"Coconuts are better than Diamonds"
Where to start....
It is a bungalow in the rainforest on the breathtaking Island of Dominica in the Caribbean.
Tranquil, pristine and unforgettable.
You are surrounded by lush green rainforest, looking out over Prince Rupert Bay, no noise, no roads, no cement. Coconuts, mango's, bananas, and avacados, among other fruits growing right outside your door. Native parrots stopping by to say hello, more birds than you can imagine, all while you relax on the back deck.
Incredible sunsets while sipping on a glass of champagne....
The Peanut Farm is the perfect place to discover the magnificent beauty and wonders Dominica has to offer.
4x4 Rental car is recommended.
Shuttle service available to/from airport for a fee
Shuttle service available into Picard and Portsmouth (bus station)
Other Things to Note
I first visited Dominica in August of 2011 and I immediately felt a connection.
Dominica is an extraordinary unspoiled island, a rich tapestry of lush rain forests, Volcanic peaks, waterfalls, rivers, hot springs, emerald pools and beaches.
The local culture is welcoming and embraces music, art and nature.
Whether you are looking for the best diving/snorkeling in the Caribbean, a hiking trip through the rain forest, a rowboat experience down the Indian River, a soak in a hot spring, a plunge into a waterfall, a trek up a volcano or a visit to a Boiling Lake...Dominica offers that and so much more.
That is why we built the Peanut Farm Bungalow. I spend 6-8 weeks a year in Dominica and I know that choices of accommodations are limited.
What we offer is unique, a treehouse in the rainforest surrounded by nature.
I hope you will consider Dominica for a vacation and choose the Peanut Farm to host your stay.
Respect house rules just as you would in your own house.
Smoking only allowed outside-it is an all wood bungalow.
No pets allowed.
5 jours magiques en Dominique cette maison est un petit coin de paradis... Good fend shui et top feeling...
Très difficile de trouver mieux !
Merci à Darnelle et Captain Mark ...
On reviendra pour sur !!!
A nice place to stay and recommended. Spectacular view and great space on the terrace to hang around. Kitchen very well equipped. Very nice neighbor - Spesh is Super and deserves the nick name Super Spesh he also is a great guide. Very friendly dogs and host Captain Mark is an uncomplicated host and has been very helpful for any requests we had. The house is located in a good spot enough away from downtown but easy to reach by car. As it surrounded by a rich garden full of fruits and thanks to Spesh we got an impression of being in paradise. We definitely would come again.
