"Farmor" is Swedish for "grandmother." I have so many fond memories of both of my grandmothers along with many of their possessions ~ from a 1960's couch to Danish modern furniture. I've blended it all into a roomy, very eclectic and comfortable place for guests to relax!

The space
This space has been divided from the larger home~ much like one half of a duplex. You do NOT have the full kitchen, and therefore NO kitchen sink. But there is a kitchenette that includes a dining table, mini-fridge and a Keurig with pods, sugar and creamer cups. Simple meal prep can be done using the microwave, hot plate, toaster oven, cooking utensils.

The private entrance opens to the living room with a TV which streams apps like Netflix, etc. The private bedroom has a full sized double bed, closet and a lounging couch which makes a cozy "reading corner." The private bathroom is located in the hallway and has a retro pink-tiled tub/shower combination. This space is very roomy for 2 people!

Another Airbnb is at the back of the house with it's own private entrance. You will only be sharing the opposite sides of walls and the driveway.

The Farmor Oasis is next door to me in an older, quiet, eclectic neighborhood about twelve minutes from the Fort Worth Stockyards, Sundance Square, Montgomery Plaza/7th Street Area, the cultural district, the new Dickies Arena, minutes away from the Joint Reserve base and easy access to the Trinity Trails. Downtown Fort Worth is about 4 miles away. There are several restaurants within walking distance and many more within a few minutes drive. Just 30 minutes away is the Texas Motor Speedway, DFW Airport, Globe Life Park (go Rangers!) AT&T Stadium, Six Flags over Texas, Hurricane Harbor and other vacation hotspots.

I am a retired middle school English teacher and love hosting Airbnb guests in River Oaks ~ my city for 43 years. It has a friendly, small town atmosphere, but is very close to big city activities. I have repurposed many pieces of furniture along with original art and incorporated them into the themes in my Airbnbs. The result is comfortable, eclectic spaces in vintage homes in a quiet neighborhood!
