The Rose Room is in an old colonial home in the small yet bustling pueblo of Baca. Centrally located behind the old church. 20 minutes to beach, 20 minutes to Mérida, 35 minutes to Mérida Centro and 40 minutes to the airport.

The space
The Rose Room is a private bedroom and sitting area that is located off the main living room. It has a king-size bed that can be converted into 2 single beds. (The Rose Room can be rented with an adjoining bedroom -- see separate listing, "Casa Lunita - 2 adjoining bedrooms")

Guest access
Guests will have access to the living room, portico, dining room, kitchen, garden, pool, and patio. A projector is available for viewing DVDs, limited AppleTV, or connecting to your computer (depending on your computer). Wifi is very dependable.

Baca is a delightful bustling little town, mostly Spanish-speaking with a little English and Maya. The people are friendly and helpful to visitors. Within two blocks you will find a tortillería, a panadería, a platería, a market, a Catholic church, a park, pizza, fresh flowers and fruit juices . . . 4+ cocinas económicas with very tasty fare. There is also a beautiful Thai restaurant right in town. Saturdays and Sundays -- there are freshly made ribs and chicken. Wednesdays and Fridays, there is fresh or fried fish from the ports of Progreso and Telchac Puerto.
