clean, ahhh the pressure;) It is tough living in the city and the dust is never ending but we are a clean as you go kinda couple. We do heavy duty cleaning once to twice a week or more if needed, normally just before guests arrival and after their departure. Thanks again, Ali!

  • Awesome time at Chris & Stephanie´s. Really cozy, clean and in general great place to stay. Chris & Stephanie take care of you, helping you to enjoy as much as possible your time in Chicago with a bunch of usefull tips, and info about the city. Moreover, safe and nice neighborhood, parking available, and close to party area and good breakfast by the way :)
    Definitely recomended!

    Response from Chris And Stephanie:

We are in the midst of a 2nd stay with Clara and a dear friend of hers who also traveled from Madrid! We have enjoyed meeting him almost as much as her immediate family whom she visited with on her first stay. She even tried to have 2 more friends stay but we just didn't have a single space left:( It is so pleasant to hear the language spoken and realize I still understand what is being said:) We were fortunate to spend a little more time getting to know Clara this trip and we can't wait to see who she returns with next:)

  • My stay with Chris and Stephanie was my very first experience with airbnb.com. I really enjoyed my stay there. They were both very welcoming and made me a fan of airbnb.com. I will use it again because my experience with them was just what I expected and more. I was very pleased to find that my room was perfect. I had everything I needed. There was even a blow dryer in my room which I was so happy about because I didn't bring one. I didn't need to ask for anything because everything I needed was there in my room. The bed was very comfortable. Everyone was so friendly and nice. It you are a smoker, the deck is right outside the bedroom door and you can go out for fresh air and a smoke. There was even coffee ready in the morning when I woke up. My daily routine was not disturbed even though I was in a different city, which is very important to me. They made me feel like I was at home. Thank you Chris and Stephanie!

About
Hello Fellow Traveler! We welcome you to our Airbnb listing and appreciate that you wish to learn more about us as your potential hosts. We enjoy meeting new people and look forward to sharing with you what we love about Chicago:) Why have we opened our home? We arrived about 3 summers ago for a 3 day business trip, fell in love with Chicago and never left. This is our 3rd summer! Since we are both adventurous spirits, with some trepidation, we tried this thing called "AirBNB". We had such a great experience because of our host; we thought we would pay it forward. What has been our favorite experience hosting so far? Lollapalooza:) Who are we? Chris and I met in High School and reconnected on the site that begins with Face and ends with Book a couple of years ago. We think we have quite the love story that resulted in a proposal a few years back and would be happy to share it with you on one of your relaxing evenings on our deck or over a cup coffee while you are sorting out your travels for the day-but we promise not to bore you with it! What are we doing here? After we reunited, we had the amazing opportunity to become Environmental Stewards for a wonderful company that brought us to Chicago. One of our company's core values is to stimulate the local economy, find other Environmental Stewards like ourselves and train them for leadership roles. (Another great story if you are out of sorts from your trip and can't sleep one nite-and of course care to hear it:) ) What we think about ourselves as hosts? We pride ourselves in being open and available hosts for a chat, a recommendation, throwing darts, a game of scrabble or an impromptu cook out or s'mores on the fire pit but we also completely respect your privacy and understand this is your trip. We only wish to ensure your travels are more than you would have hoped for thru spending time at our home and meeting other guests. Where have we been? Chris is an Army Brat and has lived all over the States and I have traveled around Europe while living in Madrid, Spain for 3 years. Places Chris has lived: He spent his youth in San Antonio, Hawaii, Denver, Colorado Springs and Maryland (the DC area). As an adult, he lived in Kansas City for a bit, he settled for many years in Norman, Oklahoma (if you've heard of it), Dallas/Ft. Worth, back to Maryland (to get me;)) and now Chicago. Places Chris has traveled to: Boston and other parts of Massachusetts in which he has tons of family and for our business, all over New Jersey (our company has a HUGE presence there and helped tremendously with the Hurricane Sandy clean up), many parts of PA (we really enjoyed our time in Pittsburgh), Philly a few times (best sandwiches we have found yet!) and many more. Stephanie lived most of her life in the Maryland area traveling for work in the DC and Virginia areas but joining her friends on their business trips in the States to visit as many cities as possible. Of course, the fun-damentals like Las Vegas, Miami Beach (along with many other Florida cities that my family lives such as Ft. Lauderdale, Deerfield Beach, Jacksonville) and NYC. More relaxing fun in Savannah, GA; Myrtle Beach, SC (where my mom has retired), Portland, OR, Phoenix, AZ (where my brother used to live), San Diego and Coronado (a couple of times since they are some of my favorite), Hawaii (to see the first grandchild in our family), L.A. (had the opportunity to cruise Monterey's 17 mile drive)... Stephanie's European Travels: Of course many of the big cities like Paris (the food!), Munich (best airport ever!), Frankfurt, Barcelona, Valencia, Sevilla, Malaga, Bilbao, Gothenburg, Sweden (for a dear friends wedding), but also some off of the beaten path that became my very favorite memories like Morocco, Tunisia and more.... Places we will go: Brazil, Fiji, South America, Canada....
