Our house is part of a small-scale local development project of sustainable tourism. We have worked on the original structure of one historic 300-year-old home, designing 5 lodgings hoping to offer a friendly and quietly spot where days pass without stress. We are in a little and quiet town with all the services, near to the sea and the mountain. You could do sports in the middle of the nature and have all the pleasures of the french-catalan gastronomy and wines.

The space
Maison Chêne-liege is a French “maison de maître” situated in the historic quarter of the little town of Maureillas. Formerly Casa Sagols, it was in this mansion that the owners of the cork factory that gave work and life to the town until 50 years ago lived.

There you will be able to enjoy the fresh forest air, a crystal-clear river to bathe in, as well as a lake some 4 km away to practise water activities. There are several shops in town where you can buy supplies –more here link to town council website-, a fast-food outlet and two restaurants (“El Tap” and “66/vins”), open all year round. On Thursdays, there is a fresh produce market in the square.
