We offer a clean, well-appointed 1 bedroom with living room suite that is perfect for people who want to be close to the downtown core, business district, and tourist attractions.
We ask that our guests be respectful of our suite, the furnishings and supplies, and also respectful of our fellow condo owners. Excessive noise will not be tolerated. Smoking is limited to outside the building. Pets, though we love them, are not able to stay in our heritage building.
The Tenant(s) agree to be responsible for any and all damages howsoever caused, be same innocent, negligent or willful, and whether caused by the Tenant(s), any one of them or any person on the Rented Premises. The Tenant(s) further agrees to notify the Landlord immediately upon the Tenant(s) becoming aware of any damage.
The maximum number of tenants and guests is limited to four (4) persons day or night. No weddings, graduations, receptions, parties, or similar events allowed.
The Tenant(s) agrees to return the one bedroom with living room suite in the same condition it was found.
In the event that the tenants(s) and guest(s) do not execute the cancellation agreement, the tenant(s) agrees that the owner may charge the sum of $600 per night provided the tenants(s) and guest(s) do not check out on their pre-arranged check-out date.
No Daily Housekeeping services
While linens and bath towels are included, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate, however, it is available at an additional rate.
We do not permit towels or linens to be taken from the one bedroom with living room suite.
Any reservation obtained under false pretense will be subject to forfeiture of advance payment, deposit and/or rental money, and the party will not be permitted to check in.
The Tenant(s) agrees that the Landlord shall not be liable for any loss, injury or damage to persons or property, loss of enjoyment, whether direct or consequential, resulting from such being on or about the Rented Premises whether caused by fire, smoke, theft, burglary, conditions due to the weather such as ice on the grounds, or for any cause whatsoever. The Tenant(s) further agrees that their use of the Rental Premises is at their sole risk.
We highly recommend all tenant(s) and guest(s) purchase travel, personal liability and property insurance.
The Tenant(s) for good and valid consideration, including the granting of possession of the Rental Premises pursuant to the terms of this Rental Agreement, hereby agree to indemnify the Landlord and save them harmless with respect to any claim, demand, cause of action or actions made by any person against the Landlord, their agents and servants for damage or injury arising during the period of the Rental Agreement on or about the Rental Premises.
Use of Grounds
The Tenant(s), his/her family and guest(s) shall use the common areas, and walks within the area owned by the Landlord in a quiet and proper manner and with due regard to the comfort and convenience of other Tenants and neighbours, and shall desist from any course of conduct considered objectionable by any agent of the Landlord upon being requested to do so.
Parking is optional. A parking spot is a 1/2 block away (30 second walk) and is $10 plus HST per night per vehicle. No reservation required.
Any illegally parked cars in the area are subject to towing; applicable fines/towing fees are the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner.
Pets are NOT allowed.
Smoking/Smoke Detectors/Fire Extinguisher
There is no smoking permitted in the one bedroom with living room suite or throwing cigarette butts on the grounds, or in the surrounding walkways/parking lots.
The Landlord shall ensure that there is a functional smoke detector and fire extinguisher installed in the Rented Premises at the time the Tenant(s) takes possession of the rented premises.
A Tenant(s), his/her family or guest(s) who disable(s) a smoke detector is subject to a fine under Ontario law.
Both the Landlord and the Tenant(s) hereto agree and understand that a fax transmission of this Rental Agreement shall be considered to be an original, and shall be legally binding upon all parties.

We took a last minute trip to Ottawa and contacted Catherine while driving on the highway. She was friendly and quick to reply. Once we completed the process we checked in. The place looks exactly as the picture. It was clean spacious and well prepared. We enjoyed our 2 day stay as everything was conviniently organized and planned for us. The decor is unique, warm and inviting. We called Catherine as we had a question and she answered right away and was pleasant and not bothered to help. Overall it was a great experience and we will definetly stay here again if we return to Ottawa.
We really do not mind last minute guests and we do our best to have everything ready for those unexpected calls from weary travelers!

We are very detailed oriented in what we offer (we want you to feel like you have most everything you would find in your own home). And, we pride ourselves on working very hard to keep things clean and fresh!

Beautiful space and just what I needed for my Winterlude escapade.
The place is as beautiful as the pictures make it out to be and can comfortably sleep 4 people with two very private rooms. Everything ran like a well-oiled machine and it had all the amenities of a hotel. We were given a very comprehensive tour on arrival which was much appreciated, and the hosts are very accessible if needed. The neighbourhood is quiet and close to Byward market. You are also very close to the best Shawarma place in Ottawa (Shawarma Palace) which is a city known for it's Shawarma.
One thing to note: be sure to ask about how to work the heating system as it's a historic building with radiators. There are instructions but it took me a while to master so it's worth asking about.
You will not regret staying here and I hope to return on my next trip to Ottawa.
Catherine was a prompt and friendly host and was very accommodating with our late check-in. The apt is just as nice as you see pictures and the building was quiet and well appointed ! Affordable and good neighbourhood. Would definitely recommend this place and stay again.
The apartment we rented from Catherine was just beautiful. A very unique and modern style space with anything and everything that you might need. The furniture was cozy and the bed was super comfortable. This apartment is way better than any hotel room. We would definitely stay there again. A 10/10/experience.

The host left us a nice and detailed booklet with all the important information you will need to know to get around Ottawa. The location was very convenient. I offer unique, super clean, and well equipped rental properties in Ottawa and I take my responsibilities seriously.
When I travel and stay in private homes I expect to have all the basics available (like spices, coffee, teas, sugar, bathroom tissue, laundry soap) as well as finding the kitchen to have an abundance of pots/pans, knives, serving bowls, baking sheets, casserole dishes, etc.
Since I have found this is not always the case, I understand how disappointing that can be, so I tend to go overboard and offer everything I can think of.
I am a retired interior designer and a Cordon Bleu grand diplome chef. I have taken my training and experience from these two fields and applied it to offering the best accommodations for my guests, including a well-stocked kitchen! :-))
