Thomas provides a wonderful tree house experience probably unparalleled. We definitely saw the monkeys. They are hard to miss. We saw them in the early morning. They can be there at other times but it depends if you are there to see them! But in the early morning (5:30 to 6:00 ish) we saw them several times. The place has a nice gas stove, fridge, hair dryer, a lighted path for the night, a sky light, and an amazing view of the trees where the monkeys are, and more still. In the interest of completeness, I will mention that you must ascend some narrow (single lane) and steep roads to get there (total length possibly 500-700 meters). I really liked the tree house but I did not like the roads. I found them a little daunting and even a little scary. There is one point where you are basically heading up and you cannot tell if there is anyone coming the opposite side. There is actually the possibility of having a head on collision with someone coming from the opposite direction on this single lane road. Not too many use that road, so the risk is low, but the risk does exist. Picture a person coming up the left side of a hill. Another person is coming up the right. It is a single lane. Neither of them can see the other until they are at the top. "Bang," it is an accident waiting to happen. How do you prevent this scenario? On one occasion going up the road, I did meet someone coming down. So I had to back my vehicle down the road to a wider spot so they could squeeze by. Fortunately, it was not at a spot where there was a danger of hitting them. But what if I had headed up the road just a bit earlier? It's a little but like Russian roulette, don't you think? These risks can be minimized by going slowly and honking if you cannot see who might be coming in the opposite direction. They cannot be eliminated completely (unless some type of electronic system were implented, for example, where you could see someone coming from the opposite side).

Response from Thomas + Lili:
Thanks Dan, that's probably the longest comment ever about our access road! I am living more than 18 years now on that same property, also a few neighbours down the hill, even a 90 years old lady, that drives her Toyota Yaris up and down that hill by herself. Not too many bullets in that "russian roulette", everybody is still alive and no accidents to report... ! But I am glad that you could enjoy the Tree House and all the wildlife!

This place is magical, we could have stayed longer. Its a bit of a hike in and out of town but taking a taxi back from town was cheap. Also the bus directly to manuel antonio is perfect. We saw lots of animals and got woken up by monkeys our first morning. The pool is small but a perfect place to cool off on a hot day.

The Tree house , this is by far one of my top 3 airbnb homes so far. I went to the Tree house on a short solo retreat, I was there for 3 full days and it was not enough! The views on the back porch are breathtaking and the way Thomas & Lili have set up the tree house, it is so comfortable and relaxing, I actually had trouble leaving! I would have to force myself out of the hammock to get started with my day! There is plenty to do in the area, I went hiking in Dominical (45 min drive), went to Manuel Antonio National Park and spent the whole day at the beautiful beaches and looking for sloths (15-20 min drive) and went into town to visit the Farmers Market and eat dinner at the Marina. That's if you actually want to leave the Tree house though, this was an unforgettable trip and I will certainly be back for a longer stay! Thomas was a wonderful host from the moment I booked the Tree house until the moment I checked out, offering his assistance in anyway I needed, can not thank you enough!! Pura Vida!

Thomas and Lili's place exceeds the glowing reviews - it's incredible. The wildlife, the location... it's all amazing. We had to leave early due to a medical emergency back home but we will be re-booking this incredible place soon.

If you love nature and truly experiencing another place, peace and tranquility, the tree house will provide you with great contentment and happiness. It is a remarkable and magical place to be. Sloths, monkeys, birds, butterflies and lizards all part of your day when you stay here!! Thomas is an excellent host, answering all of our questions and setting us up with an excellent tour to Rainmaker, a mangrove boat tour as well as in room massage (highly recommended). Henry was an excellent tour guide and would recommend him for any tours you want to book! The tree house is the perfect distance to town, close enough to walk for dinner or groceries, yet set apart for quiet days and evenings. Quepos is a great, quiet town where you can experience Costa Rica life away from the touristy feel of Manuel Antonio, but a quick bus ride to the park. We loved our stay here and would love to come back again someday.

We had a fantasic adventure in both The Treehouse and The Jungle Dream Cabin! Thomas and Lili are great hosts and the property was exactly as stated, and then some! The accomodations were truly perfect and the pool was a very special feature. The driveway into the property really is a bear, but well worth it! In the treehouse we were treated to a full-blown 5am Monkey Storm that was truly spectacular! And in the Jungle Cabin we had the pleasure of experiencing a rainforest thunderstorm! Thank you for being an awesome part of our Costa Rica adventure!

The Tree House is amazing. The views are incredible and will you get to see so much wildlife. We saw monkeys almost every morning, a sloth, and too many different bird species to count. It is a short walk into Quepos where the you can easily catch the bus into Manuel Antonio. Thomas was a great host. By far the most unique and memorable place we have ever stayed!

Moved from Switzerland 18 years ago, just love it here! The people are "pura vida", life is so easy, the climate is very healthy! Very lucky to have purchased a big piece of property in the Playa Macha area, declared as green area, where I offer the Villa Malinche, the Tree House and the Jungle Dream Cabin. Our environment is like the National Park, lot's of birds, wildlife and very peaceful, surrounded by lush rain forest!
My wife Lili is a licensed physic therapist, also with a great dedication for massages, she can make you feel in heaven.... Don't miss an onsite treatment during your stay!
We are happy to share this relaxed jungle feeling on our property with the people we meet through Airbnb. Just lay back in the hammocks, taste the famous coffee and watch the monkeys fly by...
