The space

Hi, and welcome to our flat!

We are 'Central!'despite some glitches with the map, we are placed in London's Zone 1, just off the Edgware Road.

We are on the North West side of central London. It's a 25 min walk to Oxford Street (shopping!) and Hyde park (Speakers corner!). We are a 15 minute walk from Regent's park (my favourite royal park), and 5 minutes from a beautiful canal side walk starting on Regents Canal, which is listen in the London's Rivers and waterways guide.

Walk 15 mins in the other direction and you can take your picture on the crossing outside The Beatles famed Abbey Road Studios.

And just three minutes away is a wonderful 'real' english street market, with cheap fruit and veg and great street food, and a little further up on of London's finest antiques and vintage markets. You will also find a supermarket just round the corner - perhaps not an attraction, but necessary!

The bus stop is 3 minute walk away, with many great bus routes and there are three tube stations very close by the nearest is about 10 minute walk and the furthest is 15, between them you have 4 tube lines to take you anywhere and everywhere).
We also have an Oyster bike stand literally 2 minutes away from the apartment (London's City Cycles) which you can use for free and are a fun way to explore the city).

We are very near Paddington, perfect if you are coming via the Heathrow Express/Connect. If you are coming from Luton or Stansted you can get off at Marble Arch stop and you are also very close. Eurostar is 20 mins on the bus or tube.

Hugh Grant's 'Notting Hill' otherwise famous for The NOTTING HILL CARNIVAL is a short bus ride away. You could probably be at attractions like Sherlock Holmes' Baker Street in 15 mins or the lovely shopping in Marlybone. For the National Gallery/Leicester Square, Tate you could be there in 30 mins, and if you wanted to go East to Whitechapel Gallery or Brick Lane you could be there in 45.

The place itself is bright, airy, very clean, and big for a London flat (56 square meters). I've been told the pictures are very accurate, and if anything the place is a little nicer in real life.

The apartment is equipped with everything you need from shampoo to olive oil, hairdryer to iron, and of course the obvious stuff like Wifi, TV and fresh towels.

I've always been very happy in this flat – and hope you are too. Look forward to hearing from you or meeting you.

Just drop me a line and lets talk:)

I am quite easy going, just as long as both parties are fair, not too loud at night and respectful of the neighbours, I'm sure everything will be fine. I normally leave extra bedding and towels for the guests, but if you don't need them, then it saves on washing/cleaning/the environment.

The building is expected to recycle so please take your recycling to the big bins by the entrance gates.

Other than that, enjoy your stay!

Ewa has been a great host: everything fell perfectly into place, from the pre-trip(with lots of mails about her preferred restaurants, pub and watering holes in general), to the checkin (she went to buy juice for our next morning breakfast, as we arrived around 20 ) and the uncomplicated check out. The flat is very nice, superclean, and perfectly located. It has been one of the cases in which the reality was even better than the displayed pictures. Regent's park is close by for a wonderful jog, tube is 10 minutes walk and the area is perfectly safe and loaded with shops and food to go. I loved my staying there, and will surely go again whenever i'll be in london. Pefect flat for a family . Thumbs super up!!

Excellent stay at Ewa's place in a colourful neighbourhood. The apartment is as featured and small touches made the place cozy. Really appreciated the small pint of milk and juice provided in addition to the towels. Location within walking distance to an underground and bus stops. Also very near to Paddinton station which makes it easy to get to from heathrow airport. Highly recommended!

Place was clean and comfortable. Not too far from bus stop. Tube station wasn't that close. Was a little confusing where the flat was when first arriving but happy over all.

This was a great place to stay on London, very close to everything and so easy to get around by bus and underground. Ewa was a great help keeping in contact with us by email before our arrival. Unfortunately we didn't get to meet her but she arranged for someone to let us int the apartment and give us some startup assistance. We would happily stay there again.

Wonderful Apartment, near by Maida Hill, one of the most beautiful quarters in London. Modern furniture, good Equipment, calm and very clean. The location is fantastic, only a few minutes with the bus to the London City, Bus 414 runs directly to Oxford Street. Ewa was very attentive, she gave us a lot of fantastic recommodations for shopping, eating and other things to do. We've really enjoyed staying in Ewa's apartment and in London.

Unfortunately Ewa was away for our visit but she provided excellent information about local shops & recommendations for restaurants and sights further afield, we enjoyed lunch on the roof of the antiques market on our first afternoon. The local street market fruit was OK (affected by the heat), but it was worth the trip to Borough Markets for much fresher & more variety stunning fresh produce! We wish we had gone earlier. We found it a decent 10 minute walk to the tube (15 at easier pace), and had difficulty finding the city circle tube station as the nearest Edgeware Road station is closed and you have to walk further under the overpass and a block to the east (left). It would be helpful to have tube & London tourist maps in the apartment, wifi great to check this but if you don't have internet connection 'on the street' a paper map is essential. Edgeware Road toward the tube is very Turkish, and north of the canal very 'English', worth exploring both. The apartment was very spacious, quiet; it took a while to get used to the futon mattresses (hard).

We are a family of four and spent a fantastic week in Ewa's apartment. We were out most of the day - so much to do in London and it was so good to be able to come back to a clean flat and make a coffee. We walked a few minutes and could get buses to all over the city - economical with an oyster card. We didn't get to meet Ewa but she kept in touch by e-mail, giving us loads of tips about the area. We also had an early check-in and late check-out. Thanks Ewa!
