The Space

This historic carriage house received an architectural merit award when it was renovated into loft-style apartments. Unique open-beam construction, a cupola, and immense windows create a light and spacious environment. Beautiful original hardwood floors in front room. Surprisingly quiet given its central location; set back from the street amidst lovely dogwood trees.
--Large front room with futon (converts to double bed), fainting couch, comfortable armchairs, eating area, and fireplace.
--Fully equipped, recently renovated (2013) galley kitchen with granite counters and dishwasher
--Fully-renovated bathroom (2014) with stone tile floor and tub/shower combo; all-new fixtures!
--Pleasant, light bedroom with *brand-new queen bed* (Sept. 2015) and separate, bright office both overlook a park
Coin op laundry located on site.

The Neighborhood

Wooster Square is quite simply the best neighborhood in New Haven! Known as New Haven's "Little Italy," Wooster Square features some of the best pizza in the US. During the summer, there is a farmer's market just up the street.

Getting Around

Easy access to shops, theaters, and more! Walk to Yale and Downtown New Haven in mere minutes. Train stations with service to New York and Boston are also within walking distance. A public bus stop and a Yale Shuttle stop are located within half a block.

Other Things to Note

The place is spacious for 1 person and comfortable for 2. Keep in mind that you shouldn't mind hearing each other (open-beam construction = no interior ceilings, except for over bathroom).
