The place doesn't quite look as nice as the photos but still an excellent location and service. Four of us stayed and it had everything we needed for going out and just hanging out at the flat. Erika is extremely helpful and accommodating! Would definitely stay again.
We really enjoyed staying at Tanya and Erika's apartment in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. This was an excellent experience. The house was perfect (calm, clean, cozy, safe...) and the location is ideal (just a very short walk to the subway / bars and groceries around).
And, top of all, Erika was very prompt with answering messages.
Good choice! It is a great, calm, clean and safe place to stay in NY with comfy beds and fully equipped kitchen ... You will feel like staying with "Brooklyners" instead of being surrounded by tourists! There are bars, groceries and bagel shops around and the subway only takes 20-30 min to Manhattan ... if you prefer to take a cab at night, it would be around 20 dollars.
This was an excellent experience. The house was perfect and the location could not be better...near two or three subway lines and in the midst of all the Brooklyn action. We recommend Madiba... a great South African bar/restaurant nearby. We highly recommend staying at Tanya and Erika's place.
This was PERFECT for my husband and two-year-old daughter. Spacious, not much for a toddler to get their hands into, and everything was right around the corner. Erika was super responsive and on top of it throughout, continually checking in to see if I needed anything. She also was incredibly understanding when a small situation arose. Would definitely recommend staying here!
We very much enjoyed our stay at Tanya and Erika's apartment. We were two couples and found it to be a great size. The bedrooms are huge! Parking on the street was very easy and we found spots just across from the apartment for 2 cars.
Tanya was very helpful and checked in to make sure everything was going ok.
Pros: Clean, pretty large, and convenient. Good location to get around in Brooklyn and into Manhattan.
Cons: The space could use some updates. It doesn't feel like anyone lives there, so it's not like other Airbnb's I've stayed at that have a comfortable atmosphere.
Erika was very accommodating and accessible to communicate with. The 2br unit was a comfortable place to crash for the week during Brooklyn Beta! She was always quick to message back and we had zero problems with our 3 night stay.
Hey all! We stayed in the apartment for 10 days. I don't want to be to negative here as the location, service, communication and overall experience was top shelf a+++. The hosts are amazing people and very helpful, knowledgeable and extremely HONEST.
We accidentally left our camera out the front after a long day of sightseeing and Joey the cleaner was kind enough to pop it inside for us.
If you're a group of 20 something's with a need for a place to crash, this is perfect! Very close to myrtle and all the action, $15 cab ride to lower manhattan, 10 minute walk to the subway, half hour walk to dumbo which I recommend. The street is quiet and safe, locals are awesome and friendly.
The apartment is quite compact, with not many creature comforts. We encountered many flea bites and fleas unfortunately and there was broken glass in the back yard area which we didn't see until it was in my foot. The air con units are very noisy as well. If there are people coming and going upstairs you will hear every footstep and every conversation very clearly, the ceilings and stair case are paper thin. Also don't walk bare foot from the shower to the upstairs bedrooms as your feet will be dirty again from the stair case.
As I said, we had a great time and the location and service etc was amazing. Just a shame because with a little TLC this place could be amazing! I think it's important to let people know about the small things as it did effect our time here.
It was really nice appartment in typical Bronx house, Tanya housekeeper was kind a helpfull. Its closte to the laundry, grocery, restaurants, subway, etc... Big up !
