Other Things to Note
I will give you a code for the keysafe where the key for the house is kept.
No Smoking, leave the house clean & tidy before you leave, departure required before 10am to give us time to get rooms ready for next guests arriving.
Garry was very hospitable and amiable. Since the house is in a rural area, he met us at a central location and drove us there. The house was well set-up and very cosy. Internet access was surprisingly quick ! we really enjoyed the "village feel" around us with the comfort of a home. I would recommend staying at the Highland House when visiting Inverness.
We spent a week in Garry's house with our three kids (8, 12 + a baby) late july and eveything was perfect.
First of all, communication with Garry has been flawless from the reservation to the departure.
He has always been very nice and he always answered to our messages quickly.
The house itself is really nice. Modern comfort with gorgeous scenery, guarded by cows ! :)
There was plenty of room for our familly and it was very comfortable.
It was very clean and tidy and featured anything one would need during the stay.
As a conclusion, I highly recommend this house: I have absolutely no doubt you'll enjoy it as much as we did !
I stayed 6 nights at the house. 4 audults/2kids, 14 years and 3 years. Nice location. Short walk to the village. Nice place to make excursions from in the Highlands. Close to Nairn, Culloden, Inverness, and a lot of roads that lead you all over. Of course is a car needed to get around. It was a pleasant stay. A lot of equipment for the houshold at the house. I do recomend the hous for a stay!
We spent 5 nights in Garry's house in Inverness. It was a very nice and pleasant house with all you can need in it. We travelled with a small kid and he took care of all the details, we just needed to (website hidden)/washing/Internet/books/area information all was available and we couldn't miss anything. We had a lovely holidays in a comfortable house with beautyfull views. Highly recommended!
This was a very nice property in a very rural setting. It was extremely well equipped. i have never stayed in a self catering property with a bread maker in it before. There was everything you might need to cook gourmet meals with local produce. Garry was extremely helpful in making sure we found the property and that we had everything we needed. He was reponsive to suggestions such as providing lighting in the sitting room to help with reading the many guide and wildlife books in the house. It is a newly built house and therefore modern and pleasant. The location is very good - surrounded by inquisitive cows - not in Garry's garden I hasten to add. It is very quiet indeed. Highly recommended.
I stayed at Garry's for 4 nights with 2 friends. The place was perfect for us. It's simply gorgeous and amidst lovely farm land. The pictures don't do the place justice. It was plenty big for the 3 of us and he had all the amenities needed for cooking and relaxing etc. Another perk are the books that he has to learn about the area and where to travel. Garry was great to work with and we were able to meet him and even spend a bit of time with him. Overall a great experience. If you're looking for a getaway and gorgeous country, this is a great spot!
Garry is a wonderful host and spending 5 days in his highland house was an amazing experience. It's a comfortable and modern house and definitely large enough for the 5 of us. The kitchen is well equipped and large which allowed us to cook some great meals while enjoying the view from the windows. I would not recommend staying here if you don't rent a car, but if you do both Nairn and Inverness are quite close, and it's possible to do day trips to Ullapool, Isle of Skye, Speyside and Aberdeen like we did. Highly recommended!
