Beautiful apartment with three bedrooms, good kitchen, living room and three showers. It only has one toilet though, which wasn't a problem but could be nice to know. Nice area around the Bastille, with a small grocery store across the street and a bakery on the corner for fresh croissants.
The apartment was clean. We expected 3 toilets because there were 3 bathrooms but there was only 1 toilet. Not a big deal, just surprised.
The kitchen was nice and has everything a kitchen needs. We didn't use it, enjoy the French food!
It's on the 5th floor so be prepared to walk up some stairs. There is an elevator but it's super tiny. 2-3 people only. We used it to haul our luggage up to the apartment.
There were several decent restaurants in the neighborhood and they spoke just enough English. The closest metro stop was Ledru-Rollin and is only 2 blocks away next to a McDonald's.
We never actually saw Moo but spoke on the phone with him and via text message and he was helpful each time.
The beds were pretty comfortable. Nothing fancy but it worked just fine.
The washing machine was tiny but worked and they left some detergent there. No dryer but there is a little foldout clothes line that was helpful.
The pictures did make it seem a little bigger than it actually was. Again, no big deal, we were not in it much since we were seeing the sights.
The apartment was fine, although the bathroom situation is a challenge. There are 3 bathrooms (2 are TINY) and only one toilet, located in a tiny room next to the kitchen and dining areas. Certainly not ideal for a party of 5. The showers were a real problem and ran mostly cold water (even for the first person in the shower.) There were exactly 6 bath towels left for our party of 5 - no face cloths, no hand towels, no extra bath towels. As noted in prior reviews, the fitted sheets do not fit the beds well and do not stay on the beds. Neither of the televisions worked and although the owner indicated he would come by one evening to check on them, he did not come. The neighborhood is nice, although there was a homeless man outside the building throughout our 4 day stay relieving himself as needed on the sidewalk. The apartment is clean, well-equipped and located convenient to a number of Metro stations. It was a good value for our family as we would have required 3 hotel rooms. If you are very focused on sightseeing, it is not terribly close to the main tourist attractions.
we are a group of 5 and just checked out on today (12 June). Moo's apt is in a few minutes walking distance from gare de lyon and bastille.
Check in and keys hand-over procedures is smooth and nice. We were received by a lady who explained clearly all the facilities and recommended some good places to go to.
The apt is located at 5th floor. The elevator is working fine. That is good as we shop a lot in Paris.
Just in the opposite side of the apt, there is a supermarket. That is very important to us as we like to cook big breakfast before going out for site-seeing and shopping.
The 3 shower rooms are cool. We can take quick shower at the same time and go to bed early for the next day program.
The apt has 2 fringes. A big one was located in the kitchen and a little one was located in the living room. It is good point for us as we can take a cool beers a whole day tour in the living room.
At last but not the least, in conclusion, i have just booked another stay at moo's apt next month (July 2015).
Highly recommended and a nice experience in Moo's apt.
The apartment is well located - transport, supermarket, restaurants and Gare de Lyon just a short walk away. Lift had not been working for weeks but we were only advised the day before we arrived. Unfortunately we found 5 floors/102 steps not very satisfactory and a challenge carting suitcases and bags. I emailed Moo re the lift and also was there an iron and I'm still waiting to hear from him and we left a couple of days ago. Two of the bathrooms are very small and the one toilet is located cupboard like between the kitchen and dining area. I didn't have the pleasure of meeting Moo. The cleaning lady let the first of the 3 guests in. Good wifi internet connection.
Also alles super.
