The Space

Two Private, furnished rooms available for nightly and weekly rentals in cozy 3 BR/2BA house located in a safe neighborhood a short block north of Minnehaha Creek, and two short blocks from Lake Hiawatha. The rooms are located on the main level with plenty of sunlight, and there is quick access to a full bath, linen closet, dining and living rooms, as well as the kitchen. One room has a NEW QUEEN BED, and the other has a full sized bed. I stay out of your way as much as possible, but am happy to give you any information about the area.

Several other amenities included, such as:

~Porch (courtesy of HGTV's 'Decorating Cents'), patio
~Easy access to light rail station (7 blocks) and bus routes (2 blocks)
~2 short blocks to Lake Hiawatha, 6 short blocks to Lake Nokomis, and 8 blocks to Minnehaha Falls
~One short block to paved trails for walking/biking/running/cross country skiing along Minnehaha Creek
~Wireless Internet, Cable TV
~Newer gas cooking stove
~Off street parking (per availability), and plenty of on street parking
~Piano from the roarin' 20s
~Hardwood floors, oak buffet

~Larger, more private bathroom in basement with jetted tub and ceramic tile
~Occasional access to "the lounge" w/ bar and turntable for your vinyl records, and for musician rehearsal space
~Large private room (23' x 14') on the second level for yoga practice, with an in house yoga instructor available for one to one or group sessions (upon request).

There is just an extra 10.00 for an additional person.

There are two smaller rooms located on the main level with quick access to a full bath, dining and living rooms, and the kitchen.

Musicians! Ask about available rehearsal space, and hosting a house concert!

Price would cover all of these amenities, except a 5.00 gratuity for breakfast service.

Look forward to hearing from you!

  • Our host, Keith, has perfected the art of unobtrusive hospitality! He explained the workings of his house clearly and responded quickly to texts when we had questions. We appreciated having access to the kitchen, which had all the necessary items for lunch- making/ breakfast/ Keith put on the coffee pot in the morning so his jet-lagged guests could get rolling! The house was very comfortable for three--- we stored bikes on the porch, then hopped on the bike trail one block away. Corner store, bakery, coffee shop were a pleasant 15 minute walk/ away. When it got too hot and muggy for outdoor fun, the house was cool and comfortable. We would happily stay here again.

  • I am a snowbird spending the summer upnorth to avoid the Florida heat. My needs are modest and they were met and exceeded for the entire month of June at Keith's home. I am a hiker and his place is ideally situated among park trails and lakes. Keith is interesting, well informed and very helpful. He is also busy, so you generally have his home to yourself. A good arrangement for me.

  • This was my first Airbnb experience, and I am glad it was with Keith..His place was just like home, and he treated me like a brother. I even asked him to join me one night for a bite at a local microbrew.

The neighborhood couldn't be quieter, and the key was it was SO CLOSE to the extensive bicycle trails that Minneapolis had to offer. I hope to come back soon, and it will for sure be at Keith's place again

  • Keith's place was great, just like the pictures, and he's a good guy. I stayed for a week while visiting with a show at the Orpheum Theatre. He was kind enough to let me play the drumset in the basement, and I had the house to myself over the weekend while he was playing an out-of-town gig. Felt very comfortable with two decent sized bedrooms at my disposal (I used one for my 2nd suitcase and a yoga mat). Would definitely stay there again! Close to Minnehaha Falls, parks, lake.

  • First I'm pleased to share to all out there Airbnb world about my stay at Keith's place. Keith is a gracious host and my acquaintance with him is valuable being we are both artist in the music performing industry.

My visit meant more than just housing for my time there but appears that Keith and I have much in common with regards to future business in the arts arena.

Keith's cottage, as I call it was quaint, warm and comfortable.
Look for possible music art productions collaborated from the two of use and our colleagues.

    Thanks again Keith. Chester

  • Staying with Keith has been amazing! His home is cozy, inviting, safe, clean and an environment that invites creativity. Keith is warm, friendly and accommodating. If you're coming to Minneapolis and you want to feel like your home away from home I would suggest staying at Keith's.

  • I stayed with Keith very recently for a longer period of time, about five weeks, because of performances I was dancing in. Keith is a great host and very accomodating. A talented singer and musician, he is very laid-back and easy to talk to, which made my stay very comfortable and I felt very much at ease coming and going.
The house is very cute, cosy, and inviting. Around Christmas time, I also had family members stay there as well, and everyone loved the house.
Convenient location to the light rail (probably even more convenient in warmer months, as it was below zero when I was there and it's a seven block walk, which I managed anyway), and to bus #22 (two blocks away) which winds through parts of south Mpls. and takes you downtown. Would be a great stay in summertime because of the nearby Lake Hiawatha and the parkway for walks and biking. And the cute front porch to hang out on.

I would definitely stay again and hope to do so in the near future when I need to be back in Minnesota again.

  • My 2 weeks spent at Keith's house were wonderful -- his home is clean, uncluttered, calm and peaceful. I loved the neighborhood -- his street is quiet, there are nice walking/biking paths at the end of the street, beautiful lakes and parks. It was a short drive into downtown with easy access to the transit system if needed. Thank you for your kind hospitality and for checking in to make sure I had everything I needed. I enjoyed my time in Minneapolis!

Personable, creative, and down to earth. By day, I train disabled individuals on the daily operations of a digital imaging and copy center. I am also a semi-pro musician (currently writing music for a play to be featured at the reputable Jungle Theater). Very open to meeting new people!
