Beautiful area
This home is in a scenic location.
Some info has been automatically translated.
It is a lodge in the mountain which refurbished the old building and has a stay production base for artists. The name of the lodge is "Kumoma".
Our lodge is in Koguchi village, which is located in the mountains between Hongu and Nachi. It is popular with hikers on the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage route.
For breakfast, we serve simple things such as toast, drinks, fruits, etc. It is rare in the mountains, but you can buy some food because the small shop is in front of you.
The space
Guests sey this place is perfect for hikers, because just in the middle of Kogumotori-goe (1 km to trailhead) and the Ogumotori-goe (right next to trailhead).
4 people can sleep in the Japanese-style room on the 2nd floor, 2 people can sleep in another small room, and there is a bathroom on the basement floor.
There is also wi-fi with enough speed to work.
It is a space like a private cabin, not a hotel, and may feel a little cold in winter because it is equipped with electric air conditioning only.
The first-floor lounge occasionally hosts pop-up cafes with guest host. While a manager is on-site during the busy spring and autumn seasons, the second-floor guest area remains entirely private.
Guest access
You can use 2 rooms on the 2nd floor and a bathroom on the basement floor. You can also use the 1st floor lounge which also uses artists making stay.
Other things to note
Because it is a mountain lodge, you have to leave the room until 9 am, but the lounge on the first floor can stay until around 11 o'clock.
