Glamping in the Gunks!
This cozy off the grid cabin is 90 minutes from NYC, adjacent, to Minnewaska State Park and across the street from the Mohonk trail system.
Rustic luxury allows you to get back to nature. Close to world class rock climbing, walking/hiking to the waterfall in the park, biking, swimming and more.
Spectacular sunrise vistas, total privacy and unmatched serenity.
Perfect for couples, small families, nature lovers, digital detoxes, bachelor (ette) Parties, etc.
The space
The cabin has an open floor plan - like a big tent!
First Floor Layout:
Kitchen and dining area;
Living area with propane fireplace for chilly nights;
Full-size bed with curtains that close on all sides for privacy;
Indoor bathroom with flushing toilet, sink and walk in shower.
In addition to indoor bathroom facilities, we happen to love our custom-built outdoor shower and outhouse. They are private from each other, but they are well constructed and have that amazing Mountain View! The outhouse operates on a septic system (it's not a porta potty) and it has a sink with running hot/cold water - and a MIRROR.
There are two sleeping lofts upstairs: One loft has a king size bed; the other loft has a queen size bed.
You must climb a ladder to get into the lofts and, fair warning, the ceiling height is pitched to the shape of the roof and low. All sleeping areas have solar powered cell phone charging ports and a convenient solar powered light, as well as fans for warm nights.
For those who love to cook: the kitchen is equipped with a commercial stove/oven and sink with hot/cold running water; a full-size fridge/freezer (powered by propane) pots and pans, dishes, silverware and glassware, as well as basics i.e. coffee, salt & pepper, spices, olive oil, etc.
Three covered decks mean - rain or shine - we've got you covered:
The cabin's front porch is a shady spot for your morning coffee. The back deck overlooks the mountain range and includes a covered family style dining area so you can enjoy the outdoors in almost any type of weather.
Separate from the cabin, there is a covered gazebo facing the mountains.
It offers comfort seating and a wood burning fire pit. It's cozy and comfy and you can enjoy morning coffee, reading, napping, talking or playing games and music. Enjoy this as shelter from the sun or rain - or just to sneak away for a bit!
The main outdoor fire pit is the focal point of many great evenings of reflection, laughter and songs.
For those who prefer to pitch a tent - there are two tent platforms tucked - apart from each other - along the tree line - or feel free to keep your tent up close to the cabin.
Early risers - keep your camera ready - as the sunrise can be an exciting and spectacular view from our vantage point.
The mountain top is a natural healing place for the brain, soul and body as you remove yourself from your routine. Watch and listen to the birds. Read a book. Go for a hike or a bike. NAP.
Upon arrival kids (and adults) may wonder what will they possibly do up here on this mountain? But in a short bit of time, everyone unwinds, exploring the area, looking for frogs and salamanders in the pond, roasting marshmallows over the campfire and spending quality time.
The property is situated adjacent to both Minnewaska State Park and the Mohonk Preserve trail systems, both accessible just 400 feet from our driveway. There is no need to drive and park to access either trail.
Disconnect from the media -
CONNECT with FAMILY & FRIENDS! There is just no better place to enjoy nature and gain a sense of freedom in your private sanctuary.
Bring plenty of good food, musical instruments (everyone loves a guitar around the campfire!) or a portable Bluetooth speaker.

Guest access
Look for our barn and red garage on the right side of the road with a red mailbox (house number is on the mailbox) and a red lion head mounted on a rock. Pull into the driveway and continue straight up the driveway (about 600') to the top of the property.
Upon your arrival, please make yourself at home in the cabin and have a look around.
We will be available to show you how everything works and answer any additional questions.
Other things to note
WIFI - There is 5G service at the entrance to the property. Although the cabin is technically off the grid, you can usually text from the cabin. There is a 5G "internet space" with seating in front of the barn with outlets to plug in and recharge. Zoom meetings and any other work you may need to do is easily done at the entrance level of the property.
The cabin has two solar panels on the roof which allows us to offer power for charging phones, charging small rechargeable fans and lights, which we provide.
Charging ports are located in the kitchen as well as next to each bed. There are solar powered fans in each sleeping area.
PRO TIP: Bring your food with you. You will be 9-10 miles from town, and you will not want to leave to go shopping once you get up here. You will want to bring at the very least, dinner and breakfast and even lunch with you.
If you are not into Grilling and Chilling, there are excellent restaurants in all directions from our cabin.
