Hi There - just respect the house as it were your own - in so far as possible please leave it as you found it. We use oil for central heating. In winter - a generous daily allowance will be allowed for central heating. Once your daily allowance for the central heating has been used it will be necessary to apply a surcharge for any additional usage. This will be explained on your arrival. In summer there is little need for central heating.
Respecting the house will ensure that all will enjoy their stay.
Any problems with any thing don't hesitate to contact me.

Many thanks Fi
We had a wonderful weekend at Fi and Brendan's house. We did not get to meet Fi but Brendan made us feel extremely welcome. He gave us some information on local sites to visit and encouraged us to contact him should we require any further assistance. They also stocked the fridge with all the essentials for breakfast the next day. Overall we had a very positive experience and would highly recommend staying with Fi and Brendan.
Wonderful experience. Place very well kept, super clean and comfortable. Nicely lit up (Christmas period) and decorated. Our hosts looked after us and were very attentive to details. Accomodation offered all neccesities; the space and comfort we needed. thanks for your time, the information you gave us. Highly Recommended
Just like staying with friends. Brendan is incredibly thoughtful, even helping us with a personal situation we had failed to plan for. The cottage is clean and had everything we needed for comfort. The area is beautiful and very quiet (we over slept every day of our stay). Truly a wonderful place.
My wife and I stayed here with our 18 months son while we looked for permanent accommodation after moving to Ireland. Brendan and Fi are both very humble and hospitable family. The house is beautiful, very clean and possess everything a family with child needs to have. When we arrived Brendan was waiting for us at the house and was easily accessible all the time through the phone to give us directions. The neighborhood is great and quite. Great Location for a weekend break or to stay longer period. With in easy reach to Dublin and other neighboring counties. Highly recommended.
Unfortunately i wasnt on this trip to fis home but my mother and friend and nephews and nieces where.they had an absolutely brilliant stay and i believe they couldnt have had better and more welcoming hosts.thanks
Fi and Brendan were great hosts and the cottage is lovely, clean and spacious. We stayed there for 2 nights with a toddler. The location is perfect for those wishing to see a bit of the 'off the beaten path' Ireland - bogs, stud farms and such. We had a grand time exploring and learning and would definitely recommend staying with Fi and Brendan if you are in the area.
This is a brilliant cottage near to (website hidden) and Brendan made us incredibly welcome and gave us total privacy. Their knowledge of the surrounding area was fantastic. All in all a perfect fully equipped cottage. Thanks.
About the Host, Fi
I live in rural Kildare which is about an hour from Dublin.
I know the area well because I was raised in the local parish.
Our house is next to the one advertised and we have 2 pet dogs.
Kildare is within easy travelling distance to race courses [Curragh, Punchestown and Naas] and scenic attractions. We are just an hour away from the famous Glendalough, 10 minutes from the Market Town of Athy and close to Kildare and Newbridge. The area is steeped in history. The Japanese Gardens and the Irish National Stud along with Kildare Village Outlet Shopping are located adjacent to Kildare town.
