Check In
  • Hey, Erika (email hidden) and checked in on us a few times. The place was really good, comfy beds with great ventilation. Just need to grab a bus to jay st subway and you're away.

  • We spent nice two weeks in the 2 BR Duplex-Clinton Hill.
We did not meet Erika but she gave the promt instructions how to get to the apartment etc. The apartment worked well for our family (parents and two teenagers). Erika took care of the WiFi immeadately when it was out of order for awhile (one evening and morning). No other problems.
We liked the neighbourhood which was lively and safe with restaurants, groceries etc. We walked also to Fort Greene: BAM and Barclay Center area which was also very nice and with lots of happenings.
Getting to Manhattan etc. we took G-train and changed to A or C-train in Hoyt Schemerhorn or took bus B54 at Myrtle av. to Jay St. Metro Tech and changed to subway.

  • We were contacted by Erika well in advance of our stay so we never worried that we wouldn't know where to go or that our reservation was intact. Her directions were perfect. She allowed us to drop off our luggage even though we arrived early. She maintained contact during the stay. It was exactly what we expected. If you are unfamiliar with what NYC apartments are like then you may be surprised. We loved the character of the moldings, fireplace, unconventional layout and such. The neighborhood was nice and very convenient to the many food and retail business on Myrtle St.

  • This is a great apartment in a great location, especially if you don't mind walking a little. The neighborhood felt very safe and there are lots of restaurants and bars nearby. I highly recommend checking out Myrtle Comedy at Splitty's Bar every Thursday, which is just down the street. There is a 24/7 laundromat two minutes away and a shippin(website hidden) center 5 minutes away.

The apartment was fully furnished with lots of spare towels, bedding, and air mattresses. Even though there are only two bedrooms, they are very large and the four of us were comfortable during our two-month stay. The apartment also has access to the backyard which has a table and chairs, we enjoyed this immensely on warm days.

The only negative things I have to say are:
-The internet would occasionally go out
-No direct control over the heating/cooling, you have to text Erika to change the temperature
-Not at all soundproof, the bedrooms are actually connected by sliding doors and a thin wall separates the upper level from the apartment upstairs

The nearest subway station is the Clinton Washington G line about a half mile away, which takes about 10 minutes. The G is not the most convenient line, but the A/C and Barclays Center stations are also fairly close.

If you've got a car, street parking is easy to find. We were in New York for work, and traveled with a 17' box truck, so if you have a larger vehicle there's a great parking garage called VS Parking on Washington between Park and Flushing.

Erika was very helpful and easy to get ahold of if we needed anything. Overall we had a fantastic stay and were very reluctant to leave. We will be keeping Erika in mind for all future visits.

  • The place doesn't quite look as nice as the photos but still an excellent location and service. Four of us stayed and it had everything we needed for going out and just hanging out at the flat. Erika is extremely helpful and accommodating! Would definitely stay again.

  • We really enjoyed staying at Tanya and Erika's apartment in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. This was an excellent experience. The house was perfect (calm, clean, cozy, safe...) and the location is ideal (just a very short walk to the subway / bars and groceries around).
And, top of all, Erika was very prompt with answering messages.

  • Good choice! It is a great, calm, clean and safe place to stay in NY with comfy beds and fully equipped kitchen ... You will feel like staying with "Brooklyners" instead of being surrounded by tourists! There are bars, groceries and bagel shops around and the subway only takes 20-30 min to Manhattan ... if you prefer to take a cab at night, it would be around 20 dollars.

  • This was an excellent experience. The house was perfect and the location could not be better...near two or three subway lines and in the midst of all the Brooklyn action. We recommend Madiba... a great South African bar/restaurant nearby. We highly recommend staying at Tanya and Erika's place.

  • This was PERFECT for my husband and two-year-old daughter. Spacious, not much for a toddler to get their hands into, and everything was right around the corner. Erika was super responsive and on top of it throughout, continually checking in to see if I needed anything. She also was incredibly understanding when a small situation arose. Would definitely recommend staying here!

  • We very much enjoyed our stay at Tanya and Erika's apartment. We were two couples and found it to be a great size. The bedrooms are huge! Parking on the street was very easy and we found spots just across from the apartment for 2 cars.
Tanya was very helpful and checked in to make sure everything was going ok.
