A comfortable and proven blue water race/cruiser. A Farr Beneteau 50 with queen berths, shower and marine head in each cabin. The forward cabin is full width, very airy with plenty of natural ventilation. Enjoy the bustle of Newport Harbor from on the water, there is always a visual spectacle going on. A short launch or dinghy ride away is downtown Newport, full of shops, restaurants, historic buildings, parks and mansions. Please note: base price of $299 is for 2 people in the forward cabin.

The space
The base price is for the forward queen cabin. If you need another cabin for friends or kids a second queen cabin is available for $125 per night. If its just the two of you no other guests will be on the boat. Please be aware that I do stay on the boat. They are complicated systems so I'm there to give a guided tour on arrival and to answer questions if you have any. Otherwise the amount of interaction is up to you.

Guest access
If its just you as a couple on board, the forward cabin, shower and toilet are yours to use exclusively. No other guests will be onboard and once you close your cabin door your privacy is assured.

Other things to note
The pricing for 2 cabins is roughly equivalent to having 4 guests on board. So if you plane to book the second cabin, please book for 4 people even if there are only 3 of you. Although Airbnb books by number of people, the listing is for either 1 or two cabins and thats what determines the price, up to 4 people.

Location

Newport, Rhode Island, United States

Newport is an amazing natural harbor with strong historic ties to early settlers, naval power, wealthy 19th century industrialists and more recently tourism. It offers a mix of great local restaurants, beautiful wooden classic sail and power boats in daily use, historic sites, parks, a library, great walking along the cliffs and much more all in a very manageable size town.

Love to travel! Enjoy meeting new people with local knowledge, exchanging views on current events, philosophy of life, new ideas. Sailor, cook, business owner. Hobbies Tai-chi, sailing, writing, skiing, traveling, yacht deliveries and good cooking.....not necessarily 'fine dining'. Enjoy a good glass of wine and the occasional Guinness. Have stayed in a wide range of places from luxurious to very plain; I'll take good company, conversation and simple surroundings over cold luxury any day of the week.
