Interaction with guests
As much or as little as the guest(s) would like. Typically we give them a walk-through with the keys, going over things like how to operate the wood stove in the winter, then like to go through the place with them when they're leaving.
The property is great for animal watching, and birding, with trails for hiking. Very dog friendly.
Long driveway for privacy. Parking for 3+ vehicles. Close to Canajoharie, Fort Plain and Sharon Springs. Routes I-90 (Thruway) and State Rt. 10 are within a few miles.
Other things to note
Please note: Firewood is provided at our cost ($20per bundle), please let us know if you'll be using the wood stove so we can provide it. Be aware that bringing in firewood from outside the area is currently not allowed (i.e. illegal and subject to large fines) by the DEC due to invasive species of beetles, etc. that damage indigenous trees.
Propane or charcoal for grilling is also by usage, as is electricity for stays over 2-days.

Please treat the cabin with respect, as you would treat the home of a close friend or family member.
Please do not take things from our cabin. Sadly some guests remove/take things as mementos of their stay, this is not appropriate and you will be charged.
Please let us know if something gets broken during your stay. We understand accidents happen, and would prefer hearing from you that something was broken or damaged (such as the ceramic stove handles).
