Lough Finn Cottage offers Luxury Accommodation in a beautiful setting overlooking the nearby Lough, and just a mile away from the little village of Fintown which is set in the heart of the Donegal Gaeltacht.
Lough Finn is a breathtaking 3 miles long lake and is a half mile wide at its widest point. The lake lies under the shadow of Aghla and Screig Mountains and the sight of these tree clad slopes reflected on the lake is one of the most impressive inland views in County Donegal.
The River Finn which meanders through the area is recognised as one of the finest salmon rivers in Ireland and attracts anglers from far and wide. Permits for the excellent fly fishing in the Fintown area can be obtained from the Railway Inn which is within a short distance from Lough Finn Cottage.
While the cottage is situated in a peaceful and tranquil location, a number of bustling towns such as Dungloe, Glenties, Ardara, Ballybofey and Letterkenny are all within a 15 to 25 minute drive.

The Cottage is located beside the main road to Glenties.
Visitors to the area can now take a step back in time with a visit to the Fintown Railway, the only operational narrow gauge railway in Donegal in a setting which prompted the famous international playwright Brian Friel to pronounce “What is on offer is a unique journey along the shores of a lake as grand as any in Switzerland or Minnesota”. Set amidst spectacular highland scenery overlooking Lough Finn, the railway which runs for 5Km, is a restored section of the former County Donegal Railway.
Glenties is the nearest town and offers a selection of cafes, restaurants and local pubs, just 9 Km away.
