The space

If you want to be within walking distance to Golden Gate Park, Haight St, Buena Vista Park, and Cole Valley, this is the spot. Full size bed in the bedroom with 400 thread count sheets and a pull-out twin in the living room. Just installed fireplace and large screen tv makes hanging out fun in the comfortable living room. Bathroom has a shower within the tub and white fluffy towels.

Guest access

Your own entrance means you can come and go as you wish and enter the apartment through new french doors from the garden. There is a mini fridge, Nespresso coffee maker, toaster oven and goodies awaiting you in the breakfast bar area. Free wifi, cable, and maps of the area as well. The Bose sound system means you can play your own music and charge your phone! Laundry is also available upon request.

Interaction with guests

I live upstairs and will meet you upon arrival then be available as much as you need or not. I've been exploring the neighborhood and take long walks with my dog so there's not much I haven't seen!

The neighborhood

You will hear from many that this is the best neighborhood in SF. I chose this area for the many Victorian homes, the ease of mass transit, the walkability, and the abundance of parks, restaurants, and nightlife nearby.
As a recent transplant to this area I can tell you that the stores, coffee shops, restaurants, and pubs are great here. I forget I have a car most of the time! Street parking is easy except for Wednesday 8-10 due to street cleaning.

Getting around

Everything is a walk away or jump on the many bus lines that are at the corner. In minutes you can be at the Ferry Building, Marina, Presidio, Castro, UCSF Medical building, Market Street and Union Square. The N-Judah line also stops in nearby Cole Valley. I walk most places - post office, grocery store, pharmacy, bank, hardware, and clothing stores. The Magnolia Brew Pub is a block away with all their own draft beers. The number of walking distance hang-outs is amazing - Zam Zam is a fun martini bar, Sparrow is my new favorite farm to table restaurant and Club Deluxe offers pizza and live music every night! Plus Golden Gate Park is a walk away which means you can walk to all the museums and gardens there. I have books, maps and all the info you'll need to navigate your trip here.

Other things to note

I live upstairs and will be available for any questions - my friendly Australian Shepherd, Boo, may come say Hi

We stayed in Sara's apartment for four nights to kick off our honeymoon and our first time in the states. Sara's place looks as beautiful in real life as it does in the pictures. Her home is central, close to shops and public transport yet private and reclusive at the same time. Sara was an amazing host who was very responsive and helpful answering any questions we had. We spent most of our time exploiting the city but we loved coming home every night and getting cosy in front of the fireplace. We we're lucky enough to meet her dog boo who is very quiet and gentle. We loved staying here. Highly recommend!! Thanks Sara :)

Sara's place is a lower level 1 bedroom separate apartment from her upper level residence. Furnishings are nice and comfortable, and the fireplace a plus for the chillier nights we were there. Nice garden area in the back. It's location is in a great area, walking distance to Golden Gate Park and the historical Haight-Ashbury District. Public transportation seemed easy and close, although we used Uber for our 3 day stay and a ride was at most 3 minutes wait at any time, even at 4:15 am when we needed on for the airport. We were out quite a bit, but when "home" everything was great. Sara was easy to communicate with and we would recommend this airbnb to future travelers.

This is a beautiful home in an absolutely amazing area of San Francisco. The unit is compact but had everything we needed to feel at home. The bed was very comfortable; the WiFi always worked; the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. It was amazing to look out the beautiful French doors and see a lush (URL HIDDEN) beautiful! As is noted in the description of the unit, there is no kitchen. There is a tiny refrigerator and a toaster oven and coffee maker, but you must wash your dishes in the bathroom. The location is excellent for access to Golden Gate Park and the Haight - Asbury neighborhood. It took only minutes to have an Uber or Lyft car at the door to take us to other locations in San Francisco. There are fun cafe's, restaurants, and bars within an easy walk of this home. Our host, Sara, replied quickly to any text we sent her regarding our stay. We were very satisfied with our experience.

This was a very pleasant switch from our usual choice of a Union Square hotel when we visit SF. Close to the park and only a block away from Haight St. shops and restaurants. Two bonuses: a sweet little garden and blissful quiet at night. I slept more soundly and later than I do at home. Stayed local and used Sara's recommendations for dinner both nights: Zazies (French) and Bambino's (Italian), both walkable or a $6 Uber ride.

I'm a recent transplant to San Francisco from nearby Tiburon. I love walking my dog in the parks nearby and cycling the Bay area. I work with a contemporary ballet company and try to take advantage of the wealth of music, art galleries, and restaurants here. My home is a classic Edwardian built in 1904 yet my taste is modern and comfortable - can't wait to share it with you.
