**I have a 5-star rating and great reviews... please check them all out!**
About the neighborhood:
**WALKING DISTANCE to the new BARCLAYS CENTER!**
The studio apartment is located in a prime and popular neighborhood of Brooklyn, called Park Slope. It is a lovely, safe area with so much going on. You will never get tired of this neighborhood! Located on 5th Avenue, step outside of the apartment and find yourself surrounded by tons of shops, restaurants and bars.
There is a pharmacy (Rite-Aid) directly across the street and a grocery store (C-Town) 1 block away. It is also 3 doors down from a Laundro-mat. There's also a great cafe (Cafe Regular) only 1 block away and a great pizza place (Peppino's) 2 doors down... the list goes on.
About the apartment:
This is a very clean, recently renovated and quiet studio apartment. It is 600 sq feet (so not a large apartment... it is NYC afterall!). It is located on the 2nd floor (1st floor European), in the back of the building. There is absolutely no street noise.. even with the windows open.
- Full-size (double) bed, accommodates 2 people... this is NOT a queen size bed so 2 people fit sleeping very close to each other.
- Futon (for extra guest) -- not pictured here. Please note the futon is small, so it will fit one person who is less than 5'8''.
- Fully-equipped kitchen (coffee maker, microwave, toaster, utensils)
- High-speed Wi-fi -- I will give you the password.
- NEW flat screen HD television (only 5 working channels, sorry I dont have cable) -- but I do have a connection for your laptop and DVD's!
- Window air conditioner - cools the entire apartment nicely.
- Heat - the heater is controlled by the building, so you will need to let me know if it is too hot in the apt so it can be turned off.
- A PIANO you are welcome to play!
The apartment is a 15-minute subway ride into Manhattan and located only 1 block away from 3 different subway lines (R, F, and G trains) at 4th Avenue-9th St station. The B63 bus stop is also right outside the building.
Easy transportation by subway to: Times Square, Grand Central, Empire State Building, Chinatown, Wall Street, ferry for Statue of Liberty, and many other attractions.
The apartment is suitable for anyone who would like a local, homey Brooklyn experience while visiting the awesome, bustling NYC!
My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Monica's apartment. It was exactly as described - super sweet, very clean and cozy. Located in a great neighborhood with easy access to subway. There are tons of restaurants and nice places to eat. We recommend Luck Thai located two blocks from the apt. Monica was a fantastic host checking in with messages to make sure everything was ok. And it was! Thanks a lot Monica!! We'll definitely stay here again!!
Monica's place is the quietest little retreat- super sweet. I stayed there for nearly a week, and it was an excellent decision. The benefit of the location is this: subways close (2 blocks away), and a one-block walk to all the sweet lil trendy spots, but located on a main-thoroughfare that offers cheap eats (the bar on the corner is edgy and has wonderful food- and I ate there tons), and the bodega dudes are very cool and helpful.
Also a bonus- great water pressure. I'd stay again for sure.
A cozy apartment in a great location in Park Slope. The TV wasn't working while we stayed there, but that wasn't a big deal to us. Key exchange was easy at the bodega. Well stocked kitchen-- we really appreciated the coffee maker and corkscrew. Monica checked in via text to make sure everything was going well. It was nice to stay (email hidden)d in apartment, as compared to other dedicated sublets.
Monica's apartment in Park Slope is exactly as described - cozy!
Although I've never actually met Monica, I feel like I have a trusted new friend in Brooklyn who opened her home to us as she was the perfect virtual hostess. I had no issues with the apartment itself and felt if I did, I could have sent Monica a text and had the issue resolved. This a desirable neighbourhood with easy access to the subway lines, a comfy 24 hr diner, and fresh coffee and bagels too. highly recommend!
This apartment is wonderful, clean, and very quiet. The location is great. Of course it's near everything to see, eat, and do in Park Slope, but is also near the subway.
Monica was very attentive, checking in with messages to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed.
We'll definitely stay here again if we can.
The apartment was nice and clean, we had plenty of space on drawers and closets, the bathroom is good. The location is great to a true Brooklyn experience, with lots of restaurantes and nice places around and the place is walking distance from the great park.
We had a truly lovely stay at Monica's Park Slope apartment. It was spacious, clean and sunny! The location and neighborhood were both wonderful and Monica couldn't have been more helpful. Maps and neighborhood pamphlets were left on the table along with a detailed print out of useful information on the apartment, and she was always available to be called if and when we had questions. Overall a great experience.
