Le Pouget is a special place. My girlfriend and I traveled throughout France for the last two weeks and our time there was among the most memorable. It is a small, quiet village in the truest sense of the word, and evokes feelings of a time long ago in France. Elena was incredibl…

Thank you Stephen! Thanks for the wonderful review and for your comments about the house and Pouget. You have been an amazing guests, both to deal with before, during and after. Chantal loved you! This house has a special place in our hearts, it put us through so much! The work, the love and the pain (too bad your French is not better, we describe it in our booklet) that we have put into it for almost 20 years (!!) make us very sensitive about it. I am glad that you appreciated it, and that you could enjoy the special feeling of being in a place like that. Sorry about the water temperature! There is a thermostat on the water heater to set the temperature of the water, and probably it was still set on "less hot" from the summer. I am glad that you didn't give up though! Taking hot baths at sunset, possibly with a glass of good wine at hand, is quite unique. If you happen to come back to Europe, Brussels, Pouget, you will be our most welcome guest!

Elena was great from start to finish! We were given lots of information about the house and area before we flew out, and we were met by a lovely local lady, Chantal, on our arrival at the house. Everything was well organised and incredibly easy. Elena was really prompt at replyin…

Spent a great 4 weeks in Elena's beautiful house. Le Pouget is everything you would expect from a mediaeval French village, set on a hill amongst glorious Herault countryside. The house and the adjoining patio garden are an oasis of tranquillity in an already tranquil place. Elen…

We had a pleasant stay at le pouget, and the house was sweet and well appointed. It took us a little while to get used to the door heights, but this also allowed us to get a real feeling for what life used to be like. Nice house, lovely courtyard, lovely rooftop terrace.

4 Place St. Jacques was a great home base for exploring the region. It's very well-equipped, very comfortable (although a cold wind finds its way in through a few medieval gaps here and there!), and quite roomy. A variety of spaces means that you can always find a place to suit…

We are a British - Italian couple. We love travelling, discovering and enjoying good food and wine, being nice to people. Couldn't live without regular sunshine and seaside "exposure", playing squash and a good library on our e-books.
