A very nicely furnished apartment with the capacity of accommodating 7-8 people, on the fourth floor without lift (as most of the buildings in this part of barcelona) Three big bedrooms with two beds each. Two of the rooms have balcons on the side of the street and the other has a big window opening in a huge interior courtyard with sun light almost through-out the day time.
The kitchen and the 2 bathroom are fully equiped and the big living room and the dinning area are furnished with comfortable sofa and a 32 inch TV . Internet WiFi connection is part of the offer.
Please note that the AC is only in the sitting / dinning room and the bed rooms have fans.
Walking distance from the beach,port, comercial centre, metro (underground train)a lot of museums, theatres and so on.
Very well conected with Metro ( undergound train ) and bus stop, only about 500meters from this apartment. Just walking distance from a lot of important historical and cultural places. The beach is just 20minutes walk. The world famous ramblas is just 2 minutes walk from here.
Probably the ideal place for you to enjoy your holidays with your family or friends.

Very important point is not to disturb neighbours. keys are given aat arrival and the house is shown.
DAMAGE DEPOSIT and BEHAVIOUR:-
All our apartments are in residential buildings which means that the owner has strict house rules which must be followed by all guests. As of respect to the neighbours we do not allow any loud music or any disturbing noise in general as well as any invited guests or parties. Liability for the owner with regards to complaints which result in FINES and PENALTIES (which could be up to 3000euros ) are to be covered in full by the client responsible for the disturbance. Furthermore, please, be careful when entering the staircase: do not slam the doors or make noise when arriving and leaving the apartment.

cancellation initiated by the owner will entitle the client to a refund of his or her pre payment ex his or her transfer costs.
If the apartment is for any reason not in rental condition at the time of arrival, ie in the case of damage, such as leakage (or any other conditions making the apartment un-liveable), the owner has the right to cancel a booking for this specific apartment and reserves the right to transfer clients to an equivalent accommodation at its discretion.
If an alternative apartment is not available the owner will then refund the pre-payment.
the owner will do its best to assist the client to find a suitable solution of alternative accommodation, but will by no means be held responsible to do so.
Please advice us before hand of your arrival and departure time.
Upon arrival at the airport please call the number stated in the confirmation email, to advice the owner about your arrival which will give them time to travel to the apartment to be there for your arrival. If you experience any delays please notify the owner at your earliest convenience.
In case of any problems or non satisfaction with the apartment this needs to be reported as soon as possible to the owner. We can only amend the problem by being informed about it. If a claim is submitted after the departure, we would not be able to compensate you. With specific regards to the apartments cleanliness, if for any reason you are dissastisfied with the condition of the apartment the owner requires that you inform immediately so this can be rectified. Claims made after departure will not be considered.
Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the apartment. In case of breach of this rule only one third of deposit will be refunded, the remainder will be used to pay the special deodorization of the apartment.
Our apartments are non-smoking apartments: if you are a smoker, you are only allowed to smoke on the balcony! Please, respect this as the following clients might be non-smokers or allergic to smoke. Please, do not throw cigarette butts down into the street or patios.

Please note as indicated on our web site, that if you arrive to the apartment after 21h we have to add an additional check in fee, the fees are as follows:

When leaving the apartment, please, turn off all electric equipment such as air conditioning and fans as well as switching off all lights, Televisions and music since we try to conserve energy. Furthermore, please, take down the garbage; you can leave the garbage on the street next to the main door, ONLY FROM 20:00 to 22:00 every day.
When you leave the apartment, please, remember your keys: the doors slam and without the key, you cannot enter the apartment! You can contact the owner in order to gain access to the apartment. In case you loose the keys, the owner will deduct 25 € from the damage deposit for each set of keys (website hidden) case you loose your keys, you must inform the owner immediately!
A detailed copy of the house rules will be present in each apartment. Please, read them carefully since in case of failure to follow the the owner house rules, you will loose the 150 euro deposit paid upon arrival and be asked to leave the apartment without compensation. You may also be liable to pay disturbance fines.
The owner is not responsible for any personal damages or injuries which may occur during your stay in the apartment, the client indemnifies the owner from and against any and all liability and any claims, proceedings or damages resulting or arising from the booking, event or function, the client, guests or any outside contractors of the Client.
The owner will not be liable for failure to perform to the extent that the failure is caused by any factor beyond its control: Force Majeur which includes acts of God, strikes, lockouts or other labour disputes or disruptions, wars, blockades, strikes, insurrections, riots, earthquakes, weather conditions, snow conditions, lift closures, road closures, floods, or acts or restraints imposed by government (website hidden) such cases, the owner reserves the right to transfer clients to an equivalent accommodation at its discretion; if an alternative apartment is not available the owner will then return the pre-payment. The owner will do its best to assist the client to find a suitable solution of alternative accommodation, but will by no means be held responsible to do so.
The owner does not accept responsibility whatsoever for damage to, or theft from, or theft of, luggage and other personal belongings from the apartments.
Clients are responsible for any damage caused to the allocated rooms, furnishings, utensils and equipment in them by any act, omission, default or neglect of the clients, their guests or sub-contractors and will pay to the owner the amount required to make good or remedy any such damage.
The damage deposit will be held until the amendment of damages has been rectified.
Please contact the owner for any doubt that you may have.
The owner reserve the right to amend the conditions at any time and inform the tenant.
From Jun 1 - Aug 31, 2015 the minimum stay is 4 nights.
We quite enjoyed our stay in this location; very central and in the core of La Rambla area. Great for walking tours and to all of Barcelona sights. Our host was very pleasant, accessible and on time to meet us at the apartment. Explanations and tips were very appreciated. The apartment was clean but could benefit from some fresh paint and newer bath towels.
Wij hebben het appartement naar volle tevredenheid gehuurd van 14 tot en met 17 Mei. Ibilola Nazir heeft ons perfect geholpen en zeer vriendelijk ontvangen. De communicatie was op en top en zeer correct. Zeer aan te bevelen voor volgende verhuurders, zeer centrale ligging en minimale loopafstanden naar de mooiste plekjes.Dit gaan we vaker doen.
To be honest, I would give it 3.5 stars if it was possible, but since it isn't, leaving 3 stars would be fundamentally unfair. Here goes.
1. Ideal location in the heart of the Gotic Quarter, 2-minute walk to Rambla, 10 minutes to the port, 15 to Plaza Catalunia!
2. Enough space for everyone to spread out.
3. Full kitchen with a washing machine, 2 baths (1 is tiny, though), Wi-Fi, and AC (didn't use, but it seems potent), a small terrace looking into the inner yard.
4. Excellent soundproofing. Shut the windows and you won't know that it's noisy outside (and it is noisy outside).
5. Interesting design with exposed beams and brick wall--not everyone will like that, but I do.
1. Climbing up the narrow staircase to the 4-th floor with luggage is no joke!
2. Beds are uncomfortable (but there is a hack, read below).
3. The apartment is a little rundown.
4. Wi-Fi is like Dr. Jeckill and Mr. Hyde. Can fly one moment, then nada!
(website hidden) is only in the living room and no fans in the bedrooms. Could be brutal in the heat of the summer.
6. Two towels per person, and they are bad!
The apartment is amazingly functional for such an old building, and it shows that the owners put a lot of thoughts into equipping it just right.
My most important beef is the beds. Having a good sleep after the day of sightseeing and/or a night of partying is crucial. The beds in the appartment are covered with a very thin matress that looks and feels more like a matress pad. I woke up with a sore back the first morning.
This is not acceptable. My suggestion is that the owners upgrade the bedding ASAP.
A little hack that I did the second night: just take a pad from another bed and put it on top (the fitted sheet will fit fine). That helped somewhat.
Also, they have a large sofa bed. I tried to lie down on it on the last day, and it was quite comfortable. They make those sofa-beds better than in the US, I'n guessing.
The owners should offer help with luggage on arrival, IMHO, even if for the fee. Other than the initial luggage climb, I didn't mind the 4-th floor, good workout!
Even in May, the apartment would get hot sometimes, and it must be brutal in the heat of the summer. I think, installing ceiling fans in bedrooms would help that.
As to why every second vacation home owner in the world I've dealt with tries to economize on cheap towels, I will never even pretend to understand. But that's the fact of life. :)
Even though I left more negatives than positives, I would rent it again in a heartbeat. The location, the space, and all the modern conveniences outweigh the negatives by a huge margin, IMHO, especially if you travel with a large group (we didn't).
Ibilola nous a bien accueillis. L'appartement était propre, rangé, et elle était présente à l'heure du RDV. Néanmoins, nous avions un retard d'avion, et le numéro de téléphone que nous avions pour la joindre n'a pas fonctionné.
Le quartier est vraiment très sympa. Dynamique, avec beaucoup de commerces et de restaurants au milieu des ruelles anciennes. Néanmoins, selon les conseils d'Ibilola (que nous pouvons confirmer), il faut éviter de s'y balader la nuit, car passé une certaine heure, c'est un peu mal famé.
L'appartement est conforme aux photos, avec 2 salles de bain au lieu d'une seule.
Néanmoins, la WIFI ne fonctionne pas, contrairement à ce qui est indiqué, et nous n'avions que 5 chaises alors que nous étions 6 (et l'appartement est prévu pour 8 personnes !) donc c'était un peu limite.
L'appartement est situé tout en haut d'un immeuble sans ascenseur, donc mieux vaut ne pas prévoir trop d'aller-retours dans la journée !
Comme nous l'avions vu dans les commentaires précédents, le quartier est assez bruyant la nuit.
L'appartement est vraiment sympa, rustique et confortable.
Nous avons passé un agréable séjour à Barcelone. Cet appartement est idéal (prix, localisation, équipement) pour les courts séjours lorsque l'on est nombreux.
Well located, it's perfect for stay out all the day and having a spot to sleep and rest. The room are not so big but we were six friends so it has been not a problem. A good plus is the fact that there are two bathroom (one small but functional). The owner was very kind and allowed us, during the last day, to use the apartment to leave our baggage until the afternoon.
I recommend this flat for a group of friend that want to spend few day in Barça ;)
The appartment was very well situated; just a bit noisy at night. It was well kept and clean. The owner was very kind; we ware glad that he welcomed us friendly even at 4 o'clock in the morning (due to a strike we arrived 4 hours too late). We had a great time !
