Interaction with Guests
I am on the Island about 1/3 of my time so it's hard to estimate if I'll be there or not. Either way we are ready to welcome you to the island. There is a cottage booklet to help you with getting around the island, places to see and any help if you should need it.
There are no neighbors on either side of the cottage or even across the street. Traveling in either direction of the cottage there are a few houses a distance away. On one side there is a dead end road which is a good place for children to bike ride. In the opposite direction there are also a few houses. No homes are visible from the cottage so it's very private.
There is no public transportation system on the island; in fact, there are no street lights, just some stop signs. Cars should travel at 25mph, walking, biking are encouraged.
Guests are expected to respect the owner’s home and not cause any damage. Pet accidents should be cleaned up promptly and spot remover applied. Any unforeseen damage should be reported, accidents do happen.
This was a wonderful place! Very relaxing and serene. The cottage space was well appointed and perfect for our family of four. Denise was kind enough to leave a map of the island, as well as activity ideas and a ferry schedule. My daughter described it as magical and my son very much enjoyed the purple plush bath robe. Thoughtful touches like the handmade soap, hot chocolate and firewood for smores made us feel like we were staying at a friends place. Thank you for the wonderful weekend, the memories are priceless.
All was as described in the posting, and the location was very tranquil. A few tiny glitches were handled very quickly and Denise could not have been more kind and responsive.
Beautiful, spacious, well-appointed space with comfortable king bed and bunk beds.
