About this listing
Stay in the heart of the Marigny Triangle! Just two blocks to the French Quarter and Frenchmen st, the center of the New Orleans music scene. Our warm two story guesthouse is filled with old New Orleans Storyville charm. Sleeps 4-6 comfortably.
Built in the early 1800s, this guest home is quintessentially New Orleans. With exposed brick walls and French Doors that look out onto a balcony over a shared courtyard, it is truly serene. Decadent in decor, the open floor plan features a Queen bed and two twin beds upstairs in the bedroom with a day bed and a couch downstairs in the living room. Also includes a fully equipped kitchen, and a private entrance.
Guests will have access to shared Courtyard. Fully equipped Kitchen. Balcony overlooking courtyard. Private washer and Dryer. The best music and food New Orleans has to offer within walking distance.
Interaction with Guests
We live in the main house, across the large courtyard. We check our guests in and are readily available for any recommendations or assistance needed in exploring our beautiful city. We interact as much or a little as our guests request.
The Fauborg Marigny is the art and music center of the city. Rated one of the best neighborhoods in New Orleans, with locally owned art galleries, boutiques and restaurants popping up all over and at the center of it, the live music scene of Frenchmen st.
Street parking is available. Taxi's are easy to get, bike rental shop on Frenchmen St. right around the corner (great way to see the city) and the street car is at Esplanade and Elysian Fields (a short walk).
Other Things to Note
We love our city, we are happy and excited to share it with others.
We ask our guests to be respectful and conscientious of our neighbors and tenants that are sharing the courtyard. No smoking inside, no pets (sorry)
Jeremy's place was great and exactly what we wanted for our Bachelorette weekend home base. The house was super adorable and in a great location - just a few blocks from the French Quarter but on a quiet street. The four of us were very comfortable. All of the amenities we needed were included and the beds were very comfy. Jeremy was super helpful and was always quick to answer questions via text message. He even sent us a long list of some of his favorite spots in the city. We'd definitely stay here again.
This house was absolutely fabulous. Jeremy was a great host with great recommendations. The house was in the perfect neighborhood and was walking distance to everything. The AC worked great and the place was big enough for the 6 of us!
Jeremy was a solid host. Welcoming and gregarious, but didn't linger. There were a couple minor problems that he fixed right away and was very communicative about. Good experience overall.
Jeremy was an excellent host. He was there whenever we needed him to be, and shared his knowledge of good places to go out and places to eat including the 24/7 po-boy delivery service that got used frequently! We were staying as a group of 6, but fitted into the place just fine with a little bed sharing.
The place was exactly as described if not better and in a perfect location to explore all the areas we wanted to get to in around 5 mins such as Frenchmen Street, the quarter, markets, Treme, and the park were all within easy walking distance.
If I go back to New Orleans this will be the first place I will look to stay. Perfect place and host!
Great place, on the edge of as crazy as the quarter can get. We had a fantastic time, Jeremy was quick to get back to us during our stay. Highly recommended, and I will probably try to book the flat again.
Nothing but great things to say about this property and the host. Even before I booked, Jeremy was extremely helpful and prompt to reply to any questions I had. Once we arrived, Jeremy immediately gave us the lay of the land and a great list of recommendations for food, drink and music (what else do you need in New Orleans?!) including some great local spots, as well as the more popular or well-known places, and some suggestions on thing to do and see in the area.
The apartment itself is spot on with the listing, and filled with soul and character which was exactly what we were looking for. You can tell the hosts have a lot of love for their city, and it shows when you stay in their guest house. The building is unique and very cozy, and we really enjoyed having access to the courtyard and balcony. We fit 4 guys comfortably with ample room to spare. All the beds are super comfortable and the whole place was very clean and well appointed.
This residential neighborhood where the apartment is located felt very safe, and is in a great location. There are some great places to eat within a block or two (one of our favorites for breakfast was Ruby Slipper). It’s a short walk over to Frenchman street (just a few blocks, maybe a 5 minute walk) where you’ll find great music and food with a much different vibe than Bourbon St. It’s also a short walk to the heart of Bourbon St. and the heart of the quarter – maybe a 10 minute walk – but far enough to be a nice retreat from late night Bourbon St. During our stay we bounced back and forth between Frenchman St. and Bourbon St. a lot, and the apartment is really convenient to both. I was actually a bit concerned looking at the map before we arrived and was pleasantly surprised with how convenient the location was. It’s also easy to get a cab from Frenchman St.
I would absolutely stay here again. Thanks, Jeremy, for being an awesome host and for sharing your wonderful guest house!
Simply amazing. There were five of us girls in town for a bachelorette party in this cute little house and we all slept very comfortably. The house is adorable and the location is fantastic (just a couple blocks from good ole' Bourbon Street).
Jeremy was SO NICE and he really made us feel welcome. He provided great recommendations and was a really fabulous host.
Overall a wonderful experience. This is THE PLACE to stay for sure and I know if I ever head back to NOLA, I will be hitting up Jeremy again.

About the Host, Jeremy
My wife and I are two young professionals who love our city and are happy to share it with fellow travelers. Participating in AirBandB helps us restore our 100 year old home and share its history with others.
When we decided to add our guest house to Airbnb we wanted to make sure that it represented what we love about old romantic/mischievous New Orleans. The exposed brick, vibrant colors and architecture are some of these aspects. Sitting on the courtyard balcony at night you can even sometimes faintly hear the brass bands playing songs on Frenchmen St. that have been passed down through generations. We love our city and we hope you will too.
