Enjoyed our stay at the tipi! Laura was very welcoming and friendly. Enjoyed visiting with all of the critters, too. Porsha the cat spent the night with us! The place is as described, rustic and homey. Great location.
From the moment we arrived, Laura and Ben were incredibly hospitable and welcoming. They were accommodating in our arrival time (which had to be pushed back due to a delay in plans) and once we got to the property didn't hesitate to show us around the entire grounds, complete with a fire pit, horse stable, chicken coop, common lounge area and bathhouse. Although our stay was short we enjoyed every second of it. Thanks for a memorable time!
I loved everything about staying at this listing!! My hosts were there to greet us and showed us their whole property, which was truly unique and comforting. The tipi was gorgeous, spacious, and the bed inside of it was extremely cozy. The view of the sunset over the sand dunes was beautiful along with our fire. The bathroom was also very nice and they provided all necessary amenities. I would definitely come back to stay here again!! Thank you!
We had a wonderful stay. Laura and Ben were great hosts; very welcoming and very nice folks. The tipi was great! Actually even better than the pictures. The bed was very comfortable and the extra blankets were much needed (it was wonderfully cool at night during our stay). If you stay with Ben & Laura take some time to wander around the property. We stayed 3 days and constantly found new interesting things they have put together. Loved all the reclaimed materials. If you want a great alternative to traditional camping (without having to drag all your camping equipment on the airplane) I would highly recommend staying with Laura & Ben.
Laura was great communicating about the reservation prior to arrival. Once we got there, we met Laura and her husband, who you can instantly tell are warm and caring people. We got a tour of the place and were astonished at the character and originality of the grounds. We stayed in the teepee, which was large enough for two people. I'm 6'1" tall and it was more than sufficient for me. The bed was very comfortable and the fire pit was supplied with plenty of wood. The bathhouse was clean and private. Water pressure was good and there's a spare shower outside. We loved our overnight stay and can't wait to return. If you're looking for a unique outdoor experience, look no further.
This property is incredible! The photos do not do justice the unique and beautiful home the Doty family has built. Both Laura and her husband were so fun, beyond sweet, and just seemed like the people you want to keep in your life forever. The tipi was magnificent, and the bed was so comfortable and warm. I couldn't have enjoyed my stay more and can't wait to go back!
