We are becoming a honeymoon and some book a mini-moon before a larger honeymoon get-away. Book your anniversary destination at the cabin. Welcome to your soul soothing getaway. Seasonal pool, year round hot tub with bubbles under a large gazebo. A detached full indoor luxury bathroom, outdoor enclosed shower with portable steamer, cabin with full kitchen/air conditioning/heat/Wi-FI/firm queen bed, dedicated desk and gazebo/pavillion with gas fire pit, table, outdoor furniture with cushions, insect netting, curtains, and plastic enclosure during the colder months and hot tub. The property is fenced and gated on one acre. A private getaway and very well located to restaurants and shopping.

Starting with winter, the cabin is a quick drive/one mile away to Bear Creek Mountain Resort. We have discounted ski/boarding tickets. Enjoy Apres ski in the hot tub. Plan your winter get-away and ski/boarding/tubing season.
In the spring the gardens are full of daffodils, tulips, hyacinths. The gazebo plastic panels are closed so you can enjoy the outdoors and still be shieldes from chilly days. The gas firepit under the gazebo is available. Ask John for propane. Its $18 and can be added to your reservation. The gas BBQ is available year round and the propane is included in your rental price. A charcoal grill is also available. The pool opens the end of March every year.
In the summer the gardens are full of tropical plants. The gazebo plastic panels are adjusted to have the warm breeze blow through the insect screening but still having a few panels closed so you can enjoy the summer storms while staying inside the gazebo. The experience to be outdoors under the gazebo with the metal roof during a summer storm. Lightening bugs illuminate the gardens at night. Both the gas BBQ and charcoal grills are available. Propane for the gas BBQ is included in your rental, bring your own charcoal for the charcoal grill. The gas firepit under gazebo is $18 for propane and can be added to your reservation. Firewood is also available for the wood firepit $15. The pool temperature is whatever the exterior temperature is.
Autumn…some days are still hot, some evenings warm. There might be frost some mornings. Everyday fluctuates. Bring your hoodies and cozy evening clothes and daytime clothes for warm sunny days. The views of the changing fall foliage will inspire. Escaping the cities in any season to the countryside. A crackling wood fire on an autumn evening.

The romantic/cozy open loft style cabin can be used as a kitchen, office, living room and/or sleeping area, perfect for working remotely with Wi-Fi.

After arriving in front of the gates, a private property awaits you. Years of planted evergreens create the privacy everyone needs after living in the hustle and bustle of the cities. Open the gates and park to the right. The string lights from the cabin to the evergreens illuminate the parking area every evening.
John joined the short term vacation rental business starting with the farmhouse in 2011, one of the first in the Lehigh Valley, becoming a Super Host at the Farmhouse until the end of 2018 with guests coming from all over the world. After selling the farm and carving off over an acre to keep (previously a sheep pasture), a new, smaller, Airbnb experience started summer 2021. Libelula awaits guests who love the outdoors in a countryside setting and need that get~away with an easy short drive away.
Plan ahead for your spring, summer, autumn, winter get~away and come stay at Camp Libelula/Campamento Libelula “Libelula” means “dragonfly” in Spanish. There are plenty of dragonflies in the summer. Of course stars and fireflies fill the evening sky. Recreation is abundant whether is it skiing, hiking, mountain biking,cycling, pickle ball, tennis or at Dorney Park and Wild Water kingdom and of course the above ground pool (April-September and hot tub 365 days/year.

Camp Libelula is a perfect base for a couple or solo.
The next door ski mountain Bear Creek is 1.6 miles away. The mountain has an excellent ski school for all levels and top notch snow making throughout the winter. The cabin is a perfect autumn, winter, spring, summer getaway. Escape to visit the local wineries which are abundant in the area. The cabin offers nearby activites throughout the year with something for everyone.
Enjoy the countryside at this private gated/fenced property that is just a stone's throw from Bear Creek and it is a quick getaway to the country from the cities. Spend time at camp Libelula enjoying the outdoors with views of pastures.
Located just down the road from Bear Creek Mountain Resort, the property is an ideal home base for getaways. Intimate and cozy, the cabins are set on 1+ picturesque acres surrounded on several sides by the old farm and is close to all sorts of sightseeing/shopping in the Lehigh Valley and the rural scenic farmland and hills of Berks County.
After a full day of sightseeing, come back to the cozy cabin/ cottage nestled in the hills where you can enjoy the use of a small indoor kitchen and outdoor charcoal/gas BBQs, and sink for those who love to cook at home. The outdoor living area is set up with comfortable seating and a picnic table just a few feet away for 'al fresco' dining per season/weather as well as the above ground pool seasonally.
The cabin sleeps up to 2 people Queen size bed with firm mattress to be sure for a comfortable rest.

The property is easy to get to from points east in New York and New Jersey via I-78; it is only 1.5 hours from New York City (starting time on the New Jersey side of the Hudson River of course without heavy traffic) and one hour from Philadelphia without heavy traffic. Lehigh Valley International Airport is 30 minutes away.
The property is an ideal location to stay when visiting the Lehigh/Berks county area. Close proximity to Dorney Park and Water Kingdom, Valley Preferred Cycling Center/Trexlertown Velodrome, Lafayette College, Lehigh University, Kutztown University, Desales University, Penn State Lehigh Valley, Moravian College, Muhlenberg College, Cedar Crest College and are all within a 30 minute drive from the farm.
The property is a meeting of; old and new, country and city, people and a few neighboring sheep. The romance of a countryside getaway, getting away from the cities and time to reflect and reconnect with the countryside. Enjoy being on a property with a few amenities such as a luxury detached full bathroom with dual flush toilet, double sinks, shower with glass doors, private enclosed outdoor shower with natural light pouring in (instant hot/warm water). In the cabin there is a (firm)queen size bed, desk and chair, a fully equipped kitchen with sink, hot water, gas oven, microwave and refrigerator.
The outdoor living area in front of the cabin almost always has a breeze and is the center for relaxing, reading the morning news with coffee or watching the sunset over a glass of wine the views upon views ~ never ending and soul soothing. April-end of September the pool is open. The hot tub under the gazebo is heated and available 365 days of the year. The gas firepit ($18 propane) under the gazebo is available all year round.
Not far away from the outdoor living area is a wood fire~pit perfect for any evening (some periods camp fires are prohibited by local/state authorities) Please ask John for an update/ and for fire wood $15 during your stay.
Arrive at Camp Libelula and park in front of the gates/ fence on the paved driveway and unlock the gate (if John meets you it will already be open).
Guest access
Guests have access to a cabin, detached full bathroom, gazebo with furniture, gas firepit, and hot tub. Reservations are for only one group at a time on the property. Outdoor living area, includes a large gazebo with mosquito netting for warmers seasons and a plastic enclosure for cooler seasons. The above ground pool is open mid April through end of September, salt water bubble/jet hot tub at 104°F, private WiFi, parking, outdoor enclosed shower with portable steamer, indoor detached full bathroom (dual flush toilet, dual sinks, shower with glass doors), a cabin with full kitchen, a queen size sofa bed. A gas fire pit under gazebo, wood~fire pit, gas/charcoal~grills, 1+ acre to walk around anywhere inside the fenced-in property. Camp Libelula is located 15 minutes away from Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom in the summer and minutes away from the slopes at Bear Creek Mountain Resort for skiing, boarding, snow tubing. Firewood available ($15 per wheelbarrow) for the wood fire-pit and ($18 per propane tank) for the gas fire-pit under the gazebo. Also discounted ski and boarding lift tickets available. Ask John.
