Description

The space

A big bedroom in NYC, South Harlem -- just 2 blocks north of Central Park. Near Columbia University, close to 2/3/B/C, (you can be in midtown in 15 mins). All amenities included (iron, hair dryer, towels, sheets, WiFi) Close to grocery store, new restaurants and bars. Washer/Dryer in the apartment! There is also a piano, a projector for movie watching, large livingroom/kitchen shared space.
You'll have your own large room (with a small closet, bed and desk) and share the rest of the apartment with my husband and I, and two adorable dogs, that love people - a French Bulldog and Westie.

Private bedroom, Shared living room, bathroom and kitchen.
We have all necessary appliances, pots and pans and knives if you'd like to cook.
There is a washer/dryer in the apartment and you are welcome to use it.

We live here, and we are both home most nights around 8 or 9pm. We are happy to give you privacy and happy to help you in any way we can. My husband works at an office downtown, but I mostly work from home - so if you're planning to be at the apartment a lot during the day - I don't know that we'd be the right fit for you. Of course you are welcome to come and go as you please.

Central Park is beautiful - everyone knows that - but, did you ever explore the north end of the park? It's my most favorite place in all of NYC; beautiful gardens, great walking paths, waterfalls and the Harlem Meer, and just blocks away from Museum Mile.
We've been fortunate enough to live in this neighborhood for 12 years and I have seen it evolve into the lovely and vibrant neighborhood it is today, with many great restaurants that have opened up. It's nice to be a short subway ride away from the hustle and bustle living on a fairly quiet residential street.
We're located just a walk away to the famous Apollo, or Mintons Playhouse, Sylvia's, Red Rooster and the best cake shop in NYC Make My Cake !
We are also just down the hill from St. John The Divine, and Columbia University.
We're really happy here and hope you will be too!

Just a few blocks from two different subway lines the B/C or the 2/3, and busses - the M2, M3 and the M4
La Guardia, Newark, and JFK airports can be reached via public transportation. There's both paid parking lots and free street parking spots, if you have a car.

My boyfriend and I stayed with Stacia and Nathan for little under a week and we loved every minute of it! The space was so so cozy and colourful! We were out most days until late, but we would always catch them after a long day for a chat and laugh before bed! They gave us great tips and were super helpful and accommodating. We will miss Mingus and Ziggy the most but, we will also miss the amazingly comfortable bed. Thanks for everything guys! We will definitely be staying again.

I personally didn't feel safe walking around town after sunset. The streets were eerie. The apartment was cozy but the building smelled like pot and old. The bathroom was clean but the tub filled up while I showered! Everything was nicely organized!

Stacia and Nathan were amazing! Very friendly and helpful with advice on things to do in the city. The apartment is at a great location with Central Park and the subway just blocks away. Would love to stay with them again!

Just a great experience. Stacia, Nathan, Mingus and Ziggy are the perfect hosts. They had countless conveniences prepared for us. The location is close to the subway so it's easy to get anywhere you like. Couldn't recommend highly enough!

Location, location, location! The location of Stacia's appt. is great, a couple of blocks away from a subway station and within walking distance to Central Park. Stacia was a great host, she was super helpful walking us though the neighborhood and helping us figure out transportation throughout our trip. As everything in New York our room was a bit tight, specially when you are 6'4 and 280lbs like me but you manage okay, the shared bathroom was clean and tidy at all times and the dogs! My god the dogs! They were super fun and were great to have around. Would comeback for sure, recommended!

My mother stayed with Stacia the last time she came to visit us in New York and she was very happy with her stay. Stacia was nice and accommodating and everything was like described.

My husband and I live in our apartment just north of Central Park in NYC. Our cozy 2nd bedroom is available to rent. We're two blocks from both central and morning side parks and 20 minutes from midtown. Along with our two small dogs, Mingus and Ziggy (who are the life of the party) - we are ready to meet some amazing guests!
