If you are travelling to Killarney i would highly recommend to go to Ardree House. It is Quiet, good breakfast, excellent location (5 min walk from train station), magnificent view. Breda is very helpful. If you need something just ask her, they are very spontaneous!!! Excellent price/quality.

  • The house is conveniently located. Breakfast was filling and we enjoyed it. Our room was clean and we had a lot of space. The double bed, however, was very uncomfortable. We did not meet John and Norrie.

    Response from John And Norrie:

Sorry we did not get to meet but was away during this time, thank you for the feedback with regards to the bed. Glad you enjoyed your time with us.

  • The Ardree House was well located and very clean but felt like more of a hotel than an Airbnb. We did not meet John or Norrie and it did not have a home like atmosphere. If you are looking for a clean reasonably priced spot near Killarney this is good for you but don't expect any personalized service.

Thank you Joel for the feedback, we are delighted you enjoyed your time with us.

  • We only had one night in Killarney and chose Ardree House for it's great location just off the main town and close to the beautiful national park grounds off Muckross Road.

We missed the sign at first, but once we found it the check in process was smooth and the room was quite comfortable. Ample parking was provided out front. John made us feel welcome and provided us with small items we needed, including an adapter for our electronics and wine glasses for a bottle of wine we picked up at a local market.

The breakfast in the morning was hearty and filling and we had a lovely time chatting with other guests, including a gentleman from London named Peter who stays at Ardree House three times a year because he enjoys the location so much. If I get the chance to return, I wouldn't hesitate to book a stay at Ardree House again.

  • We loved staying at the Andree House! The room was wonderful and the breakfast was delicious with so much to choose from. It is located conveniently to the heart of downtown Killarney. Thanks! We'll see you next time.

  • This is a great place to stay. The bedroom and bathroom were the largest and best of 6 different places I stayed during a tour of Ireland. The owner provided great advice for driving the Ring of Kerry and the breakfast was nice.

I would definitely stay in this location again.

My family are originally from Killarney and have always been in the hospitality industry, including my Great-Grandfather who originally ran a pub and my father who opened a hotel in the town of Killarney I also dabbled in the building trade for many years. However it was my lovely wife Norrie who teaches Irish Dancing who actually suggested going down the B & B road.....and we haven't looked back since!
