I had a wonderful stay. Garry is very kind and the location is extremely convenient to the train and bus stations. The rooms are toasty-warm which made such a difference when visiting in November.
A pleasant B&B right in Inverness a few blocks walk to the center center. Very affordable. Small, clean room for a single person, nice to have a sink in the room. Easy coordination to get the room key, I was getting into town without specific times. Wonderful breakfast and they helped me by calling a taxi to the bus station, very accommodating.
Lovely place! Garry is very nice and helpful, the place is spotless, the breakfast is excellent and the location is as good as it can get, considering all the B&Bs and so on are roughly in this area. Inverness is a small city and you an walk to pretty much anywhere from this place and I had a great time. My only regret is that I didn't spend one more day in Inverness.
Had a marvellous experience. Garry and his mom could not have been more hospitable and inviting. The location was excellent and the directions were perfect. Someone was always available to answer any questions and Garry went out of his way to help me see a destination that I wanted to see. Absolutely charming and traditional. The breakfast was amazing as well and so filling that I was not hungry until dinner. You can't go wrong with Ardgarry!
Garry and Laura were perfect hosts - I felt like I was at a home away from home without being smothered. Very kind people. I would stay there again (and I hope to have that chance!).
I had a lovely stay at Ardgarry Guest House. Garry is a wonderful host, instantly making you feel at home when you walk through the door. He is happy to help with any questions about where to go and what to see. The room was lovely and the breakfast was delicious in the morning. Thanks for a great stay Garry!
nice place to stay , and it is clean, i like it.
Ardgarry Guest House is a nice place to stay. Gary and his mom have place well organized. It is located a short walk from the center of Inverness The place is very quiet and clean. Breakfasts are varied and delicious. On my last morning Gary was kind enough to take me to the train station. Go and see them. they will treat you right.
Garry goes above and beyond to be the kindest and most gracious host. I can't imagine why anyone would stay anywhere other than Ardgarry House while visiting Inverness. My room was spotless and quiet. It had everything I needed. The bathroom was sparkling clean and the shower was wonderful. Garry went out of his way to help me. I arrived late after working a full day 6 hours away. He met me at the station to make that last part of the trip easier. He stayed in excellent touch with me before, during and after my stay as needed. The breakfast was better than most restaurants. The fruit was fresh and there was enough food to keep me full for a busy day traveling. I can't wait to stay at Ardgarry again!
Gary is a very nice host, very thoughtful and willing to help as much as he can. He picked me up at the station, proposed to drive me to Cawdor Castle which is hard to reach by bus, and made sure my stay was agreeable.
The single room I was in is quite small but has a sink and a very comfortable bed, as well as tea/coffee facilities. The wifi doesn't work very well in it but enough to get my emails and even (website hidden) a friend.
The only thing that bothered me was really not coming from Gary but from other guests. As the bedroom was next door to the bathroom and the hot water machine a bit noisy, guests are asked not to take showers after 10pm, but some are not respectful enough and used shower two or three times in a row past midnight.
As I said : it's not Gary's fault at all and a word to the other guests could be enough to end this question.
Apart from that, I had a very nice stay, breakfast is nice and huge, and the guesthouse is really ideally located 5 minutes walk to the city centre. A place to recommend !
