Escape the city, escape the crowds! Have you ever stayed in a yurt? There's nothing like it. Our yurt is on 40 acres of magical high desert land. Frolic through Joshua Trees, catch a gorgeous sunset, see the stars, sleep in the round. You will have access to an epic outdoor shower and sink area and a giant fire pit. You can even see the stars through the roof dome while you lounge in a queen sized Brooklyn Bedding bed! Unplug and enjoy glamping at its best.

The space
Perfect place to stay when visiting Joshua Tree National Park, The Integratron, or any other high desert location. Or just stay on the ranch and enjoy 40 acres all to yourself. Have a campfire, look at stars, soak in the outdoor tub.

Guest access
40 acres of land, an awesome yurt and an indoor/outdoor bathroom and shower area. Fire pit, BBQ, shade structure with lounge chairs.

Other things to note
Unplug! Please note that there is no electricity in the yurt. We provide solar lights and headlamps for you. This is glamping! There is running potable water, a flushable toilet, and a tub and shower. We provide a cooler if you want to store food or beverages and there is a BBQ grill. Our land is only accessible from a short drive on dirt roads but you don’t need a 4x4. When you book we will provide details of the best route to get to the ranch. If you have more than two people staying we have two camping mats available for use. We provide an extra sleeping bag and extra blankets. There are 7 pillows in the yurt.

A note about DOGS: Dogs are welcome on our property but please note DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON ANY TRAILS IN JOSHUA TREE NATIONAL PARK. Dogs may not under any circumstances be left unattended in the yurt or on the property. There are cacti and spiky plants, snakes, bugs etc that may hurt your pup.

Location

Yucca Valley, California, United States

This is rural land. There are some neighbors but they are acres away instead of inches like in the city.

SIGHTS and SOUNDS:

You won't hear horns blaring, traffic, sirens but you may hear packs of coyotes, roosters, other birds, dogs, goats, weird sounding insects...etc. The desert is notorious for carrying sounds so in addition to expecting to hear some of these noises please be mindful of the noise you create because it will carry.

You may see coyotes, foxes, dogs, snakes, scorpions, spiders, mice, squirrels, rabbits, lizards, red ants...etc. Of course they will most likely be running away from you but please be respectful to these animals and keep your distance.

WIND and WEATHER: the desert has high winds blow through pretty regularly. The yurt is built to withstand hurricane force winds so no need to worry however it can be loud at night. We provide earplugs to help with wind noise.

The desert means weather extremes. It can be hot and sunny during the day and super cold at night. It even snowed 6 inches last January! Sadly we cannot (yet) control the weather. Always check the forecast and come prepared. We cannot accommodate cancellations due to weather.
