Always wanted to experience the vintage airstream life? Here's your chance! The Grace is a 1974 Airstream Sovereign Land Yacht. All the amenities of a hotel, just on the water's edge. Enjoy your coffee in the hammock, spend your days hiking, fishing, swimming, kayaking or paddle boarding. A hidden gem, right in the city.

Love the idea of camping, but really don't want to forego the heat/AC or the comfy bed? Well, the "Grace" at Progress Park is made for the finest Glamping around! When staying in the Grace, you get the best of both worlds. You can still have the outdoor experience, with a water's edge location, but still have all the comforts of home.

This 31 foot 1974 Sovereign Land Yacht has been completed remodeled and modernized from head to toe. It has every amenity you need to feel spoiled and comfortable during your outdoor adventure by the beach. Yes I said beach (right outside your door).

The grace is fully equipped with reclaimed wood floors, a full kitchen with concrete counter tops, 2 burner stove, fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee pot with coffee, filters and sweetener, all kitchen utensils, all bedding, linens and pillows, all bath towels, full length mirror, private toilet, toilet paper and paper towels, heat and A/C, free wifi, 2 smart TVs, desk w/ chair.
PLEASE NOTE: GRACE DOES NOT HAVE HOT WATER. it has a toilet and sink but the sink is cold water only. thanks!

The dinette table with reclaimed wood top converts to a queen bed, the couch extends to two twin beds with the trundle underneath and the back bed is also a queen.

The décor of the Grace is what really makes it. The walls and curtains are all white with gray accents of counters and cushions. The reclaimed wood details are to die for and little pops of green plants and custom artwork are perfectly placed. You'll truly not even realize you're in a camper. The memory foam mattresses were custom made to fit this airstream and we've been told numerous times that they are more comfortable than beds at home.

Right outside your door you can relax in your hammock by the side of the water, or have coffee at the picnic table under your awning. You can take a walk around the hiking trail on the perimeter of the property, go fishing in the fully stocked pond (catch and release only, bass, catfish, bluegill), or hop on a kayak/canoe/paddle board. Whether it's summer, spring or fall, you can always end your day around the fire pit under the string lights to roast some s'mores and share your stories of the day.

WATER FUN: Progress Park now has 4 Beaches! Each one is stocked with kayaks, canoes, paddleboards, & an assortment of life jackets. When renting the Grace Airstream, you will be assigned to one of those 4 beaches, and share with other guests on site. The specific beach location will be shared with you in your check-in instructions. Each beach is just a short walk away and a wagon will be provided, to allow for transport of all your beach going supplies! A map of the property, detailing your private beach and fun features on-site, along with check in and check out info will be provided in your mailbox at the entrance. NOTE: The Grace is usually assigned to Buechel Beach right outside the airstream, but on occasion if that beach has a private rental, Grace guests would use the Dam beach which is about 40 steps away.

This airstream can comfortably sleep 6 adults. So this can suit one or two small families or it also lends well to a romantic getaway. You really feel like you're at a resort vacation when at Progress Park and honestly don't ever have to leave the grounds, as everything you need is right there for ya.

If you need to do some grocery shopping or realize you forgot something, just a mile down the road are all the conveniences you might need such as Kroger, Costco, Target, Starbucks and more. And if you have the urge to explore or partake in some top notch eats or spirits, the Highlands Neighborhood is just 5 miles up the road. The Highlands is a village area full of the best restaurants, shops, coffee bars and art galleries. You can even catch a yoga or fitness class. And if the staples of Louisville like Churchill Downs, Louisville Slugger Museum or the Urban Bourbon Trail interest you, those are all within minutes of Progress Park as well. The four of us (Mike & Val, and Nick & Karey) all live very close to the park and can help answer any questions about the area during your visit.

NOTE: One thing to keep in mind is that you are immersed in nature, so our little bug friends are definitely around. I like to say that we are in their home, so if you don't want our lovely little insect friends in your camper, please keep the door closed when you're not inside, and make sure not to leave food out, whether inside or outside. Follow that motto and you will be just fine.

PLEASE NOTE: Guests outside of those listed on your reservation are NOT allowed on property. For example, renting the "Grace" for 6 people and inviting 5 friends to come join you at the camp fire is NOT allowed.

CHECK IN/CHECKOUT: We are unable to offer early check-in or late check-out. Our cleaning crew & property staff truly need every minute between guests, so the earliest you can access the property is 3pm and check out is no later than 11am. We appreciate your understanding. Thank you.

CONCEPT: We are a Glamp-ground & event venue. We have 11 rental units available. That includes 2 big houses, 8 airstreams & a bunk house. To see all of our units available, check out the glamping tab on our site. It won't let us share the link here on Airbnb, but if you search Progress Park, Louisville KY, you'll find us.

LOCATION: We have the most unique ability to provide our guests with an outdoor experience immersed in nature, that feels like you're far outside the city limits. But, we actually are not. We are still in the heart of Louisville metro, and close to all the city amenities. With that being said, we are still in the city, and a bit of an industrial area, so with that can come sounds of the city. We promise, as soon as you enter our gates, you'll have an instant calm and forget all your worries. Don't believe us, just read our 1,000+ 5 star reviews.

WATER ACTIVITIES: Boating is offered from March-Nov. Water activities are not available Dec-Feb. We have 5 beaches on property. Guests from the 11 rental units will be spread amongst the 5 beaches. Each beach has its own set of boats, life jackets & paddles. Beach assignments vary depending on what bookings/events are taking place on property. You will be given your beach assignment with your check-in info, the day of arrival before noon. We ask that guests return their boats, paddles & jackets to the boat walls before checkout. We typically only have 1 staff member on beach duty and it is very hard for one person to retrieve and hang all the boats on their own. Thanks!

WATER SAFETY: We only offer boating at Progress Park. We have found that having swimmers in the water combined with people paddling around isn't a safe combo.

Boating is at your own risk. Anyone under 18 yrs of age MUST wear a life jacket when in the water, NO EXCEPTIONS to that rule. If a child is seen without a jacket, they will be asked to exit the water. A large variety of life jackets are provided at each beach, however we cannot guarantee your size will be available, so feel free to bring your own, especially if you have someone who isn't as confident in the water. Children must be accompanied by an adult from their group on property at all times. No water activities are permitted after DUSK or during bad weather.

PETS: While we love animals, we do not allow pets on property. Thanks for your understanding.

RESTROOMS: On the LEFT side of the property, the externally accessed bathroom located on the back side of the Lake House (red door with metal bath signs) is available to guests in the LAKE HOUSE as well as the GRACE & GIGI AIRSTREAMS located behind the lake house. On the RIGHT side of the property, there are 2 shared bathrooms on the side of the RED bunk house. Those are available to all 6 units on the RIGHT side of the property. There is a property map listed in the photos if you'd like an idea of the layout.

GAMES: We have a variety of games & activities on property! This includes shuffleboard, Gaga Ball, Tetherball, Volleyball, Basketball, ladder golf, life size connect four & Jenga, a tree swing & a Playground. These activities are spread out around the property and are for everyone’s use. Please refer to the map for reference.

PAVILION: Our pavilion also serves as a pickle ball court. It is available to guests on property when not being rented for a private event. First come first served. If a private event is taking place, you will be alerted and that area won't be available during that time. Signs will also be placed out to show if it's reserved.

FIREPITS: Please do NOT move the firepit to any other location. It is placed in the spot it is in for safety reasons. If it rains, unfortunately you won't be able to have a fire, sorry. Please do NOT move the fire pit on the patio under the awning.

FIRE ASHES: Please DO NOT empty any fire ashes into any of the trash cans on property. This will cause a fire.

FISHING: Catch and release fishing is allowed, in a safe distance from guests in the water. Guests must provide their own bait and equipment & children must be supervised. No license is needed.

LINEN POLICY: Our linens, blankets & bath towels are not to be taken out to the fire pits or beaches. They are for use inside the units only. Please bring your own beach towels and blankets for the fire area. Thanks!

DECORATING POLICY: If you decorate for any reason, please note that we DO NOT allow glitter or confetti of any kind, including balloons filled with either of those. If glitter or confetti is found, a $150 fee will be charged for additional cleaning/labor.

TOILETS: Absolutely nothing other than toilet paper is to be flushed down the toilets, especially in the airstreams. No paper towels, wet wipes or tampons are to be flushed. They will clog the toilet and cause it to overflow into the camper. Thanks!

COFFEE: Our coffee pots are standard 10-cup coffee pots with a carafe. You’ll be provided with 2-3 individual bags of ground coffee. Each bag will have enough for ONE pot of coffee. Sugar packets & dry creamer, along with coffee mugs are also provided.

AMENITIES INCLUDED: As part of our all-inclusive glamping experience you can expect for the following to be included in your stay: Free Wi-fi, all bed linens & bath towels, all kitchen supplies, paper towels/toilet paper, hand soap, shampoo/conditioner, body wash, coffee/creamer/sugar, access to kayaks, canoes & paddle boards, a wagon for beach supplies, an assortment of life jackets, s'mores skewers, a couple bundles of firewood, stick lighter, lighter fluid and 6-8lbs of charcoal for the grill (the 2 big houses have gas grills). Each area is outfitted with Adirondack seating, hammocks, firepits and picnic tables.

Additionally, we also provide white noise machines in every unit to ensure a restful night's sleep, that you deserve so much!

Bring your food, clothes, beach towels & sunscreen! We try to take care of the rest!

BOOKING POLICY: We only book standard glamping stays through Airbnb with a max guest count that each unit allows for. For example if booking the lake house, it allows for 10 total guests and no more. We do host private events, larger gatherings or partial/full park rentals, but they are booked privately at an event rate. For that type of booking, you can submit an inquiry form on our personal site by clicking "book an event".

EVENTS: It is possible that a private event could be happening on some portion of the property during your glamping stay. This could include the Lake House/Buechel Beach, the Pavilion/Point Beach, or the Event Center. We will inform you of any events that are already on the calendar at the time of your booking. It is a very spacious property though, and we've designed it to allow for glamping & events to co-exist, so there’s plenty of room for everyone to enjoy!

SMOKING/DRUG POLICY
Cigarettes, vaping or smoking of any kind must be smoked outside and butts disposed of properly, and NOT on the ground. A large majority of our property is covered with mulch and is a fire hazard. We do not allow smoking of any kind inside any of our airstreams or buildings on property, and the use of drugs, including marijuana is strictly prohibited. If smoke is detected inside the unit after checkout, a $150 fee will be assesed for additional cleaning/labor.

INCLEMENT WEATHER: **In the event of inclement weather where taking cover would be necessary, the basement of the 502 House would be our safe place. If renting the 502 house, guests must be aware of this possibility.

** We don't do instant book and will require ample information about your group/intentions for our space when you submit your inquiry. If we feel unsure or unclear in any way we will decline the reservation.

ALL guests 18 and under MUST wear a life jacket when in the water. NO EXCEPTIONS. You will find a large selection of life jackets in the brown shed near the beach free for your use. We do our best to accommodate a variety of sizes, but cannot guarantee your size will always be available. If someone in your group is not a strong swimmer, please consider bringing your own life jacket for them, to ensure that you can partake in all the water activities.

NO PETS ARE ALLOWED. NO EXCEPTIONS.

ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING INSIDE ANY OF THE AIRSTREAMS OR HOUSES. IF THIS IS DETECTED, THERE WILL BE A $200 FINE.

Neighborhood highlights

The coolest part about our property is you get the feeling of escaping to the great outdoors, but are just minutes from all the amenities of Louisville.

We are situated with an industrial park type area on one side of the property and a residential area on the other. Grace is situated along the front fence line of our property along Progress Blvd, so some traffic noise can be expected. The plant across the street can have some noise, but mainly a humming sound that drowns out as white noise.

But the beach sand and water right outside your door will have you forgetting you're even in city limits.

We have Target, Walmart, Starbucks, Costco, Walgreens and Kroger just a mile down the road, and the Highlands Neighborhood on Bardstown road is full of local restaurants and hot spots.

Hey Ya'll! We're Val & Mike, Nick & Karey. Two couples that are best friends who had this crazy dream of creating an airstream park & event venue. And well...here we are! We're super excited to share it with you! We are all travel junkies with a love for the outdoors and camping. We've had a blast developing Progress Park and hope you will enjoy it and make lasting memories for you and your family. While Val is the one you'll do most of the communication with here on Airbnb, you'll likely see one or all of us during your stay. Might even see one of our kids bopping around on a golf cart, or digging in the sand beach. We hope you find our all inclusive style of camping worth while and most importantly, HAVE FUN!
