Thomas has an amazing flat VERY close to Montmarte. We visited Paris on our way back from surfing in south of France and Thomas' flat made our stay more the comfortable! Will surely consider renting the flat when I visit Paris again!
Thomas is an ideal host. Very helpful and friendly. I would recommend his flat when stating in Paris.
Thomas was an incredible host, who gave us a warm welcome the moment we arrived in Paris. He was extremely helpful and thorough in answering any questions we had. Throughout our stay, he also checked up on us via message to ensure everything was going well.
The apartment was clean and had everything we needed - from wine glasses, to a fully functional TV, to candles, and even a selfie stick - this charming apartment felt like home. I also couldn't believe how convenient the location was - less than 2 minutes to the Metro!
All in all, I would highly recommend staying with Thomas, who is a fantastic host.
First experience with Airbnb and it couldn't have been better.
We arrived earlier than expected but Thomas came straight from his work to meet us.
The apartment is in a great secure location, it was our first time visiting Paris so the help we received with metro information and good places to eat from Thomas was great.
The apartment is cosy and very clean, we couldn't find the smallest amount of dust. Apartment looks exactly like the pictures.
There was even cold beers in the fridge.
Thomas makes it clear he wants you to treat his place like your own and this makes for all the better experience. There is a huge TV with tons of blue Rays, a. Tablet and even a selfie stick that we put to good use around Paris.
If we visit Paris again we wouldn't stay anywhere else, thanks a lot Thomas!
Thomas was an incredible host who made us feel so welcome and comfortable in his apartment/city! Greeting us with food and water was a particularly nice touch! The area of his apartment is really good with metro near by and the Sacre Coeur just up the road. The apartment had everything including a smart TV and a tablet! We are already planning our next trip, cannot say thank you to Thomas for making our stay in Paris so special!
Thomas greeted us at the front gate as soon as our taxi arrived.
The journey from Nord was approx. 20mins by taxi and cost approx 16euros by the meter. When you leave Nord do not get in a cab from those who offer it outside- we were quoted 60euros. Turn the corner and get one of the official city taxis like a black cab in London.
The apartment was spotless and had a very nice smell to it. All kitchen accessories were already there and Thomas even had breakfast for us which I thought was a very nice gesture!
The bathroom is very clean which is an absolute necessity for my girlfriend. The apartment itself is very safe and secure. You need a code to get in one door, a key to enter the next, then of course your front door key- which made us feel at ease.
If you plan to stay here, I will not mention anything about the bed... except two words- mind-blowing!
Thomas has a nice TV in the house and plenty of good blu-rays for you to watch, a tablet for you to use and of course- a 'Selfie Stick'. Which really adds to the trip. "Treat his house like your own".
The neighbourhood is- in my opinion- ideal; just out of the centre of paris and can be reached in about 15mins by metro from eifell etc. The nearest Metro station is Guy Moquet (Line 13) which takes you straight to Champs-Elysee (Oxford St/ Marble Arch Equivalent) in 15mins. For those who are travelling to Paris for the first time, have no fear, the metro system is easier than I imagined.
I feel like I have mastered every route in less than 4 days.
There is a Pizza Hut around the corner for those 'movie nights' where you can't be bothered to cook and clean. Supermarkets in very close proximity, Cafe's on the 'strip' and pharmacies also.
Get a Paris Visite pass 1-3, just so you have that freedom of hopping on and off the metro whenever you feel like it.
Walk from Arc de Triomphe down to The Louvre Museum which is a fairly long walk but a popular tourist route. Takes about an hour if your not in a rush!
MonteMarte- Very close by to Thomas apartment, I would still say get the metro there ('Anvers' - Line 2). Nice place to walk around get a few souvenirs, see the cathedral or even just chill out.
Place de Clichy- Quite a few places to eat for lunch etc, quieter than the busy centre of Paris.
There are even some nice stall food to eat at the Eifell and some nice greenery to relax.
All in all, I felt that going to Paris and exploring yourself is the best thing to do, don't plan too much, just go with the flow, some things will take longer/shorter than planned.
If I was to go back, I would definitely stay here again! 100%!
Me and my boyfriend had a pleasant stay at Thomas' place. It's a quiet, safe and beautiful appartment, with all the facilities you need located nearby the centre of Montmartre. Thomas was very welcoming and took the time to explain about his appartment the neighbourhood. The only point of criticism was that the bedlinen weren't clean. Probably because there is too little time to clean up between different guests.
