Wow- both the place and Thomas and Lili were amazing! We stayed at the jungle Dream Cabin for 6 days and the tree house for 3 and both were unbelievable experiences- in the tree house you can see into the canopy and the cabin you feel like part of the rainforest. The wildlife was fantastic! Thomas and Lili were also very helpful with booking excursions and arranging transportation. We didn't have a car and it was fine the whole time- excursions usually include transportation and there were cheap buses to Manuel Antonio, and all of Quepos was within walking distance. Overall we had a fantastic stay and hope to be back soon!

Thomas went above and beyond what a normal host has done for us in the past. He arranged a cab to pick us up from SJO and drive us all the way to the treehouse. He reserved a rafting trip for us and more than once saw us walking on the side of the road and gave us a ride to where we were going. He is a fabulous person! Oh, and the treehouse...need I say more? I mean, it's a treehouse that overlooks the lush rainforest of Costa Rica. You wouldn't want to stay anywhere else. You have all the amenities you need, plus you get to get to sleep and wake up to sounds of all of the animals. We were visited by monkies on several occasions and saw lots of wildlife. I would highly recommend staying here...if you can actually find a time when they're not already booked ;)

The treehouse is one-of-a-kind!! You would be lucky to stay a few nights in this jungle paradise. The treehouse is so serene and peaceful. We loved being woken up by the birds, and being lulled to sleep by the cicadas and the rain. Thomas was very accommodating, even meeting us after hours. We hope to come back someday!

Incredible stay. The squirrel monkey wrestling match on the back porch of the Treehouse was hands down the coolest thing we've seen in Costa Rica after 2.5 weeks here.

We loved our stay at the tree house. My husband and I were on our honeymoon, and it was perfect for us. It was rustic and secluded- you feel totally immersed in the Costa Rica rainforest. We saw monkeys, sloths, tu and, scarlet macows, and more. It's quite the hike if you walk up to the house, but we did it a few times and cooled off in the pool afterwards. Also, the taxis up the hill were pretty cheap. We communicated with Angie, Thomas' assistant, and she was incredibly helpful and friendly. All in all, it was an amazing experience for us and we would recommend it to anyone who's up for an adventure.

Thomas provides a wonderful tree house experience probably unparalleled. We definitely saw the monkeys. They are hard to miss. We saw them in the early morning. They can be there at other times but it depends if you are there to see them! But in the early morning (5:30 to 6:00 ish) we saw them several times. The place has a nice gas stove, fridge, hair dryer, a lighted path for the night, a sky light, and an amazing view of the trees where the monkeys are, and more still. In the interest of completeness, I will mention that you must ascend some narrow (single lane) and steep roads to get there (total length possibly 500-700 meters). I really liked the tree house but I did not like the roads. I found them a little daunting and even a little scary. There is one point where you are basically heading up and you cannot tell if there is anyone coming the opposite side. There is actually the possibility of having a head on collision with someone coming from the opposite direction on this single lane road. Not too many use that road, so the risk is low, but the risk does exist. Picture a person coming up the left side of a hill. Another person is coming up the right. It is a single lane. Neither of them can see the other until they are at the top. "Bang," it is an accident waiting to happen. How do you prevent this scenario? On one occasion going up the road, I did meet someone coming down. So I had to back my vehicle down the road to a wider spot so they could squeeze by. Fortunately, it was not at a spot where there was a danger of hitting them. But what if I had headed up the road just a bit earlier? It's a little but like Russian roulette, don't you think? These risks can be minimized by going slowly and honking if you cannot see who might be coming in the opposite direction. They cannot be eliminated completely (unless some type of electronic system were implented, for example, where you could see someone coming from the opposite side).

Response from Thomas + Lili:
Thanks Dan, that's probably the longest comment ever about our access road! I am living more than 18 years now on that same property, also a few neighbours down the hill, even a 90 years old lady, that drives her Toyota Yaris up and down that hill by herself. Not too many bullets in that "russian roulette", everybody is still alive and no accidents to report... ! But I am glad that you could enjoy the Tree House and all the wildlife!

Moved from Switzerland 18 years ago, just love it here! The people are "pura vida", life is so easy, the climate is very healthy! Very lucky to have purchased a big piece of property in the Playa Macha area, declared as green area, where I offer the Villa Malinche, the Tree House and the Jungle Dream Cabin. Our environment is like the National Park, lot's of birds, wildlife and very peaceful, surrounded by lush rain forest!
My wife Lili is a licensed physic therapist, also with a great dedication for massages, she can make you feel in heaven.... Don't miss an onsite treatment during your stay!
We are happy to share this relaxed jungle feeling on our property with the people we meet through Airbnb. Just lay back in the hammocks, taste the famous coffee and watch the monkeys fly by...
