  • Wonderful visit to New York and a wonderful apartment to stay in. Great location, really cool building and interior, and everything worked well. Daphne was very friendly, welcoming and helpful so I would definitely recommend!

  • The loft space in Williamsburg looks exactly like it does in the photographs, maybe even a bit better. There's a wider longer living room table which I found helpful especially as a set up for my laptop and things I need for a remote office. The bed was indeed comfortable, and I slept in Egyptian cotton sheets.

In the four days I stayed there, I only saw Daphne once. That was at check in where she gave me the keys to the loft and a run down of all the cool chic restaurants and cafes around the neighborhood. She's super nice and friendly, and she lives next door (via sliding wall partition). I never saw her again, and she's always reachable by SMS or phone call.

A few things, this loft is definitely for young adults, singles, or couples. If you're travelling as a family or with small kids, its not for you, because the flat is on the 2nd floor and there's no lift. Also it's an artist loft warehouse built in the early 1900s, so there will be some noises, either from parties or general day to day noises that go on at all hours... so if you have babies or have any time sensitive schedule, the loft may not be for you. The stairs to the loft are old, so it's precarious. One day I slipped and fell, and my hands bled trying to hold on to the metal railing. But since it's an authentic loft, I knew what I was getting myself into. It's okay, only a minor cut. The wifi is super strong, and I could do work no problem. The kitchen has all the utensils you need if you're casually cooking. The bathroom only comes with hand soap, towels, and hair dryer, so bring your own everything else.

This was truly an authentic Brooklyn loft experience, and I recommend it for designers, artists, creative types... either single or in a romantic vacation. It's lovely, spacious, with amazing views and air flow. Just watch out for the stairs and the noise. Definitely I wouldn't recommend small children or kids, but everyone else I recommend this amazing loft. Daphne is a great host and has a great property.

  • Daphne was a delightful, informative and helpful host. Despite two long flights up and no lift, the accommodation was an absolute gem in a great location. A great Williamsburg experience.

  • Daphne was fabulous! She was not able to be there when we checked in but had her friend Elizabeth check us in. Elizabeth was wonderful too. We had issues with our flight and had to come in very late at night. They are kind, flexible and easy going. We felt very much at home. Comfy bed, comfy couch and all the amenities of home. The apartment is amazingly cool! A 3rd floor walk up with an artsy/cottage like feel. Great location - very safe and easy access. We would definitely stay there again.

  • The flat is an amazing unique loft space with so much light. The furniture is unique and the bed is amazingly comfortable. It is located at the cross road of the top hip streets of Williamsburg and has five star reviewed restaurants , coffee places and other eateries dotted around the place within less than 5 minutes walk. There are local stores and supermarkets too. Finally the place is five minutes away from the L and M subway. And ten minutes walk from the J train. It even is nearby a shared bike scheme rack. Daphne was very welcoming and gave us many tips on the area. If you were not sure about staying in Williamsburg, just believe the hype and make Hope street your starting point. We had an amazing week here.

  • We had a great stay at Daphne's wonderful apartment, which is located right at the center of lovely Williamsburg. Just around the corner of Bedford Ave and train station to Manhattan. The loft is charming and looks just like on the pics. It was always a pleasure to come home after a long sightseeing day. Often the accommodation is the least memorized thing after a city trip...this is different here!! Sometimes it was a little bit loud, because the steps on the floorboard of the neighbors above aren't silent..but you get used to it. Daphne gave us great tips and all we've went for were good! Samurai Mama is definitely a place worth visiting if you're into Japanese food. Have a great stay :-) And don't miss the Williamsburg flea market on Sundays.

  • No sleep til Brooklyn! Comfy bed, cool art, toasty fireplace, large windows, sweet accommodating hosts - all in all a great experience! Just be careful because Momofuku Milkbar is located just a couple blocks from the apt...addictive desserts!

  • We really enjoyed our stay in Daphne's beautiful apartment, the location is great- very close to Bedford Avenue and its subway station which is only one stop from Manhattan. It's comforting to know that Daphne was only the other side of the sliding door in the kitchen if we needed her for anything, and she was very helpful when we needed it- we found it in no way intrusive having our hosts right next door.

The apartment was exactly as described- very clean & comfortable, good wifi, functional kitchen and the thermostat-controlled open gas fire does an excellent job of heating the entire loft. There was plenty of storage in all areas of the loft, extensive channels on the tv for the very rare occasion we stopped for long enough!

We slept wonderfully (amazing bed!) but were occasionally disturbed by heavy footsteps from the apartment above. We were given a set of keys each which was very useful, these operated the gated entrance, the main door to the building and the apartment itself so with three locked doors we always felt super secure.

There was a decent sized grocery store just round the corner which had everything we could have needed food and drink-wise. Plenty of restaurants, cafés and takeaways with loads of choice for us as vegetarians- we highly recommend Wild Ginger on Bedford Avenue! There is stunning graffiti all around Williamsburg which really adds to its wonderful character.

The Smorgasburg at East River Park 10 minute walk) is well worth a visit for yummy local speciality foods or even just its view of Manhattan!

We wouldn't hesitate to come back and stay with Daphne again, we loved every minute of our stay- thank you so much for having us and for all of your help!
