This is a comfortable, 2-bedroom apartment right in the historic center of the city. It has a direct access to charming Plazuela de Mexiamora, a traditional, pedestrian-only, plaza with benches and a fountain around which one can spend relaxing moments after visiting the other attractions Guanajuato has to offer. It also has another access to street Cantarranas through a private 100-foot alley.
In the immediate vicinity (within 600 feet) you will find renowned places such as the three Teatros (Juarez, Principal, and Cervantes), the University of Guanajuato, and the city's main plaza, Jardin de la Union, where you can enjoy the music from mariachis and even a coffee and desert from Starbucks if you so desire!
You will have access to high speed WiFi Internet, a washing machine, and satellite channels on a plasma TV. The kitchen is fully furnished with dishes and utensils, coffee maker (we provide a coffee pouch for the first morning), microwave, toaster, and blender. Linens and towels are provided.
We truly believe this apartment offers one of the best locations in the city, being so close to all the main attractions, yet very quiet and easily accessible. There is a terrace on the roof which offers great panoramic views of the city.
For a small additional fee we can pick you up at the City bus station or at León International Airpor.t

We had a wonderful stay in Tere's apartment. It was clean and comfortable and the location could not have been better. We didn't get to meet Tere until the end of our stay, but she made sure someone was available to let us into the apartment and to answer our questions.
One of the best things about the apartment was the small but well appointed kitchen. It was a pleasant surprise to find everything one might need to prepare meals including oils and spices. This has not always been my experience in rental properties.
Lovely, clean, convenient and friendly place to stay in Guanajuato. Tere was a wonderful host, and we enjoyed spending time with her daughter on the rooftop terrace while she did her homework. Only good things to say about the place and visiting Guanajuato, overall!
Tere's apartment is very close (100') to the Teatro Public, Teatro Juarez & Jardin Union, which is the central hub of the city. The apartment is nice, clean, very well appointed & very quiet. Getting the Local TV and internet services working were challenging but it is a college town and everything is easily available.
This unit requires access by stairs and would be difficult for less active people. We loved it and the location, but saw several retired visitors that would have had trouble with the stairs. Tere is a working mother but she met all of our needs and time schedules. Phil & Madelyn Case
Tere was a delightful hostess. She was welcoming and gracious and did everything that she could to make us comfortable. The location was absolutely sensational: there is so much within 5-10 minutes of walking that you could literally stay a week there and never have to wander any further. The price was very good. We stayed for 21 days and we wanted to stay longer but the property was already booked. Keep in mind that this is old* school Guanajuato, but with these upgrades: the internet works extremely well, lots of tv stations available. The two bedroom apartment was clean and comfortable. There is a nice kitchen if you are so inclined. It was a great stay. *What does old school mean: low water pressure, scant hot water, no heat of any sort, bring a couple of small extension cords if you want move any electrical needs to other locations in the apartment. We would definitely return here.
Tere's apartment is wonderful. We were right in the heart of Central and access to everything was only a short walk. The apartment was well furnished. We particularly like the private alley access to the main street!
Tere picked us up at the bus station and gave us a short evening tour of her neighbourhood. That was very important to us. It provided a nice comfort zone that set the tone for the rest of our stay.
This is a wonderful apartment for anyone visiting the city. We will definately stay here again when we return.
Guanajuato is a wonderful, beautiful city, but not as beautiful and wonderful as Tere Rendon; our whole experience was great and even made better thanks to Tere. The apartment is cozy and has everything we needed and more. It is superbly located in the middle of downtown and yet is far away from the noise for people like us who prefer to have a quiet night after walking all day long. We literally walked the entire “centro” in a couple of days, enjoyed delicious food and took so many pictures we ran out of memory. Highly recommended; when going to Guanajuato, there is no other place to stay but with Tere.
Thanks so much !
Amazing apartment, great location and a gracious host, will definitely be back! Thank you Tere!
Tere est une personne vraiment très charmante et son logement est à son image, Le logement est très propre, très bien située et de ce fait peut être un peu bruyant, mais quel logement ne le serait pas en plein centre d'une ville animée.
Tout était impeccable. Merci beaucoup. Muchisimas gracias !
Five stars, and we would absolutely come back to Guanajuato and would stay at Tere's home again - it is well-decorated and warm, and the location is perfect. From Plazuela de Mexiamora we were able to take short walks to everywhere we wanted to go, to include the Museo de las Momias and even a hike to one of the crosses on the hills behind Guanajuato.
Tere is fantastic - our flight was delayed and so didn't get in until after midnight, but Tere was up and waiting for us. Her English is limited, and our Spanish wasn't great, so if you don't speak Spanish, be as patient with Tere as she will surely be with you.
Other things you might want to know, but none of which detracted from our experience:
1. There are no doors on the individual bedrooms, but rather curtains.
2. The outer door leads directly to the Plazuela de Meximora - not only to great outdoor seating, but two cafes (go to Zopilote Mojado for your coffee; the cafe to its right (el Fuente?) for your micheladas).
3. There seems to be an elementary school nearby - it was not an issue, but be prepared for a handful of 8-10 year old kids in the mornings.
4. There's an excellent view of the statue of el Pipila out the living room window, and it's a short hike up some stairs to the top (or you can take the funicular).
5. The water doesn't get too hot, so time your showers wisely.
6. There are dishes & silverware provided, and a small convenience store directly next door to Tere's place. Additionally, there are fruit stands and food stalls everywhere.
7. There are tons of restaurants in Guanajuato, but the street food is fantastic. For breakfast, we recommend the gorditos from the stand set up in one of the callejons off Plazuela del Bartillo. Look for the sign "la Guera."
Thank you Tere - your place is terrific and we love your city!
