The house is very nice. The location is a little lonesome and a lot rain.
We're secluded but just a mile from Kalani Oceanside Resort and its many activities, and just a mile from Kehena black sand beach. We're on the east side of the island, so like all of the Hawaiian Islands, we experienced windward rains during the week you were here. Other times, we experience drought (it didn't rain for the whole month of February!). Weather extremes are part of climate change, I guess. But most of the time, it rains at night and clears up during the day. Aloha!
We loved the cottage especially the sounds of the forest birds, frogs and crickets at night. We slept like babies there. A cute place for a couple to stay, private yet accessible. A great value for the price.
We stay 4 days in this house. It's a beautiful area with a even so beautiful house. It's comfortable, clean and has everything you need for vacation. The frogs in the night was very nice. Thank you.
About the Host, Diane
I'm a writer living in paradise, inspired by the volcanic energy of the Big Island. My cottage was built and decorated by an artist/architect friend and I love sharing this beautiful rental with guests from around the world. Everyone loves it and the nearby volcanic adventures.
