Actually I wanted to press 6 stars, but there are only 5... :(
I loved my stay at zen room. I immediately felt like home after I entered the house. It's very cozy and clean.
Whoever is planning to visit San Francisco should stay at Ryan's. His passion for detail makes that place to a special place.
The house is in a very safe neighborhood and only 5 minutes from the beach. My friend and me went for a run at the beach the first morning, which was very nice. :) The safe neighborhood is for young people - like my friend and me - a good point to stay there because many youth hostels are downtown San Francisco, which is not that nice.
Also there are many bus stations in the neighborhood and the busses take you everywhere. It's actually very easy to have a ride with the bus. I was surprised how easy it was. :)
Unfortunately I didn't meet Kimberly, but I met Ryan and John.
My friend and me had a couple conversations with John. He's a very nice guy and helpful, too. We were chatting and watching TV a little bit, while talking. It was so fun! :)
Ryan was quiet :) but definitely the most adorable guy I have met in a long time. :) I saw him taking care of the house and as I had a question, he immediately texted me back.
Also, I want to mention that it was my first time using air bnb. So, whoever is suspicious about the whole thing should have his/her first great experience at Ryan's, like me. :)
The stay made my trip just perfect. :)
We had such a wonderful stay at the Zen room! Ryan is a gracious & kind host, and their home is peaceful and serene. We enjoyed walking through the Golden Gate park to breakfast and the beach afterwards. A number of great restaurants and cafés are nearby within short walking distance. The neighborhood felt very safe and we were comfortable exploring the area. We would gladly stay here again & recommend the place to friends & anyone visiting the area.
The house is really tidy and clean, and nice area to live. I walked to golden gate park, and cliff house. Very friendly and helpful hosts and their friends. Thank you so much Ryan, John, Jason and Kimberly!!!!! Ryan helped me find pills for my nasal allergy. John helped me print out boarding card and lent me money for bus. Jason and kimberly helped me to get into the apartment :P Anyway, thank you all and nice meeting or talking to you all! I'll definitely book again if I can come to San Francisco again.
We stayed at Kimberly&Ryan for few days. The apartment is very well located, comfortable and clean.
If there is a shining star on the airbnb sky it is this place! I arrived a late night, found my way easily, and had no problems getting my key.
The next day I met Ryan and John, the permanent tenants living downstairs. Both are extremely sweet and welcoming and helpful. John even took me on a meet-up hike on my first weekend there helping me to get to know new people!
The neighbourhood is residential and quiet with the beautiful beach just around the corner and the Golden Gate Park very close by. About 20-30 minutes to get to downtown with bus, you don't have to change buses. I came home late a couple of times and never had to feel afraid walking from the busstop because it is such a nice area.
The house is snug and homely with alot of helpful notes everywhere to explain how everything works. Ryan keeps it tidy and so so clean. Kitchen and bathroom were always fresh, during the entire month I spent there! I'm fairly sensitive to smells, but not even the trash would smell badly. So the two most important things are present in this home: that it’s clean and that people are nice.
Everyone I met in this home was so helpful, nice and considerate. I honestly couldn’t have had a better start to my San Francisco experience. Thank you Ryan and John!
It was a great location for restaurants off of the beaten path. The close proximity of the beach was great with beautiful photo ops. Using Airbnb is extremely easy and hassle free.
It was a very welcoming and warm home. I really enjoyed my stay. Everything was very clean and they were very helpful with where to go and places to see in the neighborhood!
The hosts of this space really make an effort to communicate promptly and thoroughly as well as accommodate all of their guests. Overall our stay was lovely besides our first night. We stayed in this home because it was close to my boyfriends exam location our first morning in SF (we flew over from Korea!) we communicated in advance that we really needed quiet time and rest our first evening since my bf took his teaching credential exam the next morning. Unfortunately we were not told that the family staying in the 'peaceful room' we're planning on checking out at 3 AM that night and spent the whole night packing and shifting things around. Needless to say neither of is got much sleep that night. Be sure to ask if other guests in either of the two rooms in this house (all rental rooms) plan to check out at night if you hope to get a good sleep as this room is right by the kitchen (bright light enters the room when someone turns on the kitchen light) and at the main hall way (the floor is very loud and creaky).
Ryan was helpful and approachable during our stay. He responded fast to my message when I needed a last minute bike rental from him. Had a great stay with him!
Nice & clean room, perfect location to explore San Francisco!
