As much or as little as the guest(s) would like. Typically we give them a walk-through with the keys, going over things like how to operate the wood stove in the winter, then like to go through the place with them when they're leaving.

The cabin was wonderful, and everything we could have wanted. The grounds were great, everything was beautiful. We had 6 people, and there were no issues with space (though there were two couples, which makes things easier).
Secluded getaway great for some peace and quiet. We also enjoyed a great dinner in nearby Fort Plain and visited Howe Caverns. It was a very nice stay en route to Rochester. Our pups enjoyed it too!
Upon arriving at mad duck pond I knew it was going to be an awesome relaxing time. The cabin was comfortable and clean. The land was beautiful and quiet. The pond was a lot of fun with a nice abundance of large and small mouth bass. I would definitely stay at mad duck pond again.
Our family chose to stay here while our son played baseball in Cooperstown. What a lovely retreat from the long (though memorable and fun) days spent at the fields. We were so thankful to have this dreamy opportunity .... the cabin's aesthetics never stopped "giving" as the design, placement and decor seem meant for a total recharge of spirit...whether you are a rugged outdoorsperson an artist or simply a family seeking peace. We loved our morning bike rides through the bucolic farmland (some Amish) and would love going back to ride more. Our son, though he loved his Cooperstown experience, couldn't wait to get to Mad Duck Pond to be a part of it all. First thing he did was take our dog to the pond and through a line in. Our dog is an older guy but the puppy came out in him as he hopped around trying to catch frogs! Absolutely delightful.... the whole experience. Thank you for providing an opportunity that our family will never forget. We are all still smiling from our time spent at Mad Duck Pond.
Great place exactly as described found some good hikes around the area and good antique stores in town
Had a great time at Mad Duck Pond; wonderful out-of-the-way log cabin that provided us with an ideal "guys escape" weekend. Location is convenient (20 minute drive) to HOF and Cooperstown "attractions." Tolga is super responsive and was attentive to our specific timing requests.
Everything was perfect! Tolga and Joe were responsive to my inquiries and left me with privacy the entire time I was there to enjoy the property, pond and bull frogs. The area surrounding the cabin provide beautiful landscapes, farms, animals and Amish. It was a great get-a-way weekend.
