Getting around

The property is about 15 minutes walking or 3 minutes by car/taxi from downtown Quepos. From there, you have a frequent bus service (every 15 minutes, 60 cents/ride) to the beach and National Park Manuel Antonio. The drive takes about 10 minutes, also by car (parking along the beach or at the entrance of the NP)

Closest airport is San Jose (SJO), with several options for transportation to Quepos:

SANSA AND NATURE AIR are the two local airlines, taking you to Quepos or back to San Jose, the flight is 25 minutes, the ticket cost $ 75.-/pax one way. Both airlines can be found in the web and tickets can be easy purchased online.

INTERBUS AND GRAYLINE: shuttle service with several pick up and drop off locations.

The other option is a van transportation, pick up at the airport upon your arrival and drop off at the Tree House. Like that you can already enjoy your drive from the Central Valley to the Pacific Coast.

VAN TRANSPORTATION: door to door service (any time day or night)
Ask us for the current price.

You can, of course, also rent a vehicle and drive by yourself, but I can always see the guests arriving very exhausted. For your individual transportation then in Manuel Antonio, there are several rental car companies with similar cars and prices:

RENTAL CAR COMPANIES represented in QUEPOS:
Thrifty, Hertz, Alamo, Adobe, Budget, Toyota, Economy, National

Thomas and Lili's place exceeds the glowing reviews - it's incredible. The wildlife, the location... it's all amazing. We had to leave early due to a medical emergency back home but we will be re-booking this incredible place soon.

If you love nature and truly experiencing another place, peace and tranquility, the tree house will provide you with great contentment and happiness. It is a remarkable and magical place to be. Sloths, monkeys, birds, butterflies and lizards all part of your day when you stay here!! Thomas is an excellent host, answering all of our questions and setting us up with an excellent tour to Rainmaker, a mangrove boat tour as well as in room massage (highly recommended). Henry was an excellent tour guide and would recommend him for any tours you want to book! The tree house is the perfect distance to town, close enough to walk for dinner or groceries, yet set apart for quiet days and evenings. Quepos is a great, quiet town where you can experience Costa Rica life away from the touristy feel of Manuel Antonio, but a quick bus ride to the park. We loved our stay here and would love to come back again someday.

We had a fantasic adventure in both The Treehouse and The Jungle Dream Cabin! Thomas and Lili are great hosts and the property was exactly as stated, and then some! The accomodations were truly perfect and the pool was a very special feature. The driveway into the property really is a bear, but well worth it! In the treehouse we were treated to a full-blown 5am Monkey Storm that was truly spectacular! And in the Jungle Cabin we had the pleasure of experiencing a rainforest thunderstorm! Thank you for being an awesome part of our Costa Rica adventure!

The Tree House is amazing. The views are incredible and will you get to see so much wildlife. We saw monkeys almost every morning, a sloth, and too many different bird species to count. It is a short walk into Quepos where the you can easily catch the bus into Manuel Antonio. Thomas was a great host. By far the most unique and memorable place we have ever stayed!

My son and I just returned from a 6 night stay at Thomas & Lili's magical treehouse. All of the previous reviews are spot on. This is a well-equipped cabin perched in the canopy of the jungle. We had monkeys visit us each morning, and crickets sing us to sleep each night. The cabin is set atop a very long, steep hill. Whatever you are imagining the hike up to be like, double it. We ended up taking taxis home at the end of each day which were easy to find in town. The cabin is fully screened, but you're in the jungle and bugs and lizards will get into the living space. Just go with it. Thomas was wonderful with setting up transportation and getting us reservations for ziplining and a sunset catamaran tour. The bus to Manuel Antonio park and beach could not be easier or more convenient. There are a couple of good restaurants in the marina, plenty of drugstores, supermarkets (for essentials), bakeries and ATMs in town. If this place is available, just book it...you won't regret it! Thank you, Thomas & Lili!!

Thomas and Lili's treehouse was just perfect. We loved getting a 5am wake-up call from the howlers and then visits from capuchins and squirrel monkeys shortly thereafter. Highly recommend this place for any nature lover!

We hit the airbnb jackpot with this treehouse! Absolutely the most unique experience staying here a week, with so much wildlife off the deck, great accommodations with everything we needed and a pool that we enjoyed every day! We loved the 2 private hikes to nearby beaches and coves that Thomas directed us to, make sure to ask him about those. Walked often into Quepos; we didn't rent a car and were so happy with this decision. Thomas arranged a couple tours with a private guide, Henry, that was well worth the $ (Manuel Antonio National Park and Rainmaker Conservation Project). Saw so much more with a guide than had we gone on our own! His wife Lilli is a very talented physical therapist and masseuse, highly recommend the relaxation massages, she has great intuition and knowledge of anatomy and it was *such* a great experience, we had her come back 2 days later for another round of massages. Kitchen had all the cooking utensils we needed to make some meals. Rice, beans and fresh mango from the farmers market didn't get tiring for quick meals in the treehouse. Z Gastric Bar at the marina had great fish, Mus Annis for bakery in Quepos, mmm. Sunset Sail was great with delicious seabass dinner on board. We did not have a bad meal our entire stay here! Absolutely no biting bugs, our bug spray never got touched! Breeze and ceiling fan meant it never got too steamy, nights were very comfortable and after trekking up the steep road from Quepos, the pool was perfect to cool off in. We were happy we had Keens for hiking and walking up and down the steep road, a small flashlight to do this at night and we only wish we had brought binoculars and a wildlife guide, since there was SO many things we saw from the deck that we didn't know names of (birds). So many bird, lizard and monkey experiences on the deck and roof and trees outside the treehouse made it such a memorable trip! Our last day there we awoke to howlers early on and their eerie cries, then a round of capuchin monkies playing on our roof at sunrise, then 10 little squirrel monkies wrestling on the deck. You will not regret booking this trip!!

Moved from Switzerland 18 years ago, just love it here! The people are "pura vida", life is so easy, the climate is very healthy! Very lucky to have purchased a big piece of property in the Playa Macha area, declared as green area, where I offer the Villa Malinche, the Tree House and the Jungle Dream Cabin. Our environment is like the National Park, lot's of birds, wildlife and very peaceful, surrounded by lush rain forest!
My wife Lili is a licensed physic therapist, also with a great dedication for massages, she can make you feel in heaven.... Don't miss an onsite treatment during your stay!
We are happy to share this relaxed jungle feeling on our property with the people we meet through Airbnb. Just lay back in the hammocks, taste the famous coffee and watch the monkeys fly by...
