  • This was a great place for me. Easy to find, convenient to Jamaica Plain and public transport. Clean and comfortable room & apartment. Everything worked well. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. I'd stay again if I need to be in JP.

  • It was excellent! Roberto was very kind, understanding. His family was very nice and caring people. I messaged him a few hours before my mother needed the place to stay, and they waited until we arrived at almost midnight, yet they were very hospitable and sweet to us. (Well it also was a good World Cup day.) The place was very clean and cozy. A lot of art and interesting books. My mother loved staying with them and she also loved the location- peaceful and green, a quiet refuge after hectic days in Boston. She would definitely come back here. :)

  • Roberto was a great host during my stay for the Boston Marathon! Roberto really made me feel home. The apartment is very clean and in walking distance to the subway station Green Street. I recommend this apartment and definitely will be back next year!

    April 2014
  • Roberto is a great host. In his apartment, I did not feel like a stranger. Rather, I had the feeling to be a part of the community. He is a very friendly and open-minded person. On the first day, he even invited me to a party, which was held in the courtyard. Unfortunately I could not attend because I was very tired because of my arrival. Maybe on my next visit to Boston :-).

  • The reviews say it all. Roberto is a very warm and welcoming host. Being here was an extension of being in your home with family. We had dinner together at the table while we shared our day's journey. He shares his work and life with you and engages you to learn about you as well.

Inside the place was pristine and comfortable. All conveniences are there. Pans, coffee pots and more. The complex is safe and looks like you are in the botanic gardens.

Bottom line, I will definitely recommend staying with Roberto is you are looking to visit the Boston area.

    August 2013
  • I lived in Roberto's house during 2 weeks, and had a very pleasant stay. The room was clean and comfortable, the area is very nice with a lot of green spaces, with quick and convenient access to downtown Boston via the orange line.
Roberto and Gloria were very welcoming and friendly, I really appreciated conversations and cultural exchanges with them. They were always attentive to make me feel at home ! I highly recommend the place.

    August 2013
  • Roberto is a gentleman; warm, friendly, welcoming and chatty (if you like). The apartment is indeed spotless and the facilities are good. It's close to the T and interesting places to eat. All in all a very nice experience.

About
Uruguayan born, international by heart and settled in Boston since 84, Roberto was selected as Visual Artist "Best of Boston" (2011) by a popular magazine. Roberto has worked as a community artist all his professional life. His murals tell about culture and diversity in the streets of Boston. Well known in the city and of the city, Roberto (email hidden). Taking a visit to some of his murals will not only be beneficial to learn about the different neighborhoods as well as entertaining. We have lived at this the first condominium/JPCohousing in Boston, for nine years. My two grown up children are away doing what they always liked to do in NY and NH. We have a 1K square foot condominium and 10K square fee Common House space with a huge kitchen, living, laundry, children playroom and rumpus room, elevator, etc. We love this place and our sunny three bedroom unit. We have a great and diverse community here of committed individuals who make this place unique, safe and very pleasant to live. You can also visit the Cohousing page jpcohousing. Roberto Chao
