The apartment is spacious and lovely and easy to be in. It is in a great neighborhood with a true sense of Paris life….interesting people and local shops and restaurants. It is central to most everything you might want to see in Paris and convenient to metro, taxi, etc. with much within walking distance.
We never saw our host although they were responsive to email. Nothing in the apartment was particularly welcoming… no coffee for the coffee pot, a flower on the table, nothing personal. It might have been nice to have a few touches like that. In fact, instructions on how to use TV, appliances, etc. had to be requested by email.
As I said this was a good place to stay but a little bare bones.
Fatima's apartment was lovely. Though I did not meet her, the instructions she left get to the flat were clear and easy to follow. It was a great apartment in a fantastic location! I would happily stay again.
Lovely, clean, spacious apartment in a great area. Booking process went like clockwork. Wonderful trip we would go back.
We didn't meet our host, Fatima but all our communication was very helpful and friendly. She always responded to our messages quickly.
The flat was in a good location close to a small supermarket and a few bars down the road along with the metro line which was very handy.
There was a double bed and sofa for sleeping. The flat was spacious with a nice little balcony, kitchen and dining area and a great shower - be warned tea drinkers there wasn't a kettle in the kitchen! There was a slight repair needed on a floorboard in the dining area but Fatima reassured me that she'll be getting it fixed as soon as she can.
We really enjoyed our stay.
My friends and I did not have the pleasure of meeting Fatima in person as our flight arrived late but we had no problems finding the apartment with the instructions she gave us. The apartment was clean and the pictures were accurate; fit the three of us comfortably. There is a very small elevator to help you up to the fifth floor. With our luggage we had to make two trips but the three of us managed to fit in it when we would come and go during the weekend. We enjoyed our stay in Bastille very much and Fatima's place was close to the metro and surrounded by eateries, coffee shops, and a couple grocery stores. Wi-Fi was available in the apartment which was very helpful. We asked that she leave us with kitchen utensils so we could make breakfast in the mornings. The cooking pans and such that she left were limited and we had to use silverware as cooking utensils but there were enough plates, bowls and basic spoons/forks/etc for us to use. The fridge was also empty and made available to us. The only issue we had was that there were dirty dishes in the dish washer and very little dish soap so we had to buy some to clean the dishes we used. There was space to hang clothing as we requested which was appreciated. Plenty of available outlets (but bring adapters if you are not from Europe). Overall we enjoyed our stay. Wish we could've stayed longer! :)
